Stratton Mountain

one time I accidentally ended up here and I tried to climb the mountain, and it was summertime so no one else was there at all. It was like a ghost town so I just climbed and climbed, and I was about halfway up the mountain and then it started to downpour so I sprinted down the muddy mountain and then drove back home to ct while soaking wet. Anyway it’s a cool place with a nice view. parking is easy peasy

My son and I visited for a single day trip. Plenty of time to explore the entire mountain. Very easy to navigate and super fast lifts and gondola.

Moderate climb with a fantastic view from the fire tower. The mountain looked much more difficult on the elevation charts, but due to the fantastically well built trail it was a fairly easy climb considering its size and steepness.

We visited the ski village and took a gondola ride to view the fall colors from 3,500’. The vistas were beautiful and worth the trip. The staff at the gondola were not helpful, bordering on useless. We generally know how ski lifts/gondolas load and unload but there was no direction or guidance given at all. Our tickets were scanned and then the staff person just walked away without speaking a word to us.

Stratton... Thank You for "Keeping the lights on til the bitter end" by having the Lettuce show on Monday of Labor Day Weekend. Love, love, love the fact that "you" never shy away from having events right up to "the last hour of the last night". Just like Minus Zero! And man do I miss that event.

went there over christmas with kids, stay in one of the condo, brought the private session for the kids lesson. i have been to a few ski resort with kids, this is by far the most organize in terms of lesson and how long the lesson is. the lesson is all day and includes lunch for the kids. other ski resort only have 2 hours lesson. we would definitely come back to this. love it.

We went to Stratton Mountain and arrived a day after our tickets’ date because I was sick, but they still let us in, which was really kind of them. Driving at night there was pretty challenging, though.

In an area that doesn't have much to do in the office season this is THE place to be. It opens early! Definitely visit the welcome center, collect the map and chat with the staff about things to do and what you are interested in. Ski lift to top of the mountain provided great views, cash only hot beverage & concession with a beautiful view to warm up. Was able to take a hike down to the fire tower. All staff was friendly, warm and happy to see us. They have souvenir shops.
