Stone City Treehouse

We stayed at the Treehouse for 2 nights on our 34th anniversary in September. I admit, we didn’t know what to expect with some of the “missing” amenities, but it all turned out to be wonderful and relaxing. We were greeted with a gift basket, left in the kitchen. We sat by the fire, used the hot tub, did some hiking! Ate at 2 local restaurants that were recommended on the Stone City website. We also went to the great corn maze, nearby! Before checking out, we ran into the host, Heather and her golden retriever! Both were friendly! Heather was wonderful & helpful to speak with before and after our visit! Very patient answering all of our questions! Would highly recommend staying here!

I only went to the sauna but it was a wonderful experience! I look forward to going back when the snow is gone. The best part is the sauna gets really hot which as a frequent sauna goer isn’t always the case.

We had an absolutely wonderful time in the treehouse. No cell phone service or TV, a relaxing stream and no stress was just what we needed. The cabin is well furnished, checking was easy and the bonus shower rounded out an excellent stay.

This is an absolutely extraordinary and unique place, where every detail is crafted with love, care, and a wonderful sense of style. You simply cannot miss the wood-burning sauna. After experiencing it, you’ll feel like you’ve been given a new lease on life! This is an excellent spot for rest and overnight stays for cyclists journeying along the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail.

Such wonderful and kind hosts — truly the nicest people you could meet! The house feels like a fairytale dream come true, a cozy treehouse in the forest filled with warmth and magic. We didn’t want to leave and return to city life — it felt like a little escape from reality. 🌿✨

Such a magical experience — words can hardly do it justice. From the sound of the creek flowing through the pine forest just across from the treehouse, to the outdoor bed draped with a canopy and fairy lights, to the patio overlooking this enchanting forest scene — every detail transports you to a place you may not have felt in a long time. It’s the perfect spot for romance and a true tech detox. Even in August, Vermont nights are cool, so we stayed cozy while enjoying the forest breeze and nature’s soundtrack. This “return to earth” retreat is ideal for those who crave the peace of camping but still appreciate the comforts of a forest cabin. Our host was absolutely wonderful — warm, thoughtful, and welcoming — greeting us with a basket of treats and fresh flowers. We can’t wait to come back for a longer stay next time!

We spent two nights in the Pebble Tent with our 7yo and 9yo. It is such a magical place for kids to spend some time outdoors. We were so happy to "camp" without having to pitch a tent ourselves, and without another family in sight. It felt secluded and rustic - but still VERY comfortable with all the amenities we could need (plus some!). The fancy shower was especially appreciated. Highly recommend this place.
