"Lake Zurich's Sandy Beach This sprawling badi on the left side of the lake bears the distinct honor of being the only one in town with a sandy beach. Other draws include a 5-meter tall diving tower, barbecue areas, an expansive green lawn and phenomenal mountain views. While it’s a slight jaunt from the tourist attractions of the Old Town, it’s well situated for other pursuits; the Rietberg Museum and Belvoir Park are just a short stroll away."

It is a nice place to see stunning views and have a quiet moment by the lake. There was a sandy area which was clean. The water was crystal clear and easily accessible for swimming. Plus, a large green area for picnics and sunbathing. There was, also, a diving platform that had three different heights. Early on a weekday in the spring, it was empty of people, but I can see it being very busy during the summer. There were toilets facilities nearby, though I did not use them, so I can not comment on them. It is an open park, so the area is accessible to people who use a wheelchair. There are a choice of hard surface paths or grass.

Ah, Strandbad Mythenquai. How civilized, to stroll its generous grounds now that the gates are open—one can almost hear the gentle lapping of the lake, the laughter of children, the distant sizzle of a grill. When the entrance fee is required, the space becomes positively expansive, as if designed for a more discerning palate, one that appreciates room to breathe, to observe, to savor. Yet, I confess, the local “bad culture” eludes me—perhaps my tastes are not yet acclimatized to Zurich’s particular flavor of leisure. Still, the sand is soft, the water inviting, and the people-watching exquisite. Four stars, with a hint of anticipation for the day I truly acquire the .. taste :)

Most excellent place! All the areas to swim and sunbathe, paddle board rentals, amazing cafeteria, lots of space to spread out and friendly crowd. What a treat! We spent all day here on our visit to Zurich.

Zurich lake is beautiful place to visit. The best times are weekends and sunny day. You see a lot of people coming for picnic and party. Really a fun place.

Good place with a lot of shade. Also enough space. The food should be a bot more variation. I miss a classic kiosk in here.

Entry price for adults is CHF 8 each. If you bring your own small padlock then you don’t need to rent one to store your items in the lockers. Well worth a visit if you’re in Zurich.

I love the autumn colours of this place. My daughter had a great time playing with the sand and the water. There is a dock where people swim and sun bathe, and a modest playground nearby.

Clean, lovely, and beautiful views of Lake Zürich. Good amenities as well: diving boards, swimming platforms, paddle board rentals, and inflatables for the kids. Visiting from the USA and happened to walk by, and decided to take a chance and check it out. For only 8 CHF, this was a steal for a relaxing afternoon on the lake with the locals. Lots of gnats in the grass, be warned.
