15 Best Golf Resorts in Florida

"A Central Florida destination about 65 miles from Tampa known for its multiple expansive courses (three full 18-hole layouts plus a fourth preview course opened in 2023 and an entertaining putting course). Accommodations at the Lodge or the Clubhouse are modern and stylish, and non-golf pursuits include a spa, an infinity pool overlooking the lake, bass fishing, archery, a sporting-clay course, and access to roughly 7,000 acres to explore." - Patricia Doherty Patricia Doherty Patricia Doherty is a writer who specializes in covering destinations, resorts, and cruises for Travel + Leisure and other publications. We had an incredible day at Streamsong! After an incredible picturesque round of golf, we grabbed lunch at Pub59 and everything was fantastic great atmosphere, friendly service, and food that really hit the spot after a round. Later that evening we dined at Canyon Lake Steakhouse and it was the highlight of the trip. It was truly an unforgettable experience. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the sides were flavorful and creative, and the service was topnotch. From start to finish, the experience was seamless golf, lunch, and dinner all exceeded expectations. Can’t wait to come back!

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but I just wanted to shout out Streamsong for the fantastic weekend I had (8/1-8/3). The grounds and hotel were great. The shuttles were always circling so you had super quick access to all three locations. Food was fantastic (at least better than I had expected based on seeing some other reviews). I found prices to be at least reasonable. The golf was exactly as advertised. I think what sets Streamsong apart from other places I have visited is the staff. Literally every single person we encountered seemed happy to engage with us. From the hotel front desk, the pro shops, down to the shuttle drivers and bag drop guys. Everyone was ready to help and attempted to provide the best service possible and actually seemed legitimately interested in our experience. You do not get that everywhere. It would be difficult to have a truly bad time at this property. If you do, you may need to take a quick glance in the mirror.

Top golf resort in Florida, full stop. All three championship courses are among the best in the state (full disclosure, I have not played all the courses in the state). They keep adding amenities but the golf and shooting are awesome. The caddies are tremendous and knowledgeable which is extremely important as the courses are not exactly what you see is what you get. Being on the right lines off the tee and from the fairway is just as important as on the green. Some shots may need to be 50 yards away from the target to hit your spot. I have had a few who weren't the best at reading greens but have not had a bad experience with them regarding course management and where to hit the ball. Listen to your caddies (except on the greens, use your best judgement with their recommendation). Facilities are fun, definitely a contemporary modern aesthetic which contrasts with the natural wild terrain in a wonderful way.

Words can't describe how beautiful the golf course plays. The resort has everything in mind for the golfer. Roof top bars are a great place to hang out and talk to other golfers about your experience. Great restaurants, spa, and if you want an outdoor experience they have guided fresh water fishing and archery. Definitely coming back.

Our group of eight friends just returned from a week at Streamsong. Everything about the experience was a 10 out of 10.||We played all three of the courses. They were different from each other in interesting ways, with the Red being our favorite because of the incredible vistas on several holes (and the extra wide fairways didn’t hurt). The courses are impeccably maintained, and very playable if you use the correct tees for your ability. Our caddies (Sam and Denver) were knowledgeable and helpful, with constant on-course advice and encouragement. They made each enjoyable round even better.||We thought the facilities were top notch. The rooms are modern, well equipped, and spotless. Housekeeping came every day without needing a special request. The food was varied (we ate at a different restaurant every night) and delicious. Portions were enormous.||The staff requires special mention. Every single staff member we encountered had the perfect combination of being professional, friendly and helpful (I cannot disagree more with the criticism in some recent reviews). Lizzie in Fin and Feather and Ivan (Blue/Red course ranger) deserve a special mention.||We’re already discussing a possible return trip next year.

I added a couple nights at Streamsong after visiting my mom in Orlando. Well worth it! While off the beaten path, the resort is gorgeous. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable. The golf courses were varied, challenging, well kept and fun to play. A great experience and hope to be back!

