I stayed at Strandhotel Cadzand last year, expecting the same high standards from a previous visit, but this time was a huge disappointment.||The toilet in our room was noticeably dirty, especially under the seat, as if it hadn’t been cleaned for days. Too say the least, discovering this was extremely unpleasant. Additionally, the toilet seat was broken, a floor lamp didn’t work, and cleaning materials were left in the room—not what you expect from a hotel at this level.||We initially requested a paid late checkout but canceled it after all the issues. The hotel then offered it for free, but at that point, we just wanted to leave. Later, they offered a complimentary suite for a future stay, which seemed fair—until I tried to book.||When I requested to use it on a Saturday, which was my birthday, they told me the hotel was “quite busy” and instead offered me a stay on Friday. However, I could still see availability online, which made their response feel dismissive rather than a genuine effort to accommodate me.||The only bright spot was the great service at the bar, which was the level of hospitality I had expected throughout my stay.||At €190 per night, this was not worth it. Dirty rooms, broken facilities, and communication make it hard to recommend this hotel. I won’t be returning.
