We came as a group of 4, we had 2 breakfast teas and 2 black coffees here around lunchtime. Soya milk was available too, which is great :)
We sat on a table that had an hour until it was reserved, and the lady at the desk let us know this (She wasn't to know we weren't the type of people who hang around all day nursing one drink, so that was fair enough). There was also a sign on the table clearly saying when we had to vacate the table, again, no problem. It wasn't until another member of staff then came over to let us know we would have to leave before 12.30, which we already knew, we could see the sign clearly and their colleague had let us know. We were polite to them, but we did wonder if maybe a little bit more communication between staff members would have been helpful here, so we didn't feel like we weren't allowed to sit somewhere, when we absolutely had enough time to drink our drinks and leave.
It's possible this has been a problem in the past for them, so they projected that onto us this time. Genuinely a very nice place, with a cinema, and a bookshop snaking around a cafe, I love the idea of that! We were also told that the seating area was a 1930s cinema, so that's cool!
I feel maybe a little more staff communication here would make people feel a little more at ease, we genuinely thought another person was going to tell us again 😅