Google
The rooms were very nice (8.5/10), and the food very good (8/10), but be ready to pay more than is reasonable for basically everything. Value is certainly not the name of the game here. One of the caddies was telling us how much money the resort makes, almost bragging about it, and it became clear they prioritize profit over value for their customers. Maybe because it’s a destination and they’re truly not trying to get repeat customers? The service was OK, but varied widely by employee. For some reason, our group could not be served for over 30 minutes in a half empty restaurant during dinner time. Lack of staff was given as the reason, but they certainly had enough staff to serve us if they had cared to. The courses are nice (7/10), and we played them all, but not nearly nice enough to charge what they do for a greens fee and then require you to take a caddy on top of that. Have played many courses that are nicer courses at half the price, in more accessible locations. For quality of the actual courses (layout, condition, fun holes, etc.), I would rate Blue 8/10, Red 7/10, black 6.5/10, and the Chain 8/10 (mostly for being such a unique concept and there are some cool holes). From a value standpoint, all of them are well below 5/10. I’m glad I gave it a try, but won’t be back and would not recommend Streamsong unless you just want to say you tried it (while paying double what is reasonable for what you get).

I had a blast at this resort! We were a group of 32 guys and this place is like Disney for golfers and bass fishermen (I didn’t shoot at all so I can’t comment on those amenities). The food and drinks on the course were not only great but the prices weren’t astronomical! I had mentally tried to prepare myself for stadium/casino prices but my group was pleasantly surprised and relieved that the prices were in the realm of reality. Red, blue, and black, I enjoyed all 3 of these courses. Our caddies (Teeter [Taylor] and taller Taylor) were instrumental to our group. They knew the course, were able to hang with our banter, could tolerate our poor play at times, and provided green knowledge that were more than worth their fee. The only minor downside is the organization in the Red/Blue pro shop (the black is separate, no issues experienced there). Nothing drastic but it’s the only blemish we encountered during our time there. I’ll definitely play these courses again!

Yelp
Sterile, unfriendly, in the middle of nowhere. They are the first things that come to mind. The rooms are nice although a little corporate and lack character. Most of the staff are uninterested and in speaking to them seems a result of a corporate structure lacking creativity or passion which may be find for the variety of 80 year old male doctors visiting, but for a group of 25 younger to middle aged dudes from around the world spending a lot of money for a few day golf trip the actual resort doesnt have much to offer. A couple exceptions staff wise were Rose and the big bearded manager at the Fin and Feather and Joseph in the bar at the Black course. Most of our groups had an unpleasant experience with some guy, supposed Pro named Paul who at hole 11 or 12 rolled up and aggressively told us we were behind, with no prior warning, then when we thought he was coming back to apologize for his rudeness 5 minutes later, he again berated us telling us we were a hole or so behind. Again, this is not our first rodeo and there are ways to communicate and deal with this. He ruined many of our groups day, and trip. The golf courses, Red and Black, are nice, challenging, could use more signage as the bunkers and the paths look the same much of the time. The caddies it seems really are hit and miss, from over talking and opinionated which detracts from the experience, to totally not interested weed smoking with not much knowledge. At $100 per player would much rather a GPS in the carts which are standard low budget carts, and no caddie. Cart girl Kylie was sweet, but they had hell bailed up around the 10th parked under a roof which considering the course is full of groups of dudes wanting to have fun, she and the course could have added to the experience and earns tens of thousands more just by driving around and selling drinks. Weather is really hit and miss being inland Florida, so itll generally be warm, humid and rain and storms will be in and out, but the course and greens to drain really well. The food at the restaurant by the lobby is solid. Steak tacos and steak are great. Breakfast is pretty good. Shuttles are great, quick, golf club service good. Main problem with this place is being an hour away from any civilization and the post golf entertainment being very light. The bars upstairs could be great, but the room with the simulators has terrible piped corporate music the staff said they cannot change, the lights are bright and no atmosphere. The cocktail bar was better but needs more music, interested staff. The pool and jacuzzi area could be amazing with some speakers and music played around it and staff actually wandering, interested, servicing guests drinks and food rather than an uninterested grumpy lady sitting in the pool bar. Again, many ways to make this amazing. Needs new hospitality management to build an experience for folks to make the trip. Probably wouldn't recommend a stay there but if youre driving by, worth a play.

