"Taste Colorado in a glass: 11 of the 13 beers at Stodgy Brewing Co., including a caramelly Belgian Quad and a Mexican Lager, are made entirely from regional malts and hops. When renovating the former fireplace- and stove-repair business, the owners repurposed soapstone stove parts for the tile floors. The bar is made from the remains of black walnut trees that were found on the property." - Travel + Leisure Editors

We went to Stodgy for the first time this weekend and loved it! They had a great food truck, and we tried a few different beers. The outdoor area is so lovely for groups, for dogs, playing cards, you name it, and we even got to experience some fun live music! We will be back!

Wanted to love it but meh. Lady with long hair behind bar today was not friendly. It is a brewery and the beer was good (yay!) but wish places would have at least 1-2 wine or other options. Cute outdoor area.

This place has it all! Nice selection of beverages, even non-alcoholic ones like fresh brewed root beer. Friendly staff, great ambience! It's all down to earth, even casual feeling, like being in someone's yard or a park. Interior is cozy, well lit, and the music is not too loud. Also dog friendly, food trucks, and wifi for working!

Google
Great beer. Good food truck. Staff were really friendly. The vibe of the place is awesome. I highly recommend.

Google
This is a quiet shady space that our dogs loved! We spent a couple of hours enjoying street tacos from the food truck with great beer! We will definitely come back next time we find ourselves in Fort Collins. We camped in the Koa Holiday and Stodgy is very close and easy to get to! Excellent variety of beer!

Great place to visit if you're in Fort Collins. We stopped by, and we're able to get a quick walk thru of the place as well as order a beer sampler in order to try several beers before ordering. This is a great little micro brewery, with a lot of character. There is inside and outside seating. Several beers are on tap to try and indulge yourself in (just remember to drink responsibly), and they have non-alcoholic beer. My favorite beer was the Wheat. It has a nice flavor for me. Finally, if you are a root beer person. They have their own root beer made on premises. It is quite good and will measure up against the best of them (which is Dad's originallyout of Chicago in 1937, now headquartered in Jasper, Indiana). I hope if you're reading this you've decided to pay Stodgy's a visit. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I also hope your experience is as good as mine has been.

Google
The vibe/aesthetic of this place is unlike any other brewery in Fort Collins and I found it to be one of the best. The beer was good but I did love the house made root beer. All together I loved it and can't wait to go back. The bartenders were really nice and I appreciate the later hours here compared to so many other places in town.

Google
The beer I have tried is yummy but a few people I know do not like it - I would go for the darker options. The inside is small but cozy. Outside seating is where to be so better to go in warmer months. Fun to go on a bike ride and stop here. Small parking lot so carpool. They have a food truck and snacks - recommend bringing own food if posting up here for the afternoon.

Yelp
I'm a Brewery fan for sure. This one surprised me. I have been there one and a half years ago in this very new spot in Fort Collins. We know 60 percent of brewing fail with in the first year ( esp in Los Angeles or Chicago). But here this one may arguable be the most growing brewery in Fort Collins. Food truck is in the parking lot & beer is great. But I don't like IPA , so there is not a lot of options unless you like Buds's taste. Bartenders are just typical Coloradans (Mountain culture ). I like the ambiance, open space & pretty local peeps hang out spot. They closed early though. Forrest setting with logs and dog friendly. Local folks mingling spot if you wanna see what is mountains men & women or whatever genders would be !

Yelp
Stodgy Brewing is one of the newer craft breweries that have opened up in Fort Collins since I was last here to visit. Love the location here as it's close to the City Park area of town. One of my favorite parts of Fort Collins with many happy memories there. And I am happy to say that my experience at Stodgy just added to the positive memories of the area. I got one of my favorite lagers... especially for this time of year(Summer) the Mexican Lager from this brewery and enjoyed the light and smoky features to the beer. Then I did a shift and decided to try their gourmet root beer that was also made here and I really enjoyed that too. The creamy, vanilla features made this root beer a real charm! Wonderful outdoor seating area so if you are here when the weather is nice I definitely recommend taking advantage of that!

Yelp
Had many recommendations to come here. Finally made it. I tried the Porter and my husband had the West Coast IPA. We shared a Dunkel. Delicious! It was Saturday so the inside was quite crowded. The outside has plenty of seating. I bet this is an amazing space in the summer! We will surely be back!

