Booked the Sunday Carvery as it kept popping up on my socials.
It certainly didn't disappoint.
You are greeted at the entrance to the ballroom, a gentleman then kindly took us to our table, as this was our first time he explained where each course was located and that someone would be with us shortly to take drink orders.
The spread of food was beautifully executed, especially the starters, this was layed out close to the centre of the room with a whole spread of different foods that would suit many taste buds.
The mains at the far wall was a spread of Turkey, ham and roast beef. And to the left was soup breads and a children's section.
The meats were beautiful and absolutely not dry. I guess my biggest complaint would be that the food was not even close to lukewarm, I understand that to much heat would dry out the food, but I think worth this in mind the gravy should be a lot warmer, this would add heat to the main meal, unfortunately the gravy was barely warm too.
This is just an observation and certainly didn't take away from my experience, but it would of been nice to have hot gravy on lukewarm food.
The desserts were in a different league altogether, a huge amount to choose from. I highly recommend the pavlova though, never have i ever tasted one so good.
Staff were extremely polite and welcoming, very attentive and observing to ensure dirty plates were lifted promptly and drink top ups always available.
A lovely experience, one I would certainly pay for again.
