We stayed in a two bedroom cottage on the waterfront. It was spacious and well laid with plenty of room for the four of us. The heating was excellent and the bathroom was large. It was a bit annoying that the only mirror in the cottage was in the bathroom as we were a party of 4 girls. The windows in the bedrooms looked directly out on to the car park which did detract somewhat from a privacy perspective. |The value for money was very good and the location is convenient for taking a trip out on the Gordon River.

Gorgeous place for a quiet stay in a small town. Clean rooms. Great shower/bath. Had a relaxing night in the buffet. Food was great and then a big comfortable bed to retire in. We slept great overnight.

The property itself is lovely, with beautiful surroundings and a calm, refreshing atmosphere. The views from the room, outside areas, and around the property were truly enjoyable.||Our stay overall was okay, though the room felt a little dated and carried a noticeable “old” smell. The wooden areas outside the room seemed slightly damp, and perhaps a bit more upkeep could help keep them fresh and unaffected. On the positive side, the bathroom was impressively large, and the room size itself was comfortable.||The bar had a nice vibe—though slightly on the expensive side—but their hot gin was absolutely outstanding and worth trying.||All in all, it’s a peaceful place with lots of charm, though a bit of maintenance could make the experience much more comfortable.

We stayed for 2 nights in the hotel rooms up the top, had a nice view out the window onto the water and the room was clean and modern. Not sure if people have read the accommodation types when booking, but you need to book the better rooms for the nicer rooms and view. Check in at the main reception was easy and check out even easier. Plenty of parking up the top carpark, we went in winter though so I imagine busy in summer. The split level room was nice and the "fire" heater was nice. 2 large TVs too. Small area with a mini fridge and kettle etc was plenty big enough for us to make drinks and have cereal of a morning. Bed was comfy and there was a towel heating rack in the bathroom. Nice brand of shampoo etc too.

Room was pretty good, nice updated bathroom. Nice view. Service/check in process was a bit strange, we arrived within hours but there was no one at the desk so we had to call to check in. I would also say it’s a bit overpriced

Strahan Village is located on the foreshore/port of Strahan. We stayed one night in the accommodation just above reception which were roomy and clean and most importantly warm. Not the quaint cottages in the pictures. It was classed as a Village Waterfront Executive Spa. We obtained a discount on the room through NRMA so ensure you try a free membership to obtain discounts in Tasmania when you visit. Be aware that the places to eat recommended by staff are owned by the same establishment and not the only ones available. We worked this out too late, however in saying that we ate at Hamers Bar and it was fine. If you like Seafood (we are not partial) their seafood chowder was getting rave reviews from others:). Overall a great stay and across the road from the departure point for Gordon River Cruises which I will review separately.

Room was nice enough bit tired imo. View was great. Bed was way too soft. Not much of an offering in terms of dinner apart from what I consider expensive $65:00 per person carvery. Think because it’s operated by a corporation which owns several businesses in the town they have a monopoly on everything which means the personal touch is lost money over services comes to mind. Strahan is a lovely little town. Went in the off season not a lot happening. Not sure we would go back again personal opinion

Large clean motel type room set high on the hill above the harbour. We had a room that looked out on the garden not the water but was happy with that as much cheaper than water view.

Yelp
Over all really enjoyed our stay here. When we originally arrived to our hotel, we found that the hot water wasn't working. Reception was informed and immediately we were update at no extra cost and had serval drinks paid for at View 42. Extremely happy with the customer service. The downside: We went to the local pub for a beer before dinner, the waitress didn't seem to be interested in accommodating you unless you were "local" she was off putting and there was very much a homophobic vibe happening. Needless to say we left and went to View 42 which I would highly recommend as well and the train trip. Overall a enjoyable 2 days.