Yelp
Why did it take me so long to get here? Fabulous HUGE patio. Fantastic craft beers. The Scottish Ale just won an award amongst 500+ entries! This place was built from passion from the ground up. The owners are committed to the craft and the community and the quality is superb. Excellent Lagers and the Barrel Aged Barley Wine was a taste sensation! I can't wait to come back with extended family and friends when they visit Fort Collins! This is what craft is all about out!

Yelp
They have a really nice shaded outdoor area, and you can bring your dog. The beer was nice on a hot day. When we were there, there was a food truck, and we got jalapeño corn fritters. Also saw that they hold events during the week like Board Game Night.

Amanda R.

Yelp
This Place! So Good! We hit all the breweries in town, including the corporate ones, but this was by far the beer, best atmosphere. If we would have come here first, we wouldn't have went anywhere else!

Dan C.

Yelp
Great beer and amazing space! We came here after it was recommended by a friend. It was a Thursday afternoon and we came around lunchtime. The space is awesome, with a little bit of private parking a plenty of neighborhood street parking. The staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered a flight to try a few different styles. The Helles and Vienna were good, but the pale ale and the hazy IPA were very good. The pale ale is a hoppy treat, with a clean finish and light sweetness that makes it extremely crushable and fun to drink...I'll be back for that beer alone. Most of the seating is outside, but the inside taproom is well decorated and comfortable. The neighborhood vibe here is maybe the best part. Nestled in this established area with many long-term residents will keep the place fun and appealing. I'll be back!

Yelp
Stodgy Brewing is a great little brewery in Fort Collins off of Laporte and Taft. All of their beers are unique and tasty. In my opinion, the real star of the show is their outdoor area. The front patio is super cute with rustic mountain town vibes. If you're looking to grab a beer with friends and enjoy a fun atmosphere, check out Stodgy!

Yelp
It feels silly calling Stodgy the quintessential Fort Collins brewery, because aren't they all? But it really is wholesomely FoCo. I arrived by bike...and so did everyone else apparently. It took some finagling to find a place to lock up our two-wheeled steeds, but eventually we found a spot. I hope they consider putting in some additional bike parking eventually. Nevertheless, once parked, we found a great little spot on the lawn. We sipped our beers while perched on some tree stumps as the sun set behind the foothills, which were visible from where we sat and lovely as always. I'm pretty sure I got the Table Saison, but this was our third brewery of the day so forgive me if the exact details are a little fuzzy. What I definitely remember is that this is a cool place that attracts cool people. I'll definitely be back for a flight or another pint very soon.

Yelp
Overpriced, mediocre beer, and the owner treats customers like dirt. We were all really excited to have a brewery in the neighborhood. Too bad it was this place :\

Sam C.

Yelp
This is a great place to have a beer or two and chat with friends and family. The welcoming atmosphere was great and the customer service was superb. We adored the outdoor seating and the multiple options of beers they offered. Especially the $5 pint option! They also have great food truck options and the prices are very reasonable.

Jill P.

Yelp
Having a beer outside at Stodgy's feels like hanging out in a friend's rather than a business. Beers are great and staff is always friendly. Love it!

Jason B.

Yelp
Good beer and an even better setting. The atmosphere of their outside seating during a nice day in summer is tough to beat. I prefer light hazy pale ales and they had a few beers that satisfied my taste buds. Great spot!

Jerry J.

Yelp
Barman treated me badly, refusing to honor a gift card. Never go there again after years of patronage. Forget the seventy-two dollars remaining on the card.

Nate S.

Yelp
Great local brewery and the best food trucks. Must try the pizza and Italian donuts. The outside seating is beautiful with a well maintained garden and plenty of shade provided by tree's. Good beer selection and friendly staff. I'd put Stodgy on the list of must see breweries in Fort Collins.

Karen R.

Yelp
Such a cute little spot! The atmosphere is very nice and the staff is friendly . The drinks are great as well

Yelp
An incredible new brewery in Fort Collins, that has you feeling like you're a part of Davey Crockets world! Great beers with an incredible outdoor atmosphere with tree stumps, distressed wood, and trees all around. It has a huge lawn to relax in with your pups and friends, while savoring the hoppy goodness! A new MUST see!

Roger M.

