Stories Boutique Hotel is an excellent choice in Budapest. The hotel is perfectly located right in the city center, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The service was outstanding — warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. The hotel itself is beautiful, stylish, and truly unique, with a special character that stands out. The room we stayed in as a couple was spacious, elegantly designed, and spotlessly clean. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, design, and a great central location.

One of the best hotels we've ever been to. Design is beautiful, modern yet classic, the urban jungle feel is incredible and the highly rated retaurant inside gives a constant lively feeling. The restaurant can get pretty loud, however the sound insulation in the room was exceptional and we could barely hear anything. surrounded by countless restaurants and located roughly a 15 min walk from all the main attractions. Everything felt like new and the rooms were spotless. The only complaint we have are the windows which open only slightly and don't allow much air in. Besides that the stay was perfect.

Stories Hotel is visually stunning. The exterior, lobby, and courtyard are all beautiful, and those little touches - like the flowers on the windowsill - make it feel charming and thoughtfully designed. The concierge was absolutely lovely: super helpful, warm, and genuinely kind. The space was clean, well-kept, and the overall vibe of the property feels cool and creative.||That said, the room itself didn’t quite live up to the photos online. It’s not that the images are fake or heavily edited, but they definitely have that filtered glow - everything looks a little richer and more luxurious than it feels in person. Still, cute overall.||The biggest issues were the noise and the bathroom. The hotel is right in the thick of everything - amazing for location, not so great for sleeping. I live in Manhattan, and even for me, it was loud enough that I couldn’t fall asleep until about 4 a.m. ||And then… the bathroom. Unfortunately, it had a pretty strong sewage smell. From other reviews, it seems this isn’t a one-off issue - likely old plumbing. There’s a fragrance diffuser under the sink (nice idea in theory), but it didn’t help at all.||If I had to break it down:||Service: 5 stars|Room: 4 stars|Noise: 2 stars|Bathroom smell: 1 star||All in all, that averages out to about a three. Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff - just not the most restful or fresh-scented stay. Or at least avoid room 201.

We have been to the hotel about 4 years ago, and have had a great experience, which encouraged us to book our stay there again this time. Unfortunately out experience this time around was the complete opposite. We arrived late on Wednesday night, and were welcome by a lovely reception worker. He accompanied us to the room and made sure we had all we needed. We were amazed to see that the sofa bed in the room is very low (unlike the sofa bed we had our previous stay) which is unfiting for adults to sleep at. But the worst part was the horrible sewage smell in the bathroom that spread through the room. We notified the receptionist, and he sprayed some scented spray and promised it would be taken care of the next day. The next morning we went out, reminding the reception to take care of it. Unfortunately we were amazed to find out when we came back that the horrible smell was still there. We came to the reception again, and were told that nothing can be done and that there are no available rooms, but the next day we will be transferred to another room. The next morning we were told we have to evacuate the room by 11 but that we will get another room only after 15. Needles to say that inconvenience was immense. We evacuated the room and went out. When we got back we were given a smaller room. We have asked for a compensation for the 2 nights we have stayed in the room with the smell, but all we were offered was a taxi back to the airport on the hotels expense. The compensation is obviously not even close to enough considering the inconvenience caused to us by sleeping 2 nights in such a room and being forced to pack ourselves and transfer. This is not the experience we were looking for when we booked the hotel, which was definitely not cheep, and not the service we would expect from a respectable hotel like yours. We were very disappointed by the whole experience, especially by the way it was taken care of.

Can’t praise highly enough. Our room was upgraded prior to arrival to a Queen Deluxe room overlooking the spectacular courtyard restaurant, 26°, two floors below but we were warned there may be noise from the restaurant diners as a result. We heard nothing that bothered us during our stay. The Concierge/Reception team were fabulous & went over and above, providing top tips on sightseeing/dining recommendations. Special shout out to Ganang & Haya. You were just wonderful. Stories is a gorgeous, independent hotel, centrally located in the Pest sides of the city for easy walking/sightseeing. Our bedroom was large & comfortable. The restaurant was gorgeous & the food was great. Not forgetting our free cocktail (or 2) on arrival & chocolates on departure! What’s not to love?! HIGHLY recommended!

This hotel is slap bang in the middle of where you’d want to be staying. Central enough to walk down to the river but also be around the bars and restaurants that you’re most likely going to want to visit. The staff are extremely helpful - we needed a travel cot which was provided with extra towels and bedding. And we also left our bags with them before check in as we were early - on return to the hotel they’d already put them in the room. They were more than accommodating for us. When we checked in they were also offering complimentary massages outside our rooms which were great! We had a delux room and there was plenty of space over two floors. The shower was powerful, bed was comfy, minibar was a lovely touch. It’s not the most “silent / soundproof” hotel but it wasn’t anything that kept you awake and is to be expected when staying so central. Would 100% recommend and would stay again.

A modern hotel set with a magnificient vertical garden set in a restaurant courtyard provides tranqulity. The rooms that overlook the courtyard are from the 2nd floor and soundproof with double entry doors so the noise is minimise. The hotel staff are outstanding and there are special treats as you enter the hoel lobby.

It’s rare that a hotel exceeds expectations, but this one really did. We loved the furnishings, the sheer size of the rooms (we had a duplex) and the service. You can pop down to reception for a coffee, and sometimes a cheeky drink with the lovely staff. The breakfast was also amazing, with friendly and helpful staff. It’s also located in an amazing place with amenities on your doorstep. ||I hope people still read reviews on here, we really liked this place.
