The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely and reasonably priced. The whole hotel was spotless. The room was much larger than normal. It had a roll top bath and large step in shower|Unfortunately the room was somewhat tired, and ready for a revamp. |Our rooms were in a cottage in the grounds. My husband found it hard to walk to the hotel and my son had to come from the hotel to push me in a wheelchair. With no lift, I think the staff thought this was a good option. |Would I stay again? Definitely. It was very good value for money, plenty of parking and we were looked after well

Amazing building in beautiful grounds with a fabulous lake. Plenty of free parking and good WiFi ,the restaurant and bar are also a nice place to relax. The menu is ok not a huge selection but does have a good selection. The bar only as two draft beers on offer a IPA and Moretti plus bottles are on offer. The rooms with a garden view are away from the main building but are basic but ok. All the staff are friendly and can’t do enough to ensure you have a great stay.

A beautiful hotel nestled in a quiet part of Slough, surrounded by countryside and a lovely pond in the garden. Competitively priced. It does, unfortunately need a lot of TLC and investment to bring it up to standard. The service was fantastic, with most staff very helpful and attentive. There are plenty of rooms both in the main house, and also garden rooms. The garden rooms were modern and well equipped, albeit much smaller. The issue I had with them was that there's a hospital nearby so the noise from ambulance sirens was very frequent and loud. If you're a light sleeper, this isn't great. I then moved to a room in the main house, very kindly accommodated by the reception staff. The room was huge, with beautiful views over the garden, with the benefit of a bathtub next to the window too. The room was tired. The mattress wasn't that comfortable but evidence of neglect all round. White painted cardboard was used to cover a hole in the ceiling (screwed in), the curtains were torn and the furniture was damaged. I did have a good sleep, however. The food was ok. Breakfast took a while to arrive, but the produce was nice. Dinner was a mixed bag. Quite expensive but good variety. I ordered steak cooked medium rare. It came out well done. When challenged, they said it was fine. I was too hungry to complain, so I ate it anyway. Overall, a lovely property, but in need of significant investment to bring it up to a good standard.

The staff at Stoke place are very attentive and look after all your needs. the rooms are a bit tired but unless your going in looking for issues there isn't a great deal to find wrong. obviously every now and again something will appear that provides discussion but on the whole the hotel is a beautiful place with brilliant staff, the breakfast lady on the 18th October did a fantastic job even with more people in the restaurant and surrounding rooms requiring service absolutely brilliant, we will be back next month.

We couldn’t have wished for a more perfect venue or a more professional, caring team than Stoke Place. From our very first visit right through to the day itself, every single member of staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making our wedding unforgettable.||A huge special mention goes to our wedding coordinator, Tracey, who was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we started planning, she was there every step of the way – patient, organised, and always ready with advice or solutions. She made what could have been a stressful process feel effortless, and on the wedding day itself, she ensured everything ran flawlessly behind the scenes so we could simply relax and enjoy it all.||The master of ceremonies provided by the venue was another brilliant touch – calm, clear, and professional. He made sure our guests always knew where they needed to be and kept the flow of the day seamless from start to finish. The venue staff were a credit to Stoke Place: every visit leading up to the wedding was met with warm smiles and genuine hospitality, and on the day they delivered exceptional service with precision and care. The food was ffantastic, every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. Our guests are still raving about it weeks later, calling it some of the best wedding food they’ve ever had.||Stoke Place truly exceeded every expectation. The combination of stunning surroundings, outstanding service, and such a dedicated team gave us a day that we’ll cherish forever. We can’t thank Tracey and everyone at Stoke Place enough for giving us our perfect wedding day.

We were absolutely over the moon with how our wedding day went at Stoke Place Hotel — it truly was the perfect day from start to finish.||From the very beginning, the team made everything so easy for us. A huge thank you to Tracey, who was incredible throughout the entire planning process — always so helpful, organized, and reassuring. Everything ran seamlessly on the day, and that’s all down to the amazing coordination and care from Tracey and the Stoke Place team.||We’d also like to give a special mention to Patrick, who was outstanding on the day itself. His calm, friendly manner and attention to detail made such a difference and helped everything run perfectly while keeping us relaxed and enjoying every moment.||We honestly couldn’t have wished for a better experience. Stoke Place is a stunning venue with an exceptional team — thank you all for helping us create the most magical and unforgettable wedding day!

This is the second time I've stayed here. The lake is beautiful and one can walk around it and spend time by the lake all day if the weather is good. I stayed in a Junior Suite which is massive and overlooks the Capability Brown lake. Unfortunately, my pictures are too large to post apparently. Now, this place is a bit run down. The furniture is shabby and amenities are basic. Lots of bits and pieces you could pull apart. It would get a serious grilling if it was on Hotel Inspector or 4 In A Bed. However, I wasn't fussed. I know the place and have always loved the house and grounds. It is nice and private too. I've given it a 4 rating, which is a bit too generous considering the hotels I've stayed at in Asia. I played in the grounds of this Manor since a boy so I have a soft spot for it. The staff are helpful, friendly and not in your face. They'll upgrade you too if you ask nicely. My gigantic room was £129 and I booked direct. I had the same room last time and paid £80 & was upgraded. It's a lovely house and grounds with friendly, discrete staff.
