Nice restaurant in Stockholm to have a fine dinner. We started off with two cocktails, the Stockholm sour and the Ryan and Gosling, both well prepared and refreshing. We had the tartar and rib eye as main courses, both of them were pretty good, but I’d say a little bit overpriced. To finish we ordered dessert: cheesecake accompanied by roasted apple and Caramel ice cream. I have to admit it didn’t taste like a cheesecake at all but it was a good ending. I enjoyed the dinner but it felt like I was paying for the location and elegant environment instead of the food. Anyways, we had a good time so I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a chill restaurant to have a date!

Google
Cute outdoor seatings. Nice view over the waters. Many people passing by during our visit. The tables were very close to each other. The french toast was generally enjoyable, except for it having a slight fishy(?) tone (as if they used a pan for frying fish and not have cleansed it well enough). Not the best espresso martini I had. Tasted as if they used strongly brewed coffee rather than espresso in the cocktail.

Chic, elegant and great service. A little expensive but worth it. The most complex flavours you'll find are in the tuna burger and risotto. At first we were reluctant to try tuna in a burger but this simply wowed us. The risotto was just adequately cheesy with mushroom and crispy leaves. Recommend; dirty chips, risotto, tuna burger and minute steak. Highly recommended. Fast service, fresh food and great atmosphere.

Google
The restaurant place is very nice middle of the center of this famous but the food is very bad. They have the most expensive and the best steak they recommend for the customer on this very bad on this chip beef. We are from UAE. We are trying a lot of food. This one was like a cheapest beef we eat. Service they don't care about the customer they just one sell the food and when you're asking what's the best they will recommend the beef months, not true.

We made just a short stop to have a coffee and sparkling water. Very welcoming staff and exquisite atmosphere. Would definitely stop by again and stay for a longer time.

Google
Nice food but the place itself was below expectations. When using the facilities, the bathroom for men had no paper towels and someone had vomited on the corridor downstairs apparently for some time already. Overall good food but for the type of restaurant, the expectations in other aspects were higher.

Really lovely food. We loved our waitress. Great recommendations. Especially the rhubarb mocktail.

Yelp
Wanted a quick lunch after touring the city and this was a short walk from the hotel. On the edge of the "upscale" side of town, but had both fancy and low-key food. Ended up getting a puff pastry with roasted vegetables that was just great. Quick and friendly service and close walking distance from Kungstrandsgarden.

Yelp
After spending the morning touring the archipelago, we were starving for a brunch & found this spot on the water. While the atmosphere might not be for everyone (funky club music starting at 11 AM), we actually loved it! The service was also very fast which was perfect for us because we had to head out to see museums. The only downside is the food was very pricey for being just kind of average (you definitely pay for the view of being on the water), and funny enough the fresh squeezed ginger lemonade was my favorite part of the meal! It feels like more of a place I would want to stop in for a cocktail vs a full meal. Food: B- Drinks: A- Service: B+ Atmosphere: B+

Yelp
It's Midsummer not much open so this was it. Almost didn't get in due to security guard saying it was an hour and half wait! He pointed to a group of ladies and said the restaurant was full. It was a group of four ladies. Wow! I thought no way. So I told him we would wait. He was shocked but then let us in. Once I spoke to the head waiter he said 15-20 minute wait. 2 Burgers, and a lobster tail appetizer $80.00!! We drank water thank God. Ouch! Not worth it people. I don't mind paying top dollar if it's quality. The food was so so. This area is the Beverly Hills of Stockholm. We found this out the hard way. If you go out a bit, prices drop dramatically. Old Town is pricey too. I guess that's to be expected in touristy areas.

Yelp
Perfect location and beautiful view along the water and can watch people walking by. Had past for lunch with shrimp and tomato sauce and it was great. Also had cream brûlée for dessert, and ITV was great!

