For me I like the atmosphere of this place, and wide metro 🚇 system and very easy to use within Paris 😀 👌

Please be careful and avoid this metro station! We wanted to go to the line 9 platform and got scared by around 15 creepy men standing left and right on the stairs, staring at us. Gladly nothing really happened to us but reading the reviews, we are not the only ones who experienced something like this at this station.

You got to walk with 4 eyes looking on every direction because the place is filled with petty thieves lurking everywhere

One of the most dangerous metro stations of the French capital. You can regularly read news about people and tourists attacked and robbed at this station. Illegal vendors everywhere around the station. Nobody pays the ticket and jumps over the barrier. No ticket control, no security guards and no police officers. Be careful. If it's not necessary, don't come to this station.

Large metro station which has good connections with it's three metros that stop here. Metro line 4, Metro line 6 and Metro line 9 are all accessible here. You can buy tickets at the counter or self-service using the ticket machines. You can select your language on the screen and the instructions are clear. €1.90 for a single trip.

Worst experience today. Please be careful with this metro place . As usual these bunch of jobless people standing around the station stole my credit card and withdraw money when they saw me putting the code while I bought my ticket. It is the usual thing which makes me so uncomfortable when these bunch of b people are standing and staring at you so they can steal your money !! Please be careful and look around ,I wish police could take some action as this metro station is really unsafe.

This Metro station has irregular gate hours during night times. Check before you go at nights, or just walk to St Denis like the Parisians do. Once you get out of the Metro station and go on to the streets it's a whole new world between day and night. Day time; this area on both side of Rue de Faubourg St Denis and Blvd de Sebastopol is a populated, and concentrated; packed with Middle East, Pakistani, Indians, and many Africans that patronize their own cultural-related stores, restaurants, nail/hair, and other services. They usually do not interact with tourists since the tourists are not the main "target" buyers/shoppers. A safe neighborhood with lots delicious and reasonable priced ethnic restaurants around here. You should always keep your eyes on your valuable belongings even this is a safe neighborhood, generally speaking. As soon as the sun goes down, most of the ethic groups just disappeared and the Rue de St Denis is over filled with mostly local whites from late 20s to late 30 years olds show up after work to mingle with friends and coworkers. They packed the dark tiny bars and restaurants inside and out, spilled over onto the pedestrian side walks and into the tiny Rue de St Denis. Just to be clear, at night on Blvd de Sebastopol is a stinky, pee over flow street, with lots homeless unfortunates. Don't step into pee puddles.

This place is not dangerous, although it looks like. There are always homeless people inside and make the whole station dirty, because they drink alcohol and piss everywhere. However, they not agressive. Indeed, it is not the most beautiful nor the the cleanest metro station in the city but just don't be afraid to take the metro there. It cannot be compared to "gare du nord" or "gare de l'est" or other places in the the northern part of the city that are considered dangerous.

This station is in dire need of remodeling. Everything is falling apart here! So disgusting. I will try to avoid getting on, or off, at this stop.
