There are two different campgrounds. The RV FHU campground run by the Stovepipe Wells Village and the basic, no hookup area run by the Natl Pk which closes April 15th due to heat. We stayed at the fhu section $40 per, (they give discount for access pass) which included access to the pool, Wahoo! Quiet and cool nights until our last night which got warm so ac was welcome! The general store is open till 9pm and they had a good selection of necessary items and food. There is also a restaurant on site. Level site, water and electric worked perfectly. Late May only half the sites full.

Only 10 bucks to camp has a bathroom and a shower. The night we stayed we heard over five different languages It was very cool to see so many people experiencing America's parks. The staff was great

This is a nice campground. It is pretty large and there will certainly be a lot of other people there. The campsites on the back end are right next to each other. There is a really nice general store, restaurant, and small hotel across the road. The surrounding scenery is real nice and the site is in a good location. This place would also be good if you have a camper-- there is a pretty large lot. If you are looking for a quiet place this might not be it. But, if you are not too picky and don't mind others this place is good. There is running water and flushing toilets that are a short walk away.

The campground in Stovepipe Wells Village is a great stop when driving through Death Valley. The campground is located behind the general store. The space is wide open so don’t expect any shade. the beauty of camping here? It provides you a great view of the stars in the night sky. The campground provides plenty of hook ups for RVs. However, I did not see any area that was for tents only. It looks like the campers using tents only would be next to the campers in RVs? If so, it might get a bit loud from the generators running overnight? I did not have the opportunity to check out the restrooms on the campground. However the restrooms at the back of the general store were very clean on this Thursday evening in February 2021. See photo. Kudos to the operating team for maintaining those restrooms well.

Only 2 stalls in the men's bathroom for 190 camp sites, close to the main road, noise daily from fighter jets right over head and no trees at all and I would give it 6 stars if I could! Why?? It is walking distance from Mosaic Canyon which may be the most beautiful canyon on the planet. Also, the general store is well stocked with reasonable prices, hot showers and a restaurant across the street and centrally located for many other breathtaking canyon hikes near by.

I would stay here again. Not the most scenic area but there are nice restroom facilities and it is a short walk to the General Store and Restaurant. The large, flat area can hold a lot of campers so you should be able to find a spot at any time. This is a nice place to stay when visiting the Northern part of Death Valley Nat’l Park or when leaving the next morning as it is close to the entrance heading toward the Sierras. It is located about a half hour or so from Furnace Creek and the Visitors Center.

A beautiful spot for a night under the stars. I was here right before they closed for the season, so it was not busy. I enjoyed having the bathroom facilities here. I might try to stay at Emigrant Campground next time. However, this is there and safe and that is good to know! And it has restroom facilities... (Emigrant Camp does not)

Great open lot. Lots of room for any type of rug. They don’t charge much for the lot either. The only issue I can think of is the host comes around at EXACTLY 7pm to inform you that it’s time to shut the generators off. We travel all day on battery power. When we get to our destination it’s nice to charge up our batteries to 100% Not when you stop here at 6pm and have just a few minutes to charge. Oh well

Yelp
Always a great first stop along our trip to Death Valley. Many folks here are just arriving from wherever they came from. Everton keeps to themselves and many folks here don't make too much noise! Which is great bc snoozing is easy. Great thing about next day is many people are waking up o catch sunrise, have coffee, enjoy the view a d then pack off to their next destination. Wish: more campfire items Pros: always a spot and clean bathrooms!

Yelp
This is nothing but a huge, dusty parking lot that you'll pay $16/night to park in. If you're desperate and find yourself in the area too late to set up camp or your vehicle is not backcountry capable, it's fine for a night. Very loud, very dusty, and very dirty bathrooms. I understand NPS might have difficulty getting folks to work now, but the bathrooms in DV were really not good (not clean) compared to other national parks. Someone else mentioned that there's no Wi-Fi. I think this goes without saying. DV has three mountain ranges in it not to mention it is one of the most isolated places in that part of the west, so I'm not sure why you'd expect Wi-Fi. There is no cell service in most of the park and surrounding areas. If this is what you're looking for, you won't enjoy DV. It is a great place however this is for a campground review not a park review so if you want to find out about the park in general, check the NPS site.

Yelp
Great hotel for the desert!!!!! Of course there is no service or wifi ..... damn people your in the desert. What was cool the history and the sand dunes. O I forgot to mention devils golf course. Something that should be on Mars!

Yelp
The employees for the full hook up campground are amazing. One in particular Kate. We had an issue with the reservation and someone being in our spot. Kate went above and beyond to resolve our issue. Thank you Kate!!! I would highly recommend this campground.

Yelp
We camped for 3 nights. The site was fine but what they don't tell you is NO internet NO cell service. You are completely cut off from the rest of the world. Didn't really work for us. They tell you there is both but we weren't the only ones that couldn't find it. They have a computer you can use but its kind of a joke. You have to drive about 15 miles to get any cell service and then it is in and out. The restaurant was ok, a little pricey but then again you are in the middle of no where. Lots of interesting places to see nearby it was a good trip over all. You may want to find a different campground. We actually ran into one while exploring that offered much more then Stovepipe Wells.