Yelp
Dined at Strandvagen on a quiet Sunday evening. It was one of my favorite dinners during my vacation. Sunday nights the place hosts bands and this added to the enjoyment to our meal. Food & drink - 5 stars. I've never had ceviche served this way. The sauce mixed with the ceviche was surprisingly not creamy with a touch of spice that added to the overall flavor - excellent. For dinner I had the chicken. It was delicious. My boyfriend ordered the ham dish and it was full of flavor, cooked properly. Loved it. For dessert we ordered the Oreo cheesecake. The dessert was a little bit different than what I expected from an American perspective of cheesecake but nonetheless delicious. The chocolate terrine was super rich and dense. We didn't have any cocktails but the wine selection was nice. Service - 5 stars - our waitress was so kind and made recommendations and was patient with us and our questions. This is a can't miss place for dining in Stockholm.

Yelp
Lovely lunch on sunny Saturday recently. I very much enjoyed my roast beef salad, and my husband relished his steak tartare. We have high praise as well for the gingery Moscow Mules. The dj's choice of music was a bit too techno for us, but we are pretty terminally middle aged, alas. The rest of the patrons seemed to enjoy it! Convenient to many tourist sites but with a hip vibe.

Yelp
Great spot to have drinks or a bite to eat by the harbor in Stockholm. We wanted to sit outside on the patio but it was so warm that the air conditioning inside was beckoning to us so in we went. We sat at the bar and had a Bloody Mary which was so carefully crafted it was like a small liquid work of art!! I loved the decor! And the ceiling looked like copper that had been washed in vinegar giving the illusion of "clouds" floating across it. The bathrooms downstairs were also well thought out with nice fixtures. The whole place just felt classy although during the day given everyone in the area seems to be a tourist there is no need to dress up. I probably would take it up a notch if I came here in the evening, though. The staff was friendly, the drink was cold and I was happy . And that's pretty much all I need.

Yelp
Strandvägen 1, located next to Dramaten, is a restaurant with an luxurios atmosphere that works just as well as in the morning, during lunch or for dinner. You can order from their breakfast menu throughout the whole day if you're craving for eggs benedict or an smoked salmon omelet for instance. I've seen a wide range of reviews of this place, which seems to be the HQ of Stockholm's fashionistas, in the past and was quite sceptic on beforehand, but fortunately I was pleasantly suprised. Maybe it was due to my low expectations? The dishes I ordered were generous, seasonal and flavorsome. The chanterelle toast with bleak roe, pickled onion and goat cheese was well balanced, and the spring chicken tasted great although it could be served a bit more moist. The portions were huge(!) and it was difficult to ingest everything. So the overall experience was good, except a few minor mistakes in the service.

Yelp
The place is beautiful in winter and in summer. I have been there various times where I have usually enjoyed a hamburger and a drink or two. I recommend it as a beautiful place, the service relatively nice and great food. Right in the middle of the city. Right next to the national theater.

Yelp
The cocktails served at Strandvägen 1 are crafted with great care by Johan. I had several excellent "old fashioned" cocktails while watching a performance by Antonia Vai. One of the best parts of the drink was the enormous single rectangular ice cube that never melted. I did notice that unlike bartenders at home, bartenders in Stockholm tended to under measure while pouring into the jigger. I noticed because they would pour into the jigger away from your glass, instead of pouring into the jigger over your glass, and would underfill so as not to spill, whereas at home the bartenders tend to overfill and let the excess go into your drink. This is not a complaint, so much as a cultural observation. While at the bar, the manager Marcus recommended the beef carpaccio. I asked if I could eat it at the bar, because it doesn't seem like that's something people do in Sweden, and he was totally cool with it. The carpaccio is served thinly sliced, with a piece of buttered toast in the center, with an egg yolk and a spoonful of whitefish roe. I don't usually eat raw beef, and I almost never eat raw or cooked egg yolks, but it was superb. This is a great place to enjoy a drink and the company of friends.

Yelp
The best white asparagus dish ever! They really know what to do; the dish had nice crunch on top inclusion hazelnuts which was a nice touch. I had the Arctic char with Lobster velouté. The other main was the steak with smoked butter. The Smoked butter really made the dish stand out.