Yelp
Gemuetlich. Anyone who's spent time in a Bavarian Biergarten knows that a neighborhood brewery is one of the best sources of village friendship, celebration, and community. Stodgy brings real Gemuetlichkeit to Fort Collins. The beer? It's wonderful, well-crafted, and evolving constantly. The staff? Terrific. What you'll most remember, though, is the friendliness and easy warmth of the setting. Huge cottonwoods and lots of lush grass sets the tone for summertime; an airy and sunny beerhall (plenty of games, too) guarantee that colder weather will be cozy and bright; as always, look for owners Tyler and Natalie to innovate and grow the Stodgy experience in the months ahead. Zum Wohl!

Amelia J.

Yelp
Great atmosphere with the best picnic tables and twinkle lights. The vibe is very cozy and hip. Love to come here after work. Beer selection could be a bit better. Overall, love the neighborhood vibe and great staff.

Bruce E.

Yelp
This feels like a Joseph Oregon brewery. Forest setting, logs, cabin, casual, outdoor space and dog friendly. Incredible. Beers are too young, but the Hazy IPA passes the test. A little expensive and lapse on COVID wipedowns. But the bathrooms are unisex , one big room with individual stalls, welcome 2020! Great job.

Liz M.

Yelp
Saw this brewery being built a while ago. It's finally up so we decided to try it out! Drink menu was small but good. Just 10 beers, and food trucks throughout the week but no consistant food or snacks provided through the bar. Today's "food truck" was a table set out front with pastries which looked amazing, though I could have used a snack/dinner that wasn't desert. The great part about stodgys is really just their outside seating, theres tons of it and it is very aesthetic, it's really great they have a large amount of inside seating as well! Glad this business supports local food trucks and companies, will be back lots in the summer!

Chris M.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place, I really did. It's in a beautiful setting with great outdoor seating and homey indoor seating. But the only way I think I would come back is if I could bring my own beer. There were some bright spots, the English Porter was done well however we got a Hazy IPA and rye lager both were underwhelming. Then we got a pale ale, and it was awful, not sure if the beer was skunked or the beer lines were dirty. We mention this to the bartender, and she politely said there was nothing she could do. There was 20 other ways this could've been handled. I get it running a brewery has to be expensive and the cost of making the beer is substantial as is the other costs of running a brewery, maybe taste the beer, offer a substitute, literally any other response. I go out of my way to buy and drink locally, but not Stodgy, sorry

Jack P.

Yelp
Lovely beer and a lovely setting. Great food truck just steps away and they welcome dogs! What's not to like?

Sharnee E.

Yelp
Great beer, friendly service and a cute outdoor area!we stumbled upon this place after dropping out son off at CSU.

Yelp
Excellent, excellent, excellent brewery in Fort Collins! Beer is so good and the environment is so relaxing that you won't want to leave anytime soon. My bf and I had a great time here and we enjoyed our beer a lot! I honestly have never taken an effort to leave a review for any bars or breweries in Fort Collins but this one is worthy evey effort to make sure everyone gives it a try! (Bonus: they strictly follow social distancing rules during pandemic.)

Paul M.

Yelp
Great new brewery for Ft. Collins. Nice friendly atmosphere with a lot of room to spread out. Their pale ale is my favorite but all their beer has been excellent. The owners are very attentive and gracious. There is an earlier review saying the bathroom was unisex with separate stalls. I disagree-there are five separate bathrooms not stalls with a common hand wash counter.

Paige H.

Yelp
Love this new little spot. The wood paneling on the outside is too cool, and they have a lovely industrial vibe inside. Lovely beers on tap as well as some great kombucha tea by the bottle! Friendly staff. Will be coming here again.

G D.

Yelp
Stodgy has a nice selection of varied beers with great atmosphere and friendly people. Shaded outdoor seating makes sipping a good beer what it is supposed to be.

Yelp
This is the first brewery or restaurant I've been in since March in Fort Collins. I went in mid afternoon (less crowded) for a lunch break and had a delicious stout beer. Friendly, caring, and professional. They take COVID-19 seriously and that's the only reason I went in. I sat outside. A good mix of nature, and Laporte was not too distracting traffic wise. I also took home a growler of Gose home and tried that, it's really good as well. Tuba the Golden Retriever is an awesome dog, as are the owners from what I gathered. Pretty neat to have a neighborhood brewery to walk to from my townhome if I choose to. I like the natural atmosphere that blended in with the surrounding trees and wood, cabin like buildings, which were very nice inside.
