I was throughly surprised by this simple ride! It had some fun little buildings of a lot of stories in the Disney franchise. It’s an actual boat and the balance might seem strange but a great ride for little ones!

Google
Couldn't understand anything what the tour guide was saying on the ride. "to the right... akdjdfjdksszzzbzzz" like an airport announcement After a few minutes, I just stopped looking around and enjoyed the breeze. When the ride ended, the person in front of me rolled her eyes. I don't blame her. Maybe the tour guide can become a life guard and just play an audio tour that we can understand?

If you take a slow rest while taking a boat around, you will get the strength to go around Disneyland again!!

This ride takes you on a boat down a canal with miniature villages and buildings from various Disney stories on either side. Some of the movies featured are Pinocchio, Frozen, and Aladdin. It is a very chill ride with very little wait. It is great for kids or if you are just looking for a relaxing ride to go on.

Google
Everyone always walks past Storybook without giving it a second through. Even if it looks like it has a long line it goes nice and fast. It might be like a kid version of the Jungle Cruise but it’s fun and you get to sit down and relax for 17 minutes. You have to experience it once!

Rog

Google
Lots of fun and takes you back to a more relaxed time. Sit back and enjoy the ride as it takes you through the old school history of Disney stories. Pro Tip - If you have a group of 7 or more ask for your own boat. It’s worth it!

I love this Disney classic ride! The best time to wait in line is when a Disney Parade is going, it makes it fun to wait in line. It always reminds me of my childhood and brings back great Disney memories. I really recommend bringing the little ones on this ride you get to see a lot of the Disney Princess Castles. Plus a big shout out to Prince Eric who drives his princess Ariel’s boat. He was witty and fun to sit on a board, as we sailed thru the kingdoms. Two thumbs up for Eric. If you get in his boat you won’t be disappointed!

A nice relaxing ride where you can see amazing miniature sets from a large number of disney movies.

Yelp
Adorable ride located in Disneyland, across from the teacups. This ride takes you on a journey through all the villages in the Disney realm, from Agrabah, to Arendelle, to Mr Toad's village. The villages and plants are all tiny, and I appreciate every little detail that goes into each part of the ride. The ride is all outdoors, so I probably wouldn't recommend it on a super hot sunny day because it does get HOT. But on the cooler days where you're trying to rest your feet, it definitely is a good option.

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about this ride. It's an absolute classic that has been there since opening therefore it will always have a special place in my heart. It's also a great, calm ride for little kids to enjoy. With that said, it's a short ride. And the line for it is always incredibly long. So you inevitably are going to be waiting 2-3x the amount of ride time just to get on a boat. And, because this ride is geared towards little kids, they're going to get incredibly bored and antsy waiting that long. It's always a struggle with our kids. They want to get on the ride, but halfway through waiting, the 'when are we going to be on?' questions start. I'm honestly not sure what the solution is for this ride. I do like that they space boats out enough that you kinda feel like you're on your own on the ride, but that means they can't keep loading boats. More boats would equal faster turn around but would also give the ride a more crammed feeling to it which I do not think would benefit the ride experience. So, at the end of the day, I'm not sure there is a solution for my issues with the ride. It just is what it is and the builders of the park just didn't anticipate crowds of this size within the park. Because of this, this ride just tends to be a skip for us when we visit. That is unless, of course, we happen to be here early in the day or on a rare time when the line is incredibly short.

Yelp
Storybook Land Canal Boats has been around since Disneyland first opened, and I'm pretty sure I rode it when I was a kid. It's one of the sleepier rides in the park, from a time when you couldn't just look at a phone to access infinite stimulation. We took our boys because there was almost no wait, and we needed to convince our four-year-old to leave the half-hour line for Peter Pan. My husband really sold him on the boat ride, and we had to pretend this was going to be the coolest thing ever. There was a short line, mostly families with small children, though there was one unaccompanied Disney adult grousing out loud, trying to keep the line moving so he could ride his stupid baby ride alone. The boat ride was short and pleasantly boring, except for the beginning, when our four-year-old got quite scared of Monstro. I think part of him believed we were going into an actual whale's mouth, and he only relaxed when I told him it was a just a tunnel. The other storybook scenes--miniature villages and castles along the sides of the boat ride--had less of an impact on the children. I found them of mild interest. My kids' favorite part of Storybook Land Canal Boats was the view of the Casey Jr. Circus Train running over our heads. Both of these rides feel like filler for Disneyland days with small children, but I guess that's not a bad thing when they're too short for the more exciting rides.

