Yelp
SNI is centrally located and provides a clean, quiet stay in the equally so town of Smithers. The rooms and breakfast area are squeaky-clean, and everything works well, especially the eggs made-to-order at breakfast, and their generous accompaniments. Cable and WiFi worked well; the former provided a good variety of channels. Staff are friendly and the midnite curfew, when they effectively lock up the place, is not a problem. The owner knew the area well, and gave me some good tips about local sporting activities; Francois and Ootsa Lakes are nearby and traveling the FSR to, from, and around them is a delight. The only suggestion I have for SNI is to improve the layout and accessibility; to reach the rooms on the second floor, one must go to the end of the hallway opposite the office on the first floor, carry your luggage upstairs (there's no elevator), and then backtrack to wherever your room is on the second, which may well be right above the office. Other than that, I'll gladly return to both it and Smithers, and spend even more time in the beautiful Bulkley Valley.
