Konserthuset Stockholm

I am sure the architecture is stunning, unfortunately for us this visit we’ll never know :-(, next time I guess!

Located in the heart of Stockholm, Konserthuset impresses with its stunning neoclassical architecture and rich musical history. Home to the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic and the Nobel Prize ceremonies, it’s a must-visit for music lovers.

My first time at this concert hall last Friday for a philharmonic concert and I really enjoyed it. Beautiful building with a lot of history, plenty of space for coat check, and a lovely cafe space in the lobby. Staff were very kind and helpful. And the acoustics are absolutely incredible at this concert hall. The sound envelops you like a blanket. (I sat in the first row of the 2nd mezzanine)

Architectural gem with fabulous interiors. Excellent example of the style Swedish Grace 1920 classicism. Concerts have been varied and always great experiences. Enjoyable even from last minute tickets for seats with less visibility.

God example of Swedish grace (neoclassical design) unique for the Northern countries (modernism came to Sweden 1930). It was designed by Ivar Tengbom and built between 1923-26. I especially appreciate the keen sense for details. Beautiful building. Worth a visit!

A great traditional concert hall with welcoming staff and comfortable seating. Enjoyed a remarkable summer performance by the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. The stage is perfectly elevated, not too high or too low - this created an intimate connection between the audience and the performers!