Yelp
It was a huge waste of time. It literally wasted time because we got stuck on the ride for 20 minutes. Our Disney cast member was very peppy and sweet, but COME ON! It was already so dull, then we stop for 20 minutes... and after that there were an additional 5-10 minutes of the ride remaining.

Yelp
A classic attraction that is located in Fantasyland. There is usually a smaller wait time for this attraction, so it's easy to take a quick cruise across the many Disneyland storybooks. It can be a little difficult to get in and out, plus it does feel like you might topple overboard. For that reason, I typically skip especially since the attraction doesn't really change over time. Still worth checking out if you haven't before.

Yelp
5 Stars***** Storybook is so beautiful. # 28 Reviews for 2024 # 449 Review All-time Once upon a time in Storybook Land, I embarked on the Canal Boats adventure, drifting through a world of enchanting miniature houses. Each tiny abode, intricately crafted, transported me into beloved tales. But it was the breathtaking miniature Aladdin Palace that stole the show! Its ornate details and magical allure left me spellbound, whisking me away to a whole new world of wonder and imagination. The craftsmanship and dedication to storytelling here are truly exceptional, making it a must-see for anyone seeking the marvels of childhood tales brought to life in miniature splendor. Walt Disney and the Imagineers can transport anyone anywhere with simplicity, and that is the true magic of Disney.

Yelp
Storybook land canal boats is one of Disneyland's original rides. Set up as a boat ride there are only two operating at one time since the attraction is so small. Your guide directs you where to sit. First you are "swallowed up" by Monstro the whale only to come out the other side to see some of the classic and more recent Disney movie minature villages. I'm so glad they have updated this area to help children with what they are more familiar with. You can still see Pinocchio's village, Arendale from Frozen, the city of Agrabah from Aladdin, The beast's castle from Beauty and the Beast and more. It's about a 10 minute boat ride that will charm the kid in you. The narration by your tour guide helps you in understanding the stories behind these scenes. As others noted this ride can get very crowded so it is best to catch it early in the day. Our wait time alone was about 15 minutes and that was before 9 AM. There is no Magic Kingdom counterpart to this ride so it is a thrill to get to ride it here. The ride is classic Disney as only Walt would have imagined it for children. Located in Fantasyland in Disneyland.

Yelp
This ride should be torn down and replaced with something else. It feels so dangerous with how unbalanced the boat can become with really no payoff for the risk. Getting into the boat feels tipsy, you have no belts to keep the large number of people in the boat in place, and they make you all stand up together - our group almost banged our heads when we went to leave. Storybook Land Canal Boats simply consists of boating past poorly kept up minitures, whose lawns are covered in duck feathers, with a guide who sounds bored beyond measure, just going through the motions. The most interesting part of the ride is when the whale spouts water, which isn't timed to the boats and just occurs randomly. It can also be seen from the walkway or other rides. All in all, the honey enjoyed the duck-zillas as he called them, where normal sized ducks were perched in between the minitures or ducklings were floating around the boat. But beyond that, it's a total skip.

Yelp
The Storybook Land Canal Boats is a boat ride within Fantasyland at Disneyland Park. You sail through the mouth of Monstro the Whale from Pinocchio into the different lands of classical Disney movies. This ride is for any height. It is a slow, water ride. The boat can sit approximately 12 people and it takes you on a tour of miniature versions of town, cities, and areas from classic Disney movies. Casey Jr. Train Ride is the same, except it's the train and allows you to view the mini magic above on the train tracks. There is typically a long wait time for this ride, so I try to get on this ride first thing when the park opens, with very little wait time. You'll see the following familiar locales -Frozen -Three Little Pigs -Peter Pan -Pinocchio -Alice in Wonderland -City of Agrabah and the Cave of Wonders from Aladdin -The Little Mermaid -Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs -Cinderella -Lullaby Land -The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr.Toad

Yelp
When I come to Disneyland with other people majority of them think this ride is a snooze fest...but I couldn't disagree more. Who doesn't like to be read to and while in a live action book? It's a ride for the imagination and for you to literally be inside the storyline to multiple stories. Absolutely love the charm and fantasy of this ride. The sights are adorable and literally make you feel like you're inside a fairytale.

