Stradom House (Krakow, Poland) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"That’s Stradom, the Krakow neighborhood, not “stardom” — though autocorrect may be on to something, given the locale’s illustrious history of kings and cultural icons. Here is no hamfisted restoration; the facade and public spaces of Stradom House go out of their way to keep this 14th-century edifice in conversation with the medieval town squares and religious monuments around it. Thankfully, the rooms live in the here and now, keeping the ambience unstifled and airy, the better to offset the stone-clad streetscape just outside. Drift from chapel to art gallery to drinks at Hedwig’s, blissfully unmoored in time." - Tablet Hotels

Hotel Stradom has been our favorite place for the past two years — we regularly return here. This year, we had the honor of celebrating our wedding at the hotel, including the ceremony. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the staff is truly wonderful and kind — no request was ever a problem. The entire team, from the front desk to the restaurant staff, delivered outstanding service, and the hotel management went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Our wedding was magical and completely stress-free. Most of our guests stayed at the hotel and are already planning to return in the future. We are incredibly grateful for the exceptional support and for making our celebration so unforgettable!

This hotel was a mixed bag. Given that it's a 5 star hotel, I really expected more from the breakfast. The selection was fairly limited compared to other 5 star hotels. We also had a weird experience with their spa. After treatment, I asked them to put the charge on my room. Instead, they demanded payment by cash and said I need to open a credit line with the hotel. I've never heard of hotels offering credit lines and I certainly wouldn't have booked a treatment or stayed at the hotel if I couldn't afford it. They made one of us stay downstairs with them while I trekked (10 minutes one way) back up to my room to get cash. I've never had a hotel refuse to put a service on my tab before. Otherwise, the courtyard suite was smaller than expected. The cocktails were good, the gym, spa and pool were fantastic. Staff were friendly except for the weird spa people.

This is a wonderful property. I arrived in Krakow 2 days before a tour and needed a place to stay before moving to the tour hotel. As a Marriott Elite member I wanted to stay at a Marriott affiliate close to the hotel. Was I ever lucky. Very friendly staff and very competent. Rooms were elegant. Bathroom was beautiful. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner was very nice and one night I had a flatbread in the bar with a beer and it hit the spot. Great location - with easy walk or tram to the Old Town and easy walk to the river of the fun Kazimierz district - which is the happening place in Krakow without the tourists of the Old Town. I cannot wait to return to this beautiful city and this beautiful property. My only criticism would be the bed - a little too soft for my liking. I was there on a 93 degree day and the AC worked just fine.

This is one of the best hotels I have been in my life (and I have been in a lot!). It looks amazing and is very well maintained. The room we stayed in was roomy and was nicely decorated. There was a patio outside with stairs and a small table to enjoy a coffee in the sun. Although all patios were connected so you did not have too much privacy there, it was still a nice feature. The breakfast is also very good, with loads of options on the buffet but also a good selection to choose from a la carte. You can enjoy your breakfast inside or outside, which is nice. What was most impressive about this hotel is its spa and gym. I like to go to the gym when abroad as well and this gym was definitely in the top 3 of hotelgyms I've seen worldwide. It basically is a fully equiped gym, with everything you wish for (not the typical bad hotelgym with a few cardio pieces, one bench and a rack of weights). It's very big and looks new. The spa has a very nice long swimming pool, with a few saunas and steamroom and showers adjacent to it. It looked very nice and open and cosy. They did a very good job here. The hotel is conveniently located: you can walk to the Jewish neighbourhood as well as the city centre easily. I'd highly recommend this hotel if you ever visit Krakow.

This hotel is an amazing oasis in Krakow. The vibe is cool, and the rooms are stunning. My favorite place to stay in krakow. The spa is very cool, with a huge pool and so many different salt hot rooms, and even a cold plunge and a meditation room with singing bowls. The gym has some awesome equipment that coaches you on how fast to go in each exercise. They have a gym bar for amazing smoothies. I really loved the experience. What’s more is the amazing food. The restaurant is amazing. We had pizza and salmon, and it was very tasty. They have a cool bar. Probably the best place in Krakow to be in. We tried the restaurant both days, and it was amazing. Way better than outside food. The hotel is right next to the castle, and it’s an easy stroll at night for amazing views. There’s nice street parking and an underground garage. I highly recommend the hotel. Even though we had a little ac issue and some service delays, the front office made it up to us at checkout. Especially wonderful is the staff. They were all very friendly. The concierge was great. He made a map for us to walk on Google Maps and gave us tickets to see the castle. And also Zofia, who made the checkout much better. She knows what customer service is, and we really appreciated her.

We were in Krakow for 3 nights following a 7-day river cruise and stayed in the Stradom House as we are Bonvoy travelers and we were intrigued by this newer hotel. We always enjoy the uniqueness of each Autograph Collection hotel. Stradom House did not disappoint and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As other reviewers have said, the location is simply perfect and within walking distance of the old city. The staff across the board was attentive and helpful. Customer service throughout the stay was outstanding. Breakfast was very good. The bar was a lot of fun and was built in an old chapel. We did visit the Spa and got massages and it was a truly wonderful experience--the spa facility and fitness center are outstanding with the swim pool, and the various spa and fitness amenities. My masseuse was Wiolet and I highly recommend. The only downside is that we were disappointed in our room. It was on the bottom floor and in another part of the hotel in the back which required maneuvering through a connecting tunnel and several elevation trips. The room itself was fine but off the beaten path and no view--but was functional for our 3 nights--the hotel was fully booked when we checked in and no other room options were available. All in all, I highly recommend Stradom House as a unique experience.
