It is with regret that we find ourselves needing to address this issue in this manner. We received an order from Stokker Hotel for 8 chandeliers, with the goods valued at $600. We took on the shipping costs and dispatched the goods promptly. However, when the goods arrived at customs and clearance was required, the buyer suddenly ceased communication with us. We later managed to contact the buyer via WhatsApp, who expressed reluctance to clear the goods due to the required taxes. Despite our offer to shoulder half of the customs duties, the buyer once again stopped responding to our messages. After the goods were destroyed by customs, the buyer managed to secure a full refund through a platform dispute. We are unable to comprehend the buyer’s approach to resolving this issue, especially given our willingness to bear half of the customs duties. The buyer’s refusal to communicate has left us perplexed. We believe that business integrity is of utmost importance, and it appears that as a hotel, you have not given this the consideration it deserves. Furthermore, your lack of responsibility is evident in your unwillingness to pay taxes or negotiate a resolution, instead choosing to evade the issue.
