Came for a Christmas Concert by The Henry Hudson Regional High School A Cappella Choir. They accepted donations for the Atlantic Highlands Historical Society and local food pantry. It was a lovely evening with fabulous complimentary home baked goods and coffee/tea. A great way to spend the evening.

Wonderful example of late 19th century summer cottage (aka a, mansion). The Strauss family spent summers here. The Atlantic Highlands Historical Society has done a terrific job repairing, updating and replacing in this 150 year old residence. Photos are of the afternoon tea fundraisers held 2x a year jointly with the Highlands Historical Society.

If you like history, go. If you, " ghost hunt," you gotta add it to your list. Staff is extremely helpful, inviting, knowledgeable, and accomdating. It was a pleasure with some very cool experiences, but you'll have to see for yourselves.

I attended an outdoor show that the museum hosted, so my price for admission was probably higher than normal. That said the place is very interesting the staff is friendly they could definitely use help rebuilding an air conditioning unit that was retrofitted to fit a very old mansion and they need help putting on a new roof. But I enjoyed the place I really enjoyed the show and I will go back

An enjoyable and informative visit! Our docent was very knowledgeable. The Strauss Mansion is a gem undergoing painstaking renewal. The woodwork in the foyer is remarkable, as are the artifacts throughout the mansion. Be sure to venture to the top of the turret to take in breathtaking views of the town and the bay!

Beautiful 1893 "Queen Anne" style mansion of Adolf Strauss. Also houses the Atlantic Highlands Historical Society. Also known as "The Towers".

The chestnut wood entry is amazing. The views from the turret on the third floor are great. If you love victorian houses it is worth checking out.
