My boyfriend and I ventured north from NYC specifically to visit Storm King Art Center during one of its winter weekends and chose the Storm King Lodge for its proximity. We lucked out and had the entire place to ourselves, making great use of the beautiful fireplace in the great room. We stayed in the Lavender Room which also had its own fireplace and was very comfortable and equipped we everything we needed. Hal is an absolute gem and one of those people you feel like you've known for years within minutes of meeting him. He made great restaurant recommendations and delicious breakfasts, including gluten free blueberry pancakes. We loved our cozy winter weekend stay and plan to come back again to experience the lodge in a warmer season.

I travelled with 3 friends to visit storm king arts center and other attractions in the area in October and spent 2 nights at this fabulous B&B. The owner - Hal - welcomed us like we were family and was a great resource for things to do in the area. The breakfast -which was included was fabulous - all homemade - not your ordinary breakfast. Each morning was something different. It was a great time to talk to Hal and get to meet other guests too. The common room has a beautiful fireplace and plenty of wood to keep it going. We had a wonderful time and will definitely go back.

My family very much enjoyed our stay at Storm King Lodge. The lodge is comfortable and beautiful: the rooms are in and under the loft of a converted barn, and the body of the barn is a wonderfully comfortable open area with a large dining table, sofa and chairs, a small kitchen, and access to a lovely covered stone veranda. A refrigerator is available for guests, prestocked with convenience items, but perfect for stashing snacks or groceries if taking over the place for a family gathering. It struck us as a perfect location to get two families together because each can have their own room(s) and spend time together in the ample communal space, both indoors and out. The location is fabulous, very close to Storm King and only a few minutes from several towns with restaurants and other interesting haunts. The innkeepers are friendly and very helpful. We fully intend to come back!

❤️❤️❤️❤️|Hello, My husband and I just had the pleasure of meeting Hal the Innkeeper for The Storm King Lodge this weekend. Hal made us feel welcome when entering his lodge, he told us a little about himself and the history of the lodge. The lodge is full of personal and unusual items that I enjoyed listening to the history of them. The bedroom is warm and inviting with a working woodburning fireplace, the beds were comfortable. In the morning we started our day with a breakfast for a King, including omelets one day and blueberry pancakes the next day. Each day there was fresh fruit, yogurt, granola and coffee was always available. We are looking forward to spending another weekend maybe for fall foliage. I would highly recommend this place it will not disappoint and you will find yourself trying to plan your next trip there.

My partner & I arrived at the Storm King Lodge on a Friday late afternoon. We were there to attend a large family wedding at the SK Art Center the next day. When we entered the main room, we were immediately beguiled. Even before Hal arrived to greet us, we pretty much decided to ditch the rehearsal party in favor of staying in at the Lodge. Hal arrived shortly and our enchantment increased many times over, especially when we discovered Hal´s musical past, which my partner shared. While the wedding the next day was beautiful in all ways, our 2 days at the SK Lodge will remain with us in our imagination far longer. It was highly conducive for musical composition. SK Lodge was by far the best B&B we ever stayed in, across many countries...

My husband Al and I shared a wonderful weekend at the Storm King Lodge. Beautiful setting and wonderful hosts. Our breakfasts were made to order, (gluten free modifications) delicious and served with class and wonderful conversation! Guest fridge is available with a plethora of beverages to help yourself to. A very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Thanks again to our hosts Hal and Gay Janks for a memorable weekend.

I don’t normally write reviews but because of our wonderful stay and I feel compelled to tell audiences how much of a GEM this place is! We stayed one night in the Peach Room, our room was decorated with antique-country style furniture and quilts with an personal touch bonus of surprise chocolate treats waiting for us in our room. Hal, our host, is full of refreshing humor, fascinating life stories and is nothing short of an EXTREMELY GRACIOUS host! If you have time, go on the veranda and enjoy the quiet and beautiful well-maintain green gardens. We saw chipmunks, rabbits, and many different types of birds. Breakfast didn’t disappoint either, Hal served a delicious, and healthy, breakfast spread -- homemade blueberry pancakes, sausage, fresh fruits (pineapple, melon, & strawberries), greek yogurt and granola – with a classy and beautiful table setting. I will definitely be returning to this lodge.

We just spent a wonderful, relaxing weekend up at Storm King Lodge Bed and Breakfast. The location is beautiful (I could spend hours drinking coffee while listening to birds and looking at the view off their back porch) and is extremely convenient to Storm King Arts Center. Hal (the owner/host) was extremely hospitable and went out of his way to make us comfortable. He also makes a delicious breakfast.

Yelp
Worth it. The bed was comfortable and my girlfriend is a picky sleeper. We heard no crazy noises thought the night, woke up to spectacular views. They keep a mini fridge in the common room packed with a few beers and refreshments. When you step into storm King Lodge you immediately feel the slow pace of life at the former barn, spacious exposed beam reception area is also the dining area and reading space The property manager has rich stories of his travel as a professional classical musician Be aware of the damper in the fireplaces before starting a fire .. sorry hal Overall we had a fantastic weekend

Yelp
My two kids and I had a magical time staying here. Clean comfy rooms and a spectacular setting- stunning house and the lovely countryside. Beautiful plants all over. Great pool (part of it in the shade which is great!). Lovely breakfast. Hal is a great host. We would have been happy to be staying here for a whole week! It's literally less than 5 minutes to Storm King Arts Center.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I were looking for a quiet weekend getaways and by sheer luck, we stumbled upon this gem. The property was beautiful and the lodge was warm and quaint with just enough technology to make us two love birds from the suburbs feel like we weren't lost in the woods. The owner hand-cooked breakfast daily, and took the time to recommend a myriad of restaurants for us to try throughout our stay. He accommodated dietary needs without hesitation, and made us feel like it was his genuine pleasure to serve us. Full use of a kitchenette and free beer were a huge plus! If you're even thinking about staying here, you should! Incredible restaurants, cute towns to peruse and sample the coffee and ice-cream, and access to scenic hiking trails galore!

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay at Storm King Lodge. The owner is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Breakfast is great, served in the big converted barn that is part of the main house. The grounds are beautiful--green rolling hills, and very near the Storm King Art Center. The room we stayed in is spacious and homey with access to a full kitchen and living room. We ended up cooking quite a bit and felt right at home. Just outside is the HUGE swimming pool. You can do some serious lap swimming there if you're inclined. It was very quiet, and though it was full when we stayed, there's so much space that you don't run into other guests much unless you want to. We had the pool completely to ourselves a couple of times. So overall a wonderful, warm and relaxing experience. I hope I get to come back again!