Yelp
It was my first time riding this adorable boat ride in Fantasyland! Each boat fits about 10-12 people. You begin by entering Monstro the whales mouth and proceed to have the boat driver explain what each adorable detailed miniature city or town is. There were several themed areas such as Mr Toads house, Cinderella's castle, Aladdin's city and more. Our kids absolutely loved this ride. The wait can be up to 40 minutes so definitely check your Disney app to catch the ride when it's not such a long wait. We will definitely ride it again.

Yelp
Great ride to rest your feet while enjoying all the miniature towns modeled after Disney movies!
google avatar

Yelp
Great overlooked ride at Disney. It features Monstro the Whake! It can get hot since you're in a boat ride in the sun though. Still a great ride.

Yelp
On a recent visit to Disneyland, we enjoyed a private tour of Storybook Land. Early in the morning it was cool in Fantasyland and there was no line, so we hopped right on. The ride is charming and fun, but probably more fun with children. I liked that they've recently updated it to include the Arendelle Castle from Frozen. Other Disney miniatures featured include Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, Mr. Toad, Peter Pan, the Three Little Pigs, Pinnocchio, the Little Mermaid. These miniatures are beautiful and so well crafted! I would never wait in line to ride the Storybook Land Canal Boats, but if it's not busy, give your legs a rest and enjoy a scenic boat ride through Disney's enchanting stories!

Yelp
Such a lovely and beautiful attraction! Storybook Land Canal Boats is located in Fantasyland and is exclusive to the Disneyland park in California. On this attraction, you ride a lovey painted boat that is named after Disney characters. My husband and I rode on Fauna's boat (which is one of the Sleeping Beauty fairies). Other character boats include Bambi, Merryweather and so many others. You have a tour guide on the boat (just like on Jungle Cruise and Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes) that takes you through the rivers where can view miniaturized versions of the characters homes and castles. Some of my favorites include the White Rabbit's home from Alice in Wonderland, the house from Beauty and the Beast and the castle from Aladdin. Each house and castle is gorgeous and beautifully detailed and has a wonderful story behind it too as explained by the tour guide. I love this attraction because it is relaxing and calming and quick tip, you can usually spot a duck swimming past you. Recommend. I adore this ride so much!

Yelp
You're going to be in DIRECT SUNLIGHT. During the wait and on the ride, so just keep this in mind if you're at the park on a super hot summer day. It's a really endearing ride because you sell all the miniatures of all the settings for the Disney movies (Aladdin, Frozen, Sleeping Beauty, Mr. Toad, Peter Pan, the Three Little Pigs, Pinnocchio, the Little Mermaid, etc). All the boats are named after Disney princesses as well. It's actually kind of funny when you see the ducks during this ride, because they're Godzilla sized, so hopefully that doesn't interrupt any of the photos that you want to take. My only issue is that I wished that our captain gave us a bit more time to appreciate each miniature location instead of just telling us a short blurb then zooming us away.
google avatar

Cassandra F.

Yelp
This is one of those rides that is easily overlooked, but is so fun. You get to go through the whale's mouth from Pinocchio and end up in a world of miniatures from all the classic stories. They've even updated a bit from some of the newer ones, like Aladdin and Frozen. Definitely recommend this one if you haven't been on it.

Yelp
I thought I've checked in and wrote a review for this a long time ago I've been on this ride many times. This is the boat ride that goes through the big huge whale's mouth. This ride takes through miniature towns of houses of your favorite characters such as Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Mr Toad, even the three little pigs and more. Really cool to see all the details done to all the miniature sized houses. The cast members tell you a little story of each as you go by. Daytime you can see a lot of detail and at night time you see the prettiness of it as it is lighted. Overall a relaxing ride and great to see how Disney's Magic is put into all the details of the structures and even the layout of the ride.
google avatar

