Strangers Coffee Company

Strangers is one of probably only about half a dozen places in Norwich for specialty coffee, and probably the most centrally located and popular. It's become my go-to when in Norwich. They have a decent range of house roast blends and single origin coffees. As well as the usual espresso machine coffees, they typically have two specialty coffees on batch filter brew (a Honduras Natural and an Ethiopian when last visited). They have a good range of beans to purchase, although not quite their full range, which is available from the hole-in-the-wall at their city centre roastery around the corner on Dove Street. Staff have been consistently friendly, efficient, and helpful when visiting, and approachably knowledgeable. Food: pastries and cakes. Seating available inside and outside.

Delicious, well made coffee by skilled baristas is always such a treat. The salted caramel brownie was insane, almost more caramel than brownie. Win!

Strangers coffee is sold everywhere in Norfolk, but i prefer to get it freshly brewed in their own shop. One of the best places to get coffee in Norwich with some outdoor seating.

Really nice coffee, but it's not a place you'll linger long in, there are very few seats & they're wooden so not very comfy. Staff are great

Great coffee, but very disappointing that it’s not dog friendly in 2026. Screaming babies? Absolutely. Dogs? Nope.

Cheap prices for good coffee and cake. A pretty small cafe so I would get here earlyish in the day to ensure a seat if you're planning on staying a while. Very friendly staff. The cafe itself is very aesthetically pleasing and has a great view of the lanes and bustling Norwich life. Tables come with complimentary mini lotus biscuits.

Great filter coffee, depending on the bean. Bought some beans (Columbian) fruitful bliss. Good view for people watching, seemed to have a good selection of pastries, no review there didn't eat any.

I went to Stranger Coffee to get my caffeine fix before an event, hoping to find a fruity coffee. The staff kindly offered me a taste of their filter coffee before making a purchase. The coffee had a fruity taste, reminiscent of pineapple, with a subtle fermented aroma. It was an excellent coffee, especially for its affordable price!

Small and cosy. Friendly staff. Great coffee and tea with a selection of pastries and breakfast goodies.

Fantastic baristas to get an artisan style coffee. Would say it's top 3 coffee shops to get a nice coffee in Norwich. Selection pastry items are nice to have alongside with your drink! Only issue is lack of wifi!

These guys really know and love their coffee, and take a great deal of pride in brewing a good cup. I've only been twice but each time have had a perfect flat white. The cakes are ok, not a huge choice. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It is situated in the heart of the lanes, perfect for a day out in Norwich.

Very good flat white! Also nice customer service with good coffee knowledge. Always nice to be served by some who cares about their coffee! Definitely recommend!
