We had wine tasting with own brewed wines, the host Mary is so friendly, the wines are all very fresh & the taste of grapes are great. Such a lovely vineyard to visit.

What a fun vineyard to visit. The owners were super friendly and gave us incredible recommendations for our onward journey towards Lake Tekapo. We followed everyone of them and were so happy we did. The wines were also excellent. We bought a bottle and should've have probably bought at least a few more! Reasonably priced tasting and also had some local cheeses that we snacked on during our journey. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Dropped in last minute on my last day in New Zealand and I was so glad we did. Have been to a few wineries in South Island and this winery was by far the best one. Its a small winery but their wines are so much more better than those big wineries. We met James and Mary and James, who is the winemaker shares so much about what he does with the wines. Their wines are aromatic, has depth, and every wine varietal produced by them are of very good quality. The price is suprisingly very cheap, given the good quality of wine sold. We love the wine so much. Best ones that we have tasted during our trip. Thank you James for the passion in wine. Hope to see you again.

Popped in on Sunday for a tasting. James and Mary provided excellent explanation on all of their wines and just great conversation all round. So much more welcoming and personal than your average commercial cellar door. Highly recommend. Thanks. Kent & Jo

After reading all the good reviews we were expecting a completely different experience from the one we had. As soon as we got there the conversation with James turned very awkward and political, with some extremist and offensive comments. Then, we went on with the wine tasting with Mary (15 dollars per person for tasting three different wines) and every time we asked about how the different wines were made she replied with a condescending comment. Overall, a very bad experience that left us feeling uneasy. Definitely do not recommend.

Charming winery and lovely people! Really enjoyed the tasting, the wines are gorgeous and Mary and James were very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Thoroughly recommend a visit here! Try the cheese!
