Lovely B+B. Perfect host, very friendly, attentive and informative. Nutmeg the dog was an absolute angel and friendly, especially when she wanted a belly rub. Room was lovely, airy and clean. Great bathroom with a wet room shower and roll top bath. Good parking. Great selection for breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble!

Just back from the most wonderful weekend with friends in the Sherborne area where we used Stoneleigh Barn as our base with easy access to the town without the noise of being in it. We were met and made to feel most welcome by Rupert and the legend that is, according to Trip Advisor, Nutmeg. The Red Room was spacious, warm and, most importantly, the bed was really comfortable. Whilst there was noise from the road during the day, this is expected from a rural farming area, it was super quiet at night. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, tasty coffee, and a hearty cooked offering of choice. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 2 nights, one before my wedding with my bridesmaids and the 2nd night with my husband. |We had the most fantastic time, the hosts were amazing and so accommodating, nothing was too much. The rooms are beautiful! The breakfast was also fantastic. We also could not forget Nutmeg the dog! We would definitely recommend this place.

A welcoming and characterful B&B close to Sherborne. Rupert is a brilliant host, so helpful and friendly, found us a restaurant for dinner and booked it for us, even gave us some ice for my partner's sprained ankle. The little dog Nutmeg is also an adorable host, escorting and entertaining visitors. Good variety of food for breakfast with a great view of the garden. Comfortable and warm room with a spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated bathroom. Would definitely recommend for a stay in the local area.

We just loved this characterful B&B and the lovely welcome from Nutmeg and Rupert! The best test of any hospitality establishment is would you return and/or recommend it? In this case it's a definitive 'yes'. Our room was spotlessly clean and very convenient on the ground floor. Rupert kindly offered to book us a table at one of his recommended restaurants and we selected the Plume of Feathers, conveniently situated opposite the stunningly floodlit Abbey. It's only about the minutes from Stoneleigh and great Italian Tapas dishes are served. Breakfast offered many choices and a comprehensive menu of à la carte egg dishes will satisfy anyone. One tip is to read the specific directions once you receive your confirmed reservation as the entrance can be awkward if you approach from the wrong direction! A really lovely B&B with great hosts and a gorgeous, friendly dog - Nutmeg! We hope to have another excuse to visit the Sherborne area again soon so we can return to Stoneleigh.

What can I say other than what a beautiful place this is. The service was superb, Rupert and Camilla are without doubt the nicest hosts you could ever wish to meet and Nutmeg the little dog is just adorable.|We only stayed one night as we were doing a karting event but have already decided that we will visit again in the future!|Rupert welcomed us on arrival, took our bags to our room and gave us a little tour of the B and B, our room had been heated so it was toasty on arrival and Rupert provided us with a flask of fresh milk for our coffee rather than the UHT milk which is norm for other properties.|We were eating out and Rupert kindly booked a table for us at the local pub and even gave us directions on how to get there….very kind.|Room was spotless, beautifully decorated with nice comfortable furniture and a really comfortable bed, we slept like logs!|Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous, plenty of choice, great quality ingredients and cooked to perfection, hosts were extremely attentive ensuring we had enough to eat and drink.|All in all our stay was fantastic, thank you so much Rupert and Camilla and of course Nutmeg too! We’ll be back again! Wayne & Jo.

This is a wonderful place to stay near Sherborne. I stayed a night there and couldn't have asked for more from a B and B. Rupert and Camilla (and Nutmeg the dog) were charming, friendly and attentive to all my needs. The room was extremely comfortable and clean and the whole house peaceful and quiet. The garden deserves special mention; it has a beautiful expansive lawn which is lovely to look out over during breakfast. And the food was superb. I had the scrambled eggs with salmon which was perfect; not too heavy as cooked breakfasts can sometimes be. All in all a great experience - I can't recommend highly enough.

Wonderful stay for two nights. Have stayed here before and standards are high. Great hosts - welcoming, friendly and informative. Delicious breakfast to keep you going all day and a spacious and comfortable room; we stayed in the Red Room this time but have also stayed in the Blue Room which is a lovely room too. Rupert provides real milk for hot drinks in your room (better than long life milk portions usually provided) and can recommend places nearby to eat or places of interest to visit. Nutmeg the terrier will keep an eye on you. Overall a great place to stay, we hope to be back soon.
