Stora Hotellet i Fjällbacka

Super nice hotel lobby and restaurant. The breakfast was outstanding, including good bread and waffles. The hotel feels cosy, not too big. The sauna area is super nice and was very quiet (we visited during weekdays).

A quiet and charming old hotel located close to the harbour in Fjällbacka. We had a nice room with a balcony and a view of the harbour. A perfect place to have a drink before dinner. The hotel was very clean and tidy, and the staff were very nice and helpful. In the evening we had a very good dinner in the hotel’s restaurant Mamsell. They have an extensive wine list, and we got a good recommendation from our waiter.

Our most expensive (3600 SEK/night) but also our worst stay on our west coast tour. Waited 15 min to check in. Only public parking so a walk with bags to the hotel, but great location. We knew our room was going to be small, but it also felt very sad and dated. View of the ventilation system so not able to have window open. Quite large and more modern bathroom though. Interior in the rest of the hotel was nice. Breakfast was very small, not even a toaster, several people complaining. Breakfast area very felt temporary, not as a very nice restaurant (as it is in the evening). Would not stay again!

This is the place to stay to experience what the swedes can give of scandinavian hospitality and standard! Though our stay was so-far from top season it was just great to stay at the Stora Hotellet Bryggan. The room - Bombay - was decorated in fun indian style! The breakfast was just great - and the Stora Hotellet Bryggan is one of the few that gives the guest chocolate milk as a part of the breakfast buffet! I have travelled around the world but this hotel is one of the greatest of all!!

Great hotel with individually decorated rooms. Fantastic food in Mamsell restaurant and large assortment of wines and beers to chose from. Nice staff and good service. The breakfast was the drawback, had to ask for replenishment - this is not OK. Difficult to find parking in the small town of Fjällbacka.

I want to thank you for a wonderful stay at Stora Hotellet i Fjällbacka. So special rooms each and everyone, We were completely satisfied with the food and with all the service around. I think everyone is eager to come back and we feel prepared to really, with our own experience, recommend Stora Hotellet as a conference venue. Highly recommended to engage a local Fjällbacka guide (1,5 hour) to get a walk through the cozy village. A good break which added value to our stay.

Fantastic and service minded staff both in hotel and the different restaurants. The hotel rooms are all individual decorated and has a separate theme as the rest of the hotel and their restaurants. This hotel has something for everybody. There is a lounge area just before the hotel entrance, where you can have a drink or something something small to snack on. Then there is the top notch fine dining “Mamsell” we recommend to eat dinner here at least one time. Then there you have Grano more cozy with stone-oven backed pizza. Then they have there newly launched restaurant Asado with texmex inspired meny a must to visit and sit outside, both the environment and the food is great! If you get the chance Fjällbacka Stora Hotellet is a must to visit!!! We will definitely come back soon!

Very good location and friendly staff. That’s were the advantages end. The decor does not feel cozy or comfortable to spend time indoor. We stayed in a ground floor double room. Even though it was beginning of August it always felt dark and a bit moist inside. Definitely not the top standard and a low value for the money spent. Breakfast was average.