Yelp
WOW! Seriously something special here... the BEST destination golf resort in the east coast IMHO - and I've played and been everywhere continental U.S., add Hawaii and Puerto Rico. If in Canada, fine, look up Taboo, but they only have one golf course. Fire up the boys and get them out here to enjoy an incredible golfing experience. Fine, bring the ladies too; the underground caves Spa with multiple pools is unreal. They call the area BONE VALLEY - look it up. I've had a residence in Florida for 25 years and never knew of the history in central Florida. Look up Hernando de Soto who camped here in the 1500s. Crazy. They found Megalodon teeth on site when mining for phosphates that is now exhibited in the lobby. Resort Hotel is spectacular. The rooms are fantastic - the floor to ceiling wood louver doors are out of bounds. I had a large studio suite overlooking the pool facing west. The architect deserves an award. The roof deck has two separate bar options "gaming" or "sophisticated" lounging. Cigars welcome on the decks and they sell great brands if you forgot to plan ahead. Golf. Well, the golf like nothing I've played before. Need to play it to believe it. Our caddie, we were lucky to get paired with him, a Jamaican who knew his way around a course... Delroy Cambridge. Thank you for taking care is us. Restaurants. Ridiculous. Too many venues to review here and now honestly. The best was the steakhouse. I'd drive an hour to dine here. Two of us had the filet entree- the sauce was stupid, lobster escargot, chicken entree, two salads, service was wonderful (at all locations). Just go.

Yelp
Planned my birthday trip to Streamsong Resort and after seeing all the photos online the destination did not disappoint. While we were booked for (3) days, I was able to play the Red & Blue golf course. Rooms were clean and the entire resort immulates that of Bandon requiring everyone to get around on the shuttle bus. Golf courses were in fantastic condition and as a single player I was able to book early tee times and had a caddy both days. Wife & I enjoyed dinner at the steakhouse and the best part of the trip was heading over to the Black course clubhouse restaurant and having the Poke Bowl Nachos which are a MUST have when you travel to this resort. Overall experience was amazing and hope to one day go back and enjoy a boys golf trip!!

Yelp
Based on the previous reviews, I almost canceled our reservation for our wedding anniversary dinner. We are so glad we went. Had amazing service by Connor and it was nice speaking with Ira as well. With being fairly local, we will definitely come back again.

Yelp
Booked a four day golf outing for the first time. The lodge was very nice but definitely had some water issues at times during the day when you would be standing in the shower and it would just stop. Then a little later it would slowly start up again. Brutal. The rooms overlap were nice with a couch and plenty of tvs. All of the people working there and the restaurants were very helpful and pleasant. There is a lot to do at the property other than just golf. The shuttle service is great and we only had to wait a few minutes at each course or restaurant to get around. Clay pigeon shooting is a must to try while you are there. The pool was also nice and had plenty of seating. Definitely would come again.

