The instructor embodied what every culinary teacher should be—not only remarkably knowledgeable but genuinely passionate about food and the fascinating science behind it. What made this class stand out was the perfect balance of hands-on learning and indulgent enjoyment. We weren’t just passive observers; we were active participants in creating an extraordinary French-inspired feast. The instructor guided us through several essential cooking techniques that any home chef would treasure knowing: the patience-requiring art of properly caramelizing onions, methods for enriching broths to develop complex flavors, and the delicate process of transforming simple sugar into a luxurious caramel sauce. Our culinary efforts culminated in an impressive menu that would rival many fine restaurants: • Rich French onion soup with perfectly melted cheese • Elegant beef tartare, expertly seasoned • Classic coq au vin, tender and flavorful • Sour cream ice cream paired with apples bathed in caramel sauce, all accompanied by flaky puff pastry Adding to the experience, we were treated to perfectly paired glasses of wine that complemented our creations beautifully. The collaborative atmosphere allowed everyone in the group to contribute to these dishes, creating not just a meal but a memorable shared experience. A special acknowledgment goes to Colin in the kitchen, whose behind-the-scenes work handling all the dishes was invaluable to the smooth operation of the class. I would enthusiastically recommend Stratford Chef School classes to anyone looking to elevate their culinary skills while enjoying an evening of exceptional food and company. Stratford chefs school open kitchen- Sourdough bread 🥖 I have attended my first class here. It was fantastic. From the first step till I left I had a great time. Chef 👨‍🍳 Eli was very good explaining all the process of making my own sourdough bread. They have many classes and covers a large topics. Lots to learn and have a great time with friends or by your self like me 😉

We visited for the Vegetarian Cooking Class and it was so fun! The chef was super helpful and really great at explaining why we were doing super steps / how it would affect the final dish. We learned new techniques, new recipes, and got to enjoy a delicious meal at the end! I would highly recommend trying the class, no matter your current comfort level in the kitchen!

While visiting the area we ordered a couple of the meal kits. The Charcuterie board was amazing quality and the amount of food was very generous. We also did the burger dinner which was good too. Simple preparation instructions, fresh ingredients and they share the recipes!

Kate and I had the Seinfeld take home dinner last night. It was the best meal we've had in a long time. We especially enjoyed the lobster bisque and the salad course. Wine pairings worked wonderfully, glad we ordered that! The roast chicken was perfect and more than ample -- we have left overs for another day. We'll be ordering again!

If I could attend all the student lab dinners, especially with guest chef alumni, I would. Anyone interested in the culinary arts and helping the next generation of up and coming chefs, needs to attend. You shan't be disappointed. For me, it is well worth the hour and a half drive.

What a great evening, enjoying the Italian Open Kitchen@Home meal. The video instructions are very helpful, and we learned new skills. Watching the techniques and preparation done beforehand was also very interesting and made us really appreciate the science, knowledge and professionalism that is part of a great meal. And, the meal was a sensory delight - so many delicious flavours, textures and colours. Thank you Chef Eli!