Yelp
So this is the ride that goes into the whale... haha. This is a cute little ride with a little story line and miniature setups. The boat is a little hard to get out of... when it stops, everyone has to stand up at the same time. Tricky with nothing to hold onto, and you cant put your hand on the side of the boat, as it moves and can hit the side and your hand can get crushed. Nice relaxing ride to stop and take a minute to just hang out on a boat. Ive done it once, and thats probably enough for me :)
google avatar

Yelp
I've always walked past this ride because I had little to no interest. The one time I did go on was right before the fireworks were about to start. This ride is textbook if you're looking for the best view of the fireworks without the overcrowding along the main walkway. Every story teller is in a class of their own, Disneyland material. It's a pretty lengthy ride especially seeing how small it looks from the outside. Great place for a date or with your kids. Wait time is fair. There are many boats so you get in pretty fast.

Yelp
This is the ride that has the big whale mouth at the entrance my daughter really enjoyed the ride it brings back memories of when I was a kid this ride is good for little ones this is a must ride for infants and toddlers
google avatar

Omar P.

Yelp
Love this ride. Loads of neat miniature landscapes and theme models. Relaxing and you get a personal tour from a cast member. Casey jr just above so wave to your fellow mousekateers. My special moment is when you go under the rose tree arches where Aladdin went on a magic carpet ride with Jasmine. Line moves ok, but if over 30 mins I would try another time.
google avatar

Tamara P.

Yelp
The storybook land canal boats is a boat ride located in Fantasyland next to the Casey Jr. Circus Train ride at Disneyland. You board motor-driven boats at the loading dock, which take you on a leisurely ride through a winding canal along featured settings from Disney animated films recreated in miniature such as the seaside castle from Little Mermaid and village of Arendelle featuring Elsa's amazing Ice Palace. My daughter has always gotten a kick out of seeing the "giant" ducks that are often perched or floating by the boats. They look immense in comparison to the miniature settings. We are annual passholders, so it's safe to say that we'll be back!
google avatar

Zoe K.

Yelp
I love miniatures. This little boat ride goes way too fast! I want to jump out and play with all the little houses Our tour story teller and guide was VERY Disney, meaning, professional. He -Jose- would NOT break character. He'd answer questions but then go right back to the script. I appreciate that. I know Walt was all about not breaking the magic spell and Jose never did. Beautiful ride, just lovely and relaxing. Get your camera ready
google avatar

Yelp
I was never really a fan of these boats as I thought the attraction/ride was boring when I was younger, but the older I get the most fascinated I was! The Storybook Land Canal Boats have a LONG WAIT, every time I try to ride them. The ride consists of you floating up and down waterways, and viewing a few of your fantasy characters model homes that are VERY small. This is such a cool and calm form of entertainment, but I think younger children will not be as entertained.
google avatar

Cyl C.

Yelp
This is one my favorite rides in Fantasyland. You are taken on a boat ride through the little replica of some of the Disney characters homes. I really love the miniatures and the plant life as you make your way from one house/town to the next. Definitely the one who is guiding your boat down the canals will help make the journey fun and exciting. There is so much attention to detail when they built the palace of Agrabah, Cinderella's village and castle and even the kingdom of Arendelle with Elsa's ice castle in the back. There are ducks that swim by or sleep by the replicas, which definitely makes the scenes a bit comical and puts a real perspective on how small these miniatures are.

Yelp
Storybook Land Canal Boats is an outdoor boat ride. It was one of the original attractions when the park opened on July 17, 1955, although the miniature buildings and landscaping were not added until the following year. We decided to check this out during one of the evenings we were at Disneyland. The line wasn't that long but it definitely felt crammed in the sense that everyone is all up against you. Like all rides in Fantasyland, there are no fastpasses which can be annoying. Once we got to the front of the line, the cast members assisted us into the boat. There are two rows of seats opposite from each other. Once everyone is seated, the cast member drove the boat through a winding canal talking about the places that we pass by. These places are miniature models from Disney movies. They're cute and done with nice detail. I'd probably see a lot more detail in the daytime though. There's not much lighting at all so everything just looked a bit dim. The miniature settings include: *Pinocchio's cobblestone village with Geppetto's wood shop *Toad Hall from The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad *The Sultan's palace from Aladdin *London Park from Peter Pan *The village from Cinderella, featuring a gold-spired castle *The dwarfs' cottage and mine from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs *An English village, with a church and the entrance to the White Rabbit's hole, from *Alice in Wonderland *The pigs' homes from The Three Little Pigs *King Triton's underwater castle, partially hidden behind a waterfall, from The Little Mermaid *Prince Eric's seaside castle from The Little Mermaid *The Cave of Wonders from "Aladdin" In essence, think Jungle Cruise but with no animals. Instead you pass by little landmarks. By the way, the cast member delivering the jokes wasn't really that funny. So it does make a difference who is driving the boat for that matter. There were ducks in the water and one happened to fly right over a guest's head while we were in the boat. That was quite entertaining. Considering this attraction has actually been around since opening day of Disneyland, I thought they did a pretty good job. In terms of today's standards though, it could be vastly improved. So I'm not particularly blown away by this ride but if I do go on again, I'd want to check it out during the daytime to see the miniature models in greater detail.