Yelp
This place was fantastic! Sometimes destinations are hyped up and only lead to disappointment once you arrive. Wasn't the case here - all the hype was justified during our trip. We drove in and it's sort of in the middle of nowhere. Love that the resort isn't some behemoth structure, but rather more in line with the surroundings. Actually, upon approach thought the grounds were beautiful but the outside of the resort was kind of bleh. That perception certainly changed. Upon arriving, valet was outstanding. They were on top of it, friendly, helpful, personable. They were Ritz Carlton level service. Wish I could recall the name of the guy who helped us - he was awesome. The inside of the resort is actually quite contemporary. Often golf resorts have that old country club feel, but this is certainly more of a 30-40 something guy vibe and I liked it. Front desk staff was just as awesome as valet. They immediately stopped conversations with coworkers when we'd approach, were willing to help with anything. We arrived a bit early and they were able to get us a key before official check-in time, which we really appreciated. No pulling faces about how it wasn't actually time - they just handled it. Our room was nice - decorated smartly, a sleeve of branded Streamsong balls inside (nice touch!! should sell these in the gift shop too). The only negative on the room is the window from the bathroom into the bedroom. If someone gets up in the middle of the night & turns on the bathroom light, it shines into the entire sleeping area. Bad design. Tried out the fitness room - small to medium size but plenty of equipment and clean. Enjoying using it. Gift shop by the exercise room offered several high end quick grab gifts for guys that need to come back with something for the wife/kids. The grounds in general were awesome. A couple fire pits outside, some corn hole, some couches/comfy chairs. The pool was awesome! Infinity pool with no charge cabanas. Water was perfect temp. There's also a turf mat at the pool where you can buy a bag of fish food balls for $20 and try to hit them onto an island. They have clubs at the pool bar you can use. There's a nature trail/walking path that goes down past the pool and fishing area, around the lake and back to the main hotel. Easy walk and nice if you're taking a spouse looking for something to do. Check out the HUGE alligators in the water. Tennis courts were in good shape, although we didn't play, or see anybody else playing while we were there. Spa - would skip it. Didn't enjoy my spa time, but I let the resort know and management very quickly was ready to address it. That's impressive! I appreciate them being so responsive. Ate breakfast at Fin & Feather (was fine but buffet was meh) and Pub 59 (food was pretty good). Service at both was sub par for the resort. Had dinner at Bone Valley - enjoyed the ambiance with large glass windows. Meal was quite tasty, drinks delish and server was excellent. Really enjoyed the steak salad - thanks for offering that! The guys also grabbed some bbq at the halfway house and said it was tasty. Oh - shuttles are easy to grab between locations, nice/clean inside and friendly drivers. Kind of surprised they don't have a cigar bar - my other half said he'd like a cigar and scotch bar, just saying. As for golfing, it was outstanding! Predominately younger golfers as no carts allowed during our visit and it's impressive terrain to cover. Played the black and red courses. Preferred red - the landscape, hills, water. Staff was extremely attentive, again on par with any 5 star hotel. Beautiful courses, special, different, challenging but fun, remarkable pace of play, abundant wildlife with alligators that looked like dinosaurs, immaculately maintained. For guys who like to golf, this is the ultimate destination.

Nick L.

Yelp
We played all three courses as a family last year Christmas. The courses did not disappoint. We would recommend MJ and screech as caddies as they were amazing. All three courses were really special. We would recommend that you play all three.

Yelp
I got to play here this past May while my wife had some bridesmaid duties and I absolutely loved the place. I've had it on my golf bucket list for a while. I don't understand all the negative reviews towards any of the golf aspect. I played the Blue Course and thought highly enough of it that I added Streamsong back on my bucket list to eventually go back and play the Red and Black Courses too. I played with a father and son duo from Mexico City who were staying on resort and they had nothing but good things to say. They had a forecaddie booked and he was really awesome. The golf was great, the Blue Course was beautiful, and everyone that was part of the staff there seemed genuinely friendly. The tacos at their snack shack at the turn were beyond delicious too!

Yelp
We stayed at the resort, did not play golf. Golf was going to run about $400 per round.......not for me. We had a great dinner at Bone Valley Tavern. The pictures are accurate, I was prepared for a "bar" type diner. The food was top notch and very reasonably priced. Wonderful view, loved the sunset. The place is a boy's club. My wife was one of two ladies in the Tavern & bar. Same is true at the resort.........golf boys every where. Why not four or five stars???............probably the price for the resort. $600 for a room. It's in the middle of no where. They have a pool............but that's it.....it's not a resort. As you drive in.............there are no views of the courses. Part of the reason for the trip.............scope it out for a future golf outing. Probably will pass on a future trip. If you have $400 for golf, $600 for a room, plus airfare, plus shuttle......don't want anything else............might be a place for you.

