The Stockton Inn Hotel Review | Hotels Above Par

"Just across the street, the sister property Stockton Market serves as a refined neighborhood hub where I could grab a coffee, fresh produce, artisanal pastries, and pantry staples—handy for provisioning a stay or packing a cooler for a ride on the nearby trails."

Been to this place MANY times since they opened last year and can’t think of a single negative thing to say. I have definitely observed that their success lies not only in the outstanding quality of the food, but also in the exceptional service I’ve consistently gotten from their amazing staff. Special shoutout to Sophie whose warm smile and personal touch always make every customer feel like a VIP. Her recommendations have NEVER disappointed and always left us with a happy belly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I was drawn to this place while driving by. A lady seated on the front patio sipping an iced coffee and enjoying a baked treat looked too idyllic for me not to stop. The interior is just as alluring as the exterior. A small shop and produce stand as well as a seating area for dining in. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best experience with the staff here. First, I was waiting to order a coffee and another lady who seemed to have worked there and just gotten off her shift rudely and without concern just walked right up to the cashier knowing that I was obviously waiting to place my order. I didn’t feel like arguing, so I just stayed quiet and waited. When I did finally order, the young woman at the cash register seemed like she was having a tough day. I get it. I’ve been there as a hospitality worker myself. She was not mean, but just short and impolite. It almost felt as if I shouldn’t have been here at all. While the space was welcoming, the people were not, in my experience at least. I would come back and try again though because I know as humans we all have our good days and our bad days.

Something for everyone and then some. Baked goods, great breads, brunch menu that suprises with it execution of well prepared, local, fresh food. Great shop for gifts, groceries, or just something to cook for dinner. Love the addition of prepared foods and proteins ready to throw on the grill. Not to mention friendly service from cashier to the super helpful people helping to keep the place clean. Keeps us coming back!

fantastic food! My friends took me for a late breakfast and I had an incredible maple coffee too, there were so many lovely things to buy and shop around. Great products with wonderful ingredients and a superb menu! I got the honey bee toast.

Google
Fantastically amazing! The small menu is a prefect way to start the day. They use the finest ingredients and do everything in-house. Yes, the $17.00 breakfast sandwhich is WELL worth it! Friendly management and staff, great location, awsome food.

9/17/25 update. Had to drop my rating to 2 stars. Stopped in today for lunch. Order the BLT to go. 3 (chewy) slices of bacon for a $14 sandwich is unacceptable. This is a tomato sandwich NOT a BLT. Waited to visit several times before writing a review and luckily it has been consistently very good. This will be for the cafe more so than the market side of things. The baked goods, the prepared foods and the coffee are all very good here. The prepared foods are expertly prepared with high quality, fresh ingredients and that is why things take a little longer to come out of the kitchen. The coffee is great and everything I have tried from the bakery has been top notch. Although prices are on the high side, I feel they are mostly justified based on the quality in not only the ingredients but the preparation. Great addition to our little town.

The Stockton Market was a topic of conversation at many dinners . Often when I’d pass by but it was always closed . So finally on a beautiful sunny Sunday I made it inside. My initial reaction was how very clean and neat it was. The clientele looked upmarket, similar to those you’d see at Black Shed . Kinda midtown East, Hamptons sorts and artistic folk. I sampled only some tastings of appetizers, and the carrot cake .. all tasted as good as they looked.. finally! I’m often disappointed by enticing looking dishes that tasted bland .. so far (luckily) this wasn’t the case. I will be back to try more treats . So if you like to cook, or at least enjoy eating.. I’d say go try it ! Just watch their schedule so you don’t waste a trip! Go try it!

The food is so yummy here. We recently had the fried chicken thigh sandwich. It was perfect for two people. Very crunchy, the roll was fresh, and the toppings were very tasty. We also had the watermelon lemonade, which was really good, not too sweet. We come here often. The only downside is, if you have back problems, the chairs can be a little uncomfortable. But really great place to come for breakfast or lunch. They also now serve dinner on some days.

Yelp
Picking up some carafes of coffee & 2 salads for an event today. The salads were beautiful and they had a floral garnish! Very colorful , fresh and very delicious! Very kind staff making things super easy for me today! Besides, putting in the order, just the pick up was super easy and breezy. The shop is so open and so tidy and has so many wonderful offerings. They have a little gift shop too with passwords of menus and beautiful candles, and incredibly different and printed plates.

Yelp
this place has an amazing variety of menu items, sweets, take-home dinners, and products to stock up (candy, jams, kitchen tools, etc.). my only caveat is cleanliness: the floors and tables could have been a little more tidy. the fast-casual style here is totally fine. service was good.

Yelp
Very cute on the inside. Updated. Modern. Clean. Options are plenty. Something for everyone. My friend picked up a coffee, chocolate croissant, and a tahini fig cookie. The latter was TO DIE FOR! So buttery and delicious!! Although the place was a little pricey and the staff wasn't warm or welcoming, I'm coming back for more of that cookie!

Yelp
Pricey but good quality. Great baguettes and focaccia. Killer curried chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. Easily enough for two to share. Perfect for the nouveau bougie crowd.

Yelp
Great spot for locals and visitors. Food and coffee is always high quality. I've had breakfast, lunch, and bakery goods, and have been impressed and happy every time.

Yelp
A very meh kinda place unfortunately. The coffee bar is highly overpriced and the staff behind it and not the kindest nor the most knowledgeable and quick to judge an order . The bakery assortment is filled with overpriced overcooked pastries that crumble the minute you take a bite and the croissants are way greasy . Cheese and charcuterie and a very expensive . The market side feels very touristy and the displays are a bit dated and quite honestly the entire place doesn't feel like a market but more of a place for non locals to drop $$$ I Wish I could be more positive but honestly this market used to be so great and now it just feels like a cash grab from the new owners with zero care about the local food landscape .