Yelp
One of my favorite rides. I prefer to go around dusk. Everything is lit up, but at the same time you can still take nice, clear pictures. Line also seems shorter around that time. Passing through the twinkling archways always makes me want to cuddle up to someone. I found out that the boats actually are tethered to some sort of track yesterday. I felt like my childhood crumbled a little bit.
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
This is a fun boat ride though our narrator was somewhat unenthused. Maybe because it was at the end of the day? It was fun to look at the different dwellings of different Disney characters such as Aladdin's palace and Elsa's castle from "Frozen," but there was something that was missing. Maybe seeing miniature replica of the characters would have brought it more to life for me. However, it's still a nice, laid-back ride with a line that's relatively short.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
HOW did I miss this ride for so long? I think - no, I *know* - it had to do with the crazy ass lines that always wrapped around the entrance to this ride. I've always passed by and commented to my husband that I've never been on those boats, but neither of us have ever been interested in waiting in line for what we deemed a kiddie ride. Yet, early one drizzly morning, we walked by and noticed that the wait wasn't bad at all. We shrugged and got in line, and five minutes later were clambering onto a boat. I had no idea what to expect. What I got, though, was a lesson on how incredible models and miniatures can be. I never knew this was here! I *loved* all the little representations of the different places, homes and lands of the characters I've loved pretty much all my life. The attention to detail, the history of it all...it couldn't get more perfect for me. The mini trees and park benches were precious. The market at Agrabah was astounding. The scene from Cinderella was breathtaking (complete with the pumpkin carriage, no less!) Mister Toad's abode, Pinocchio's village, the glimpse into the ocean...it just all made me clap my hands with glee! Yes, I'm a total dork. Yes, I'm easily amused. But when I stop to think about the amount of work and creativity that went into putting those models together, I'm appropriately awed.
google avatar

Michael J.

Yelp
An old one-time favorite. Seems to me the guides used to be better. Ours just seemed to skip over providing the entire narration. The miniature exhibits still have the magic though. Remarkably well-done scenes.

Yelp
A couple of weeks ago was our first trip of the year to Disneyland... and seeing how we're trying to go on each attraction at least once in an entire year, it was time to get on the Storybook Land Canal Boats in Fantasyland. Yes, this ride is meant for the kiddies, and no, if you're expecting something exciting, this isn't the ride. It's just a meandering trip through Monstro's mouth into the settings of some of Disney's most famous movies - but it's surprisingly a relaxing ride (if not short... it took about 5 minutes from when we boarded to when we got off the boat), and the details of the miniatures (such as Agrabah from "Aladdin") are nice to see. Plus, Arendelle and Elsa's castle from "Frozen" had just been added - hope those additions to the ride are permanent! Too bad our "tour guide" wasn't too enthused when she was providing the narration, but at least she let the littlest guests ride up front of the boat, so that was nice. If anything, I really hope Monstro gets spruced up for Disneyland's 60th anniversary in a few months... his exterior is really showing some cracks.

Yelp
I really like this ride for the main purpose of relaxing, taking pictures and more importantly checking my phone. The ride itself is very slow and calming. The ride takes you across the many land. They have included a Frozen section now, very new from what I was accustomed to. The ride itself is one of my favorites. From the whale entrance to the little castles up for displays, this ride has all the elements you need for great photography. The line can be pretty long as you can imagine its a very nice ride due to all the nostalgia that accompanies it. To be its along the line of the tea cup ride, very memorable and a must if you are at Disney. I love coming to this ride with my Disney peeps.
google avatar

Connie C.

