Story Hotel Malmö - JDV by Hyatt

There are not enough stars to rate this hotel!!!!!! The architecture is beautiful. The setting is perfect and you wake up to the beautiful water on one side and sunrise on the other. The complimentary breakfast is HUGE and it is on the top floor with nearly a 360 view of the beautiful city. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and quiet!! Wow. I regret that I’m only staying 3 days. I wish I could move in!!!!! Pictured is the view we awoke to 😍

After an 8-hour trip on my motorcycle across Denmark, I arrived in Malmö – exhausted, worn out, and simply done. But the moment I stepped into the Story Hotel, all of that was forgotten. The lady at the reception was incredibly charming and empathetic. With just a few words and a great sense of humor, she completely turned my day around. We laughed heartily together, and she took the time to explain everything about the hotel and my room. On top of that, she even gave me some wonderful recommendations for restaurants and the city – exactly what you need after such a journey. My room itself was a dream: stylishly designed, spotless, and with a view that left me speechless. The huge window overlooking the harbor was so captivating that it made the TV in the room completely unnecessary – that view alone was pure entertainment. For me, the Story Hotel Malmö is much more than just accommodation. It was the perfect ending to a long day on the road, a place to arrive, breathe, and feel at home. This experience is one I won’t forget anytime soon. Simply perfect.

I stayed at Story Hotel in February and overall it was great value for money. The location is perfect and the view is simply breathtaking honestly, just staring out the window is enough to make you happy! I arrived a bit earlier than check-in time, and since my room wasn’t ready yet, they upgraded me to a room on the second-to-top floor a very nice surprise. The amenities were decent, and the room was perfect for my two-night stay. Breakfast at Kasai in the Sky was fantastic, with a huge variety of options. As a Greek, I found the juices a bit “mysterious” (you can’t really tell what flavor they are something I’ve noticed in other Scandinavian cities too), but it turned into a funny moment since there were other Greeks at the next table, and we all laughed about it. Overall, I definitely recommend Story Hotel for a comfortable stay in Malmö.

After a second stay, 3 nights and 4 nights, Ive realized its not worth the price of staying here. Note that this is the most expensive hotel in Malmö as of me writing this review. Very small rooms with no where to put your stuff. That also goes for the bathrooms where there are no storage to put your toiletries. Showers are impractical and there will be water all over the floor when taking a shower. Breakfast buffet options are few. Got tired of eating the breafast after the second morning at my second stay. I have to give credit to the extremely polite and nice housekeeping staff though, which made the stay a little bit more enjoyable. Hotel and room were very clean throughout our entire stay. The hard product is just not worth it, meanwhile some of the soft product is really good. Great view though, but not sure if that makes up for the rest.

I stayed one night at Story Hotel. Location is perfect by the seaside and 6-7 min walking distance to the main train station. Staff is very friendly. However, general hotel quality is quite average: rooms are relatively small and don't have so much facilities. Cleanliness is average again. So, I would say that it doesn't worth the value, I find it too expensive.

We had a great 3 night stay here after the noisy madness of Roskilde Festival. Check in was quick and easy and we were upstairs in no time with our socks and shoes off out tired feet. We decided on the ocean view and enjoyed spending time watching the boat and ship movement. It is a very peaceful place, perfect for the relaxation we needed. Breakfast is perfect for my taste. Bread, cheese, meat, fruit, yogurt and eggs. There is a fresh waffle maker for those that require such things. The view from the rooftop breakfast area shows you the entire city and harbour. In the summer the hours are 7-11. Overall a great stay, not budget but we had zero complaints at the price.

Had a wonderful stay at the hotel and would definitely return. Rooms are modern, good value. Breakfast is amazing. Service is outstanding from front desk to cleaners to restaurant. Hotel occupies high floors so you are likely to have a beautiful panoramic view. There are no other tall buildings nearby to block the view. Quick walk to Malmo Central - was very easy to wheel luggage from the train to the room. There is an entrance to the train station tracks on the same street, so no need to enter via the main entrance, which is a short walk away.

Great location - easy walk to train station, restaurants, even Malmo’s beautiful library.||||Slick room decor, huge view of the harbor and lighthouse, roomy bath. ||Housekeeping staff was top notch, friendly and accommodating.||||At check-in staff made an excellent restaurant suggestion with multiple dining choices. All within easy reach. ||||The building that the Hyatt Story is located in is multi purpose. The entrance area has a restaurant, office space, a clever stairway that provides seating. Our personal favorite was the PingPong table available for guest use :)

We spent two nights in Malmo at the Story Hotel Studio. The hotel is very modern and the staff were very accommodating allowing us to place our bags in the hotel while we explored the city. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything we needed. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay with tons of delicious options, such as waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, oats, and gluten-free bread. We loved our stay at Story hotel studio Malmo and can't wait to visit again!

This hotel is part of Hyatt network, is located near the main train station of Malmo, and normally very reasonably priced especially compared to hotels in Copenhagen which is only 30 min train ride away. They provide complimentary breakfast to all guests at the top floor (w/rooftop access) restaurant. You get to enjoy nice city views when the weather is nice. Everything is within 10-15 min walk, so the location is very convenient.

Our stay in story Hotel studio was wonderful. We arrived a little too early for a room to be ready, but they were super kind and kept her bag safe while we explored the city . when we came back at 3 PM, Our room was ready and it was very modern clean and comfortable. The best part of the hotel was a wonderful breakfast at the rooftop with which offered a lot of delicious options and Swedish delicacies . All the staff was wonderful and extremely kind. I cannot recommend this Hotel enough.

Malmö is a small city with many streets covered with cobble stone and cute architecture right out of a fairy tale. In this fairy tale the Story hotel in Malmö fits perfectly. We are staying here for three nights and our vacation is not over but I needed to write about this special hotel now. It's just so unique and well thought out that I hope they expand to many other cities around the world. This is a fairly new hotel and really should be the future of hotels. Great customer service from the lobby area. Card less entry with knowing just your code, check in and out can be done electronically. Not only breakfast is part of the deal but different types of water bottles in the room free of charge. Bikes available without paying additional to use: first come first basis deal. Apple TV in your room to Netflix and chill after the sightseeing. Or you can just make your eyes wonder to the amazing view from your room. Ofcourse wifi is included but didn't need to use it yet. Charging areas for phone in room and don't need to use international converters like other hotels. The list can go on but I know you get my point how amazing this hotel is. So far I'm loving Malmö, Sweden but a huge part of that is because of this hotel.~

Awesome hotel, spacious rooms and nice ambience. Only drawback to my room on the 500 wing is very little counter space in the bathroom. Very clean and staff are kind. Clean and fat towels.

What a wonderful and comfortable place to be. Quiet and the view is out of the park amazing. Bed is comfortable and bathroom is awesome. Restaurant on site is a bit fancy for me but salads downstairs if you want it. View from the rooftop terrace is stunning. Highly recommend it. Close to train station and old town. Love it!
