Store Street Espresso

Loved this little cafe, it’s not your standard Scandi minimalist coffee bar but totally has its own character—the coffee is good and various food items are excellent. The art is weird and wonky but it just adds to the ambiance and there is a surprising amount of indoor space Next time I want to try the kimchi grilled cheese but I just can’t do that for breakfast, the granola also looked very good but I ended up going for a coffee and a cookie to go

This is, without a doubt, the number one coffee shop in London for me. I always feel incredibly happy to be here. Ana’s positive energy and genuineness make a huge difference compared to any other coffee shop in London. I arrived late today after tennis, and although she told me they close at 4, she kindly let me relax without rushing, encouraging me to enjoy my time while she cleaned the entire place after closing. Very considerate, truly kind, and pretty cool. I’ve never encountered such wonderful qualities in anyone working at a coffee shop in London. While I was there, I heard at least three customers mention that Ana had made their day—all in a short period of time. And the drinks are great too! Please visit the shop—you’ll feel it for yourself. I would feel blessed if I am the boss of this store by having Ana here. Highly recommended, and thank you for the tea, Ana!

Great place to study and catch up on work or with friends! There’s a lower level, so there are more seats if it seems like the cafe is too crowded. The food is priced decently, but has very cool food options like the buns.

Not really sure what happened to this place. I've been a frequent customer of Store Street Espresso over the last few years, and today (Thursday 30/10) was probably the last time I visit this branch. The cakes were always the highlight for me and they have yet to disappoint. I had a wonderful espresso cookie and it was the highlight of my day. I also had an avocado toast which was terrible. There was no seasoning, and the avocado somehow tasted watery. I've never experienced this in my entire life. Lasty, the service and the atmosphere was, to put it politely, uncomfortable. The young lady was very nice, but I can't say the same about the other guy. I always try to be pleasant and I usually receive an almost I'm-doing-you-a-favor face. Today was more unwelcoming than usual. He served me and I could smell the cigarette breath after he left. The place was busy at the time of my visit so I guess people aren't that bothered. I will probably only visit the other sites. Honestly, if it wasn't for that cookie, I'd leave a lower score.

Amazing batch brew with just the right level of acidity for my taste. And the hojicha is obviously the most authentic one I’ve had in london 💘 spaces to sit and work but can get busy. I also tried the banana bread which was also very tasty.

Cutely decorated cafe near university campuses so it is a great place to catch up with friends and also do work! They play music but not at a noisy annoying volume. The scrambled eggs were the best I’ve had so far in London. The portion was really big, so maybe there’s actually not much need for the extra avocado. And of course a classic oat flat white can never go wrong. The baked goods looked really tasty as well!

One of the best places for coffee in London. Consistently great tasting coffee, friendly staff each time I have been and good selection of very nice cakes/small food dishes. UPDATE: Oct '24 - still great coffee their cupping/quality control must be good!

Has been serving trustworthy coffee for years. Also has a good bakery range, and a small menu of kitchen-made dishes like avocado on toast. Good number of tables and not often uncomfortably rammed.