Yelp
Classic Disney! This ride might sound like it's for small children because it's slow but I enjoy this ride every time. If you're in Disneyland to experience all things Disney, you need to go on this ride. I like it because it takes you through the different castles in Disney movies in a miniature format. The landscaping is really pretty with flowers and villages too. I recommend trying this ride in the evening or at night when the sun is set so you can see the lights of the castles and villages. Downfall is the lines are usually long and there are no fast passes. Added bonus, there are usually ducks and ducklings following the boats!

Yelp
Part I (last year) I love this ride, but sadly we passed on it because there was a time scrunch (operating hours were switched up on us, which we didn't know about until we pulled up to pay for parking, Bummer). Part II (this year) There was a long line (had to keep distracting our son from being impatient), but seeing all this beautiful scenery was worth it. I love miniatures, always have, since childhood (in fact, still have some minis in a box at home), so to see all of these villages, complete with mini-scale trees (some of them almost look like bonsai trees) and plants (such a beautiful and colorful arrangement, I should've snapped a picture of it), from the popular Disney cartoons (Snow White, Aladdin, Frozen, etc.), is amazing, but funny, at the same time, when you see that the ducks are bigger than the items in the scenes (yup, they were hanging around probably about to jump in the water, since it was so hot in Anaheim). You get this feeling of serenity (amid the ooh's and ah's) and enjoy the boat ride. I love it. The boat has to be even weight on both sides, so don't be surprised if you get stuck sitting on the seat where many footsteps have landed (it would be worse in wet weather, though). And the operator has a radio voice, narrating. Hubby asked him a question about something, and he spoke in his regular voice.

Yelp
Attack of the GIANT DUCKS!!! Out of all the Fantasyland attractions at Disneyland I think Storybook may be my favorite. It would probably be in a tie with Peter Pan. Just like Peter Pan the line can be 40 minutes long but unlike some of the other Fantasyland attractions the ride itself is like 10 minutes long. You board a small boat that can fit approximately 10 people. You are guided through Storybook Land by a Cast Member that sits on the back top of your boat. You enter into Monstro (the whale from Pinocchio) and you exit into a miniature world of Disney stories. This is what amazes me...when I say miniature I really mean miniature. Holy cow the flower in the window of one of the houses is maybe a half an inch tall and they have incredible detail. You end up passing through areas done up to represent different Disney stories like Mr Toad's Wild Ride, Sleeping Beauty and The Little Mermaid. This ride is totally fun for kids of all ages. The little ones will marvel in the storytelling and those true Disney fans will love seeing the classic Disney stories come to life...just a very small life. Also beware of the giant ducks! There are times when the resident ducks mull around the miniature building and it looks like there are giant ducks roaming about. Only at Disneyland. :0)

Yelp
Recently went on this ride and found it to be quite fun, there's always a line but it's any height and takes you through the winding river passage ways.

Yelp
This ride begins on a boat that fits approx 10 ppl. The ride is on the water and you enter Storybook Land through a whales mouth. Once inside you will see little tiny houses that depict several stories. Such as Pinnochio, Cinderella, 3 little pigs, Alladin, and etc. The line is crazy long and the ride takes about 5 min at the most. The ride is cool if you are into doll houses or collecting Christmas villages. They bring villages to another level. During the night. Lights are projected towards the villages and also inside each house. It's a nice ride either at night or during the day. 4 star worthy based on the storyteller you get. If she's not good it can become a 2-3 star.

Yelp
Frankly I had no idea this ride even existed until we made it our girls first ever. Fantastic ride and we got there early enough to enjoy the ability to get on almost immediately. Very nice, and the best part was the guide who was (seemed to be) genuinely happy to give us a tour of Storybook Land. Great ride for the little ones, but the older ones will roll their eyes and deny they enjoyed it at all.

