We loved our two night stay at Stracta hotel. Our room was comfortable and spacious and very clean. We enjoyed two nights in the restaurant and were very pleased with what the cafe has to offer. The garden area was especially nice to relax in after a long day on the ring road. Staff was courteous and helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel to all travelers.

Our family of six loved staying at the Stracta Hotel! We had a two bedroom apartment and the space was great. We also enjoyed the private hot tub on our patio. The free breakfast was really good and had tons of options available. We would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel for 1 night. It was clean and comfortable. The room has tv, coffee and tea, blackout curtains, strong and hot shower with soap. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner. I didn't use the sauna or hot tub and didn't dine in at the restaurant however, the place is very cozy and has a good atmosphere. Breakfast is included and with lots of options. There is also a bar and I did receive 2 drink coupons for either wine or beer which was nice but I ended up not using them. Would stay here again.

Best hotel and can accommodate plenty of guests. Our room at ground floor and on the way to my room, can see many facilities can be use. Facilities like 2 hot tubs , 2 sauna, restaurants, small gym room, small area for you to see and enjoy the view, Our booking include breakfast. Breakfast is great with variety of choices. They have bread, bacon, ham , cheese, cereals , fruits, porridge, eggs and etc.

We stayed two nights at this hotel during a south coast road trip (it was booked for us by Nordic Visitor). ||Stracta is an odd little hotel and I have mixed feelings about it. It certainly wasn't a bad stopping place, but somehow the photos make it seem nicer than it is. ||Check-in was friendly and efficient, we were given two rooms across from each other. Rooms are in funny little pods that branch off from the main building structure (we were in the 600 block). The rooms were small and minimally appointed - good for sleeping in and nothing else. There was a kettle and a couple tea bags/instant coffee pouches but that's it. We were travelling with a cooler bag of food and were disappointed that neither room had a fridge, but the bar was happy to provide us with ice to keep our things cold. ||There is no view from the room (we were looking at the wall of the next pod of rooms) but the hotel does have a nice little aurora tunnel you can sit in, an outdoor patio you can use if the weather is nice, outdoor saunas and hot tubs. The hot tub was not very warm the evening I used it, so I didn't bother the second night. Some rooms get complimentary robes, but they were not included in ours so that made the walk back from the tub a little uncomfortable. ||The bathroom is also very small, but clean. The shower was good. ||I personally found the bed to be too soft, not very supportive, and the curtains did little to block the sun (thankfully I had my sleep mask with me as it is June and the sun doesn't set this time of year). ||Breakfast was buffet style each morning and very busy. I think this is a very popular bus tour stop as there were multiple buses there during our stay and the breakfast was packed with people each morning. Good spread of food though - hot items were bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages, beans, potatoes, and oatmeal. Cold items were boiled eggs, slices meats and cheeses, fruits, vegetables, cereals and breads. There was a DIY waffle area, a couple espresso and juice machines. ||In the evenings there is a restaurant and bar. There is also a little gift shop that they will open up by request.

The Hotel Stracta was super comfortable and the staff was amazing. When we checked in, we were very tired and my husband was very weak. They quickly got us to our room so he could rest. I accidentally left my purse at the desk when I had been hunting for my passport and they called me as soon as they realized it. The breakfast was included and was huge! The hotel restaurant was excellent and the service was great. We did not take advantage of the sauna and hot tub, but only because we were too tired and our stay was short. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

Me and my husband traveled room was small and nothing special. When we opened the door to the room, the bed was the first thing we saw. There was no partition, which was really bad as my husband and I had unexpected guests in our room later that night. It was very embarrassing to be lying on the bed, and a group of people walked in on us. When I went to tell the front desk, she tried to bribe me with drink tickets from the bar. The front desk lady apologized and said that the hotel was full and she had made a mistake by checking other people into the room. I have never felt so uncomfortable and unsafe in a hotel. There was a very strong smell in the room and a strong smell of skunk. There was no view out the window, just grass and the next window. There had clearly been a water leak in the bathroom as there were signs of it. The toilet didn't work, and they had to send someone to our room to fix it. The food and the waiters were exemplary. The chef on the top floor of the hotel saved a romantic dinner that we were going to order, but the receptionist had said that it was not necessary. there is little to no entertainment in the town itself. The chef was wonderful, and the food was 10. The pots were lukewarm, and the steam was cold. It was a romantic weekend that could have been better.
