Google
with the price 7.5 relatively ok museum. not too big, only 2 stories. 1-1.5 hour I already finished everuthing. it has english explanation, but mostly the explanation of each art with french so we need also use google translate. the most interesting story is about Gustav Dore, an artist born in Strasbourg. his famous collection id the sacred- illustration about the Bible and some contemporary art is also interesting

A good plan if you have free time. There are no masterpieces, but you can still have a good time. Minor works by Picasso, Vasili Kandinski, and Miró. The Doré room with no many works, is worth seeing. On the second floor, a contemporary art exhibition that you can easily skip.

Nice building very modern and good space. I think they have potential given they have 18,400 works on collection (according to google). Some interesting pieces on display but it feels a bit lacking. Hit and miss. Labels are all in French except the introduction of the gallery where you get an English version. 2 of their gallery were closed the time I went December 28. Had to say I was a bit disappointed.

Beautiful place, the design of the museum it’s an art work of the minimalism. The museum it’s small but it have great works of local and international artist. The entrance of the museum have one of the most gorgeous murals that I have ever seen. A must if you have the opportunity to go to Strasbourg.

We arrived when it opened and it was not busy. We toured the first floor as the second floor was closed. Despite having our city pass, admission was free since the second floor was closed. The museum features a small collection of impressionist artists and a variety of modern art. All very interesting.

The exhibition is rich of famous pieces, and the building is also very comfortable to stay for several hours. There's an artcafe on the roof as well, with an awesome view on the city. The only inconvenience was that the wardrobe was closed.

Yelp
Fabulous. Contemporary art usually goes right over my head but that wasn't a big piece of the displays here when I visited Strasbourg in November 2021. Modern art, yes. Political art, not so much. My visit started with a large exhibit explaining the history and origin of the French national anthem, La Marseillaise. Me, I love a rounding rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. When done properly, it gives me goosebumps. So to have this opportunity to learn about this song was interesting and enjoyable. From the "Chant de Guerre" that was the battle hymn for the Army of the Rhine and adapted to become Chant des Marsellois and subsequently La Marseillaise. From 1792 and through the 19th and 20th centuries, it represented a rallying hymn in the struggles for freedom. It was even taken up by Chinese students demonstrating in Tiananmen Square in 1989. Other exhibits included sculptures and art pieces and portraits, many of them absolutely interesting. I particularly enjoyed "Three Elements" (1925) by Vasilly Kandinsky and bought a print of it in the gift shop. Masks are required throughout the museum and QR codes were checked at entry. The cloakroom is currently closed. Expect to spend at least 90 minutes touring the art. [Review 16448 overall - 82 in France - 1956 of 2021.]

Yelp
Amazing museum! Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Strasbourg. I don't know a lot about art, but thoroughly enjoyed it here.

Yelp
The building alone is worth the visit and at 3.50 definitely worth having a look inside. I was surprised at the pieces they have here. Very small collection but worthy of a quick visit if you have the time. You might see something unexpected.