Yelp
I've had a great time on the canal and I've also had a boring time. it's 90% about your tour guide. If they're energetic, singing, and filled with puns you'll probably have a great time... However there have been some times when they clearly don't want to be there as if they are blatant that it's their 1000000th go around and they bring the boat down with their attitude. The Frozen theme was recently added here. It's not worth a long wait but if it's less than 15 mins, I'd take the gamble. I mean you get to see where a lot of your favorite characters live! Even the little piggies *SPOILER ALERT* !

Yelp
This is another cute boat ride at Disneyland that takes you through just about every major character in Disney. The line was long but it kept moving and a good amount of people can fit on the boat which is what helps keep the line moving. Our story teller was great. He had a great personality and we loved his jokes. The one issue I have with the ride is that you ride it with your back facing out meaning you technically are missing half of what there is to see unless you turn to sit at an awkward angle. I almost thought I was going to throw my back out trying to look at some of the stuff which sucks. You really miss out on some one the details when you are dealing with this.

Yelp
The whale! Love the mini movie setups. Great ride if you just want to sit an relax and see some neat movie settings. Updated with Frozen. Takes about 5 minutes. I enjoyed myself since I have not been on it for a long time, but not a repeat kind of ride.

Yelp
This ride features a casual boat ride, examining miniature models of several Disney story settings. Our guide had a calming voice, adding to the ambiance of pleasant intrigue, but it was often drowned out by noises and screaming children from nearby rides. The miniature towns are very detailed and ornate, and I wish guests had more time to look at them all. A more effective method for this would be like in a museum, but that isn't nearly as fun as a boat ride. The queue for this ride was longer than other rides that don't feature a FastPass.

Yelp
I don't dislike this ride. I don't really like this ride that much either. It's meh. Not worth waiting in line for either. It's truly a mystery how this attraction is still around, however, as an adult I do appreciate the miniature homes and landscaping. I don't have kids so I am not too sure if they would appreciate riding on a slow boat through dollhouse canals. This is something more to marvel at if one created this in their backyard, but for Disneyland it is VERY lackluster. Entering the whales mouth is pretty much the only exciting thing about this ride. Useless trivia: One of the original attraction when the park opened in 1955.

Yelp
I love this ride. I've gone during the day and at night and I would have to say that at night it looks much nicer. I'm kind of glad the lines for this ride aren't as long.

Yelp
This ride seriously scares me. I'm gonna be honest, I'm on the bigger side. I'm not, on the other hand, obese, just pleasantly plump. In any case, watching everyone else get on the boats, I got a little scared. It isn't like the boats on It's a Small World. I expressed my feelings to the line attendant, sure graciously assured me that I would most definitely be okay on this ride and that much larger people have ridden many times before. They explain before getting on that everyone needed to listen so the boat could keep balance. Um, yah. Red flag #1. I got on with my almost two year old, mom, friend, and her 5 year old. Instantly the boat started to rock. Red flag #2. We took off, and from that second on, I couldn't wait to get off this ride. Every time the driver would slow down or stop the boat, the boat kept veering to my side. My toddler was not digging it due to lack of sleep and nap, so she wanted so badly to walk on the boat. Her feet touched the boat bottom one time and the driver turned off her microphone and somewhat yelled at me to keep my child sitting. Something I didn't appreciate at all. I certainly understand safety, but when a child under the age of 2 does something unexpected, as we all know kids do all the time, at least give me a chance to react for crying out loud! The best part of this ride was getting off of it. Didn't appreciate the remark from the line attendant, although I know it was all in fun having to do with my question regarding the boats earlier, "see, the boat didn't sink, did it?" I'll keep on solid ground from now on and will admire Monstro from a distance like I usually do. Thanks.

Yelp
One of Walts originals! Amazning to be here and see some of what Walt envisioned for his Magic Kingdom. Fantasyland was Walts favorite place to be. He would come back here in the middle of the night and play with his toys. He drove around the Park during construction, and when the Park was closed, and it really was Walt and his toys. This is why miniatures were so important to him. If you look at the Matterhorn during the ride when it aligns with the mountains on the ride, it fits right in as if it is part of the range from the tiny village. Kinda cool. Thank you to the Cast Members who make the voyage so Magical! We love you !

Yelp
I love this ride! I'll always do it if the wait time is 25 minutes or less. I wish it was open during the parade though.
