The food and wines were excellent but we noticed a real decline in the service over previous visits. Servers were slow getting wine, water & coffee to the tables. Our sparkling water order was forgotten. The servers didn’t explain the dishes as they were brought out.
I blame the additional tables squeezed into the space. The staff were just too busy. The gap between tables was tight and every time a server was dealing with the tables beside ours, we were pulling our glasses in to the middle of the table so they wouldn’t get bumped.
Using serving carts was a fun idea, but seemed to slow things down. The carts were sent out with one or two dishes that could have easily been carried out faster.
Having mentioned all that, the food was excellent and the chef was very interesting to talk to. We have dates booked rein the future and hope that this was just a one-off occurrence.