Yelp
Never been eating here just been around for some drinks. The place is not very big, but its literally right in the intersection of Nybroplan. On arrival you will bump into the heart of the venue, the squared bar in the middle. This is where you (try) order if you dont have a table, which most people dont, so they try hang on to the bar rail as long as they could. And this is probably the best way to secure that their precious liquid will be served in a steady stream. Service isnt very fast in the bar, and it may be quality before quantity, but i still think they can improve the pace to please more thirsty customers. If you are here to eat or arrive early you will have better chances scoring a table. And their outdoor patio along the street is pretty cozy nightwise and is a perfect spot for people-watching. The place can get pretty crowded later on, so if you dont like close encounters you do better off arrive early. This place is a perfect stop to meet up at or just grab a drink at early on, and after that its up to you to set the agenda!

Yelp
Surprisingly welcoming for a restaurant at this location, and we were even a family with kids! They were very flexible and friendly, managed to split main dishes to the kids liking! Not the cheapest alternative, but a very pleasant experience!

Yelp
Best bar and incredible good. Best Tuna steak this side of Hawaii. Great Bar Manager. Drink at bar, eat here too unless you need a table. Great staff. Excellent quality ingredients well prepared. I don't write many reviews but this is worth it!

Cindy H.

Yelp
Tuna salad and fish dish are the two best dishes I've ever had. Five stars all the way - I want to eat here for every meal.

Emily C.

Yelp
I stopped here by chance. Service was quick and staff extremely nice. I ordered one of the specials of the day: a codfish dish with shrimp, egg, potatoes, and a horseradish garnish. The food was very tasty, but the fish was a bit bland if you didn't use the horeradish garnish with it. Random note: they have the most perfect ice cubes I've ever seen at a restaurant.

Yelp
Quite average to bad food, steak was chewy & served with too much fat . Nice party place though. Toilets are really nasty & no toilet papers!

Yelp
Really nice atmosphere, especially on the patio in the summer. The food was good, nothing out of the ordinary - it's certainly more about the feeling/location/views/atmosphere

Yelp
Wonderful food and waitstaff! We had eight people and all the dishes were topnotch. Comfortable seating, good lighting, fun menu, interesting food choices, mutilingual and enthusiastic waitstaff, good sized portions and ideal place to be! We left with smiles on our faces and great memories of a lovely evening. We will be back!!

Yelp
Service was pretty bad but the food was delicious. Got the banana and almond pancakes and they were amazing. Definitely recommend to come here for breakfast in Stockholm, better than Riche.

Yelp
The two places we tried before landing here were closed (is this a summer thing?) so we plopped down after flying overnight and then walking around town for five miles even though it was in a kind of touristy spot. It was great. A little pricey and service somewhat slow, but good wines and beers and the food was extra tasty. Had the rotisserie chicken, which seems to be on a lot of menus, and it was soooooo delicious. BF had scallops presented casino-style. Panzanella was meh but you don't expect good Italian in Scandinavia.

Michael J.

Yelp
Had the rotisserie chicken and some nice wine. Food was prepared good and the service was excellent and very friendly. Others in the group had the rotisserie pork and hamburger which were also good.

Yelp
I am a frequent visitor to Stockholm and actually have lived here. I get the Uber-euro-chic vibe that serving staff like to present. But at the end of the day you are paying and the server needs to understand that. Let me be clear, the food got top marks for sure but you are absolutely over paying for that already. You would expect the minimum from the server to at least say please or a thank you. We were treated, with a dismissive attitude from our unnamed waiter who in his perfect American accent said he was from Brazil that is until I ordered a $400 bottle of wine and tone changed slightly, At the end of the meal he asked if we would like to move to the bar because clearly we had stayed beyond HIZ 90 min limit to turn the table. I politely asked him 'don't we have some of our wine left? Oh, yes you do he replied surprisingly. Did he think I was going to leave it? My guest was shocked as was I. He was more interested in moving us from the table than he was in doing his job, which throughout the meal was below average. The total bill for our meal? Three pre dinner cocktails, 3 main dishes and the aforementioned bottle of Calera Vineyards 2000 Jensen Pinot Noir? 4400 SEK or $660 CAD. I say get over yourself and remember your guests come first.