Yelp
Gorgeous facilities, completely ruined by horrible customer service. Went on an annual golf trip with a group of guys and we have rotated places like Kiaeah,, Bandon and Pinehurst. Each of which were not only far and away superior when it came to the service you received for the price, but they would have likely fired employees that we ran into well at Streamsong. You are a good hour outside of Tampa, with very little around other than the resort... And they act like they know it! Rather than turn this into a rant, I will just say, there are a myriad of places to go and spend thousands of dollars with your friends to play golf that are better than this.

Yelp
I golf here occasionally, and drink more than occasionally. The restaurant/bar has some nachos that are absolutely ridiculous. Chunks of brisket about 2" square. Please, share them amongst two or three people. You CANNOT finish the brisket nachos. Absolutely recommended.
google avatar

Chloe P.

Yelp
The hotel is a modern contemporary style and fairly new the golf course is great and there are more than three it is in the middle of no where so it is a little hard to get to

Jodi B.

Yelp
Great golf, pool and food. Skip the spa. I had an 80 min massage booked. The therapist Traci wore latex gloves. Pulls your hair, rubbed my arm over head head, not/ any technique and very quickly, pulled a muscle in my neck by doing it. All that occurred in 8 min. I got up and left after the hair on my head got caught in the oil and latex and was pulled. At least they didn't charge me . Worse massage ever, even for 8 min.

Yelp
For a corporate event very nice. Peaceful and nobody is going to sneak into town. It's too far. Golf was outstanding and the sporting clays were challenging. Not a wives weekend get away. Too remote. Really wanted to try the fishing. Friendly staff.
google avatar

William K.

Yelp
Just golfed the blue course. Very nice course, no complaints, however, it was $399.00 plus we didn't bring clubs, $99.00, so I just payed $500.00 for a round of flat golf. Number 7 was bad ass but that's it!! Are you kidding me? $500.00 dollars to golf a sub par course, anyone that raves this place is out of their mind!!! What a ripoff!! And we got a caddie!! Another $75.00 each, caddie was worth it, he rocked!!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is incredibly cool. It has a modern somewhat European feel. The atmosphere is very cool. The problem started at check in. I was told my room was available and given a key. I went to the room and found it was still occupied. This is completely unacceptable. I went to the front desk and was told the computer system was having issues. If the computer system is having issues you have housekeeping clear and clean each room and then you keep track manually what rooms are available. I wanted to love this place, but they seem challenged. I was here for a corporate event and there were a few service issues with food. I wonder if the remote location of this resort impacts there ability to maintain appropriate level of staffing. I love golf, so I hope my company gives this place a second chance but not sure that it will. One other thing if you come here to stay and play golf beware you are most likely stuck with the onsite food options due to the resort being so remote.

Yelp
Spent three days here with a group of thirty on a corporate golf outing. Hotel is fantastic. New, great rooms that are spacious, modern and 5 star. The amenities are terrific as well. The lobby restaurant has a terrific breakfast buffet including an omelette station! Golf courses are all top notch and the caddies are good. A funky bunch of guys that make your round enjoyable and lighthearted. The golf practice facility is also great and don't miss the par 3 course. Fun and a great diversion. This is a remote location but well worth the trip!

Yelp
Recently spent 4 days here. The resort has great potential. Unfortunately the greens on the Red Course were unplayable and sadly the resort only notified us a couple of weeks before our arrival. The caddies mentioned that they knew about the situation much earlier. As an offset they discounted the greens fees but frankly, the discount wasn't appropriate. They should have shut down the course until it was up to it's standards. Also, others wrote about the cleanliness of the rooms. I found a bottle cap on the floor in my room next to my bed. Apparently the people cleaning the room do not vacuum between guest visits, because if they had they would have found it. I actually left it in place to see when they finally would take care of it. They never did. Finally, what is most frustrating is that I have completely paid my bill, yet Streamsong still has $3,200 of pending charges on my credit card two weeks after my departure. I have reached out to the resort to ask them to correct this with no response. Sometimes hotels will put a pending charge on your credit card until your bill is completed, and they usually come off in a few days. How is it possible that they can have this charge still on my card after two weeks? It is just baffling to me. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this resort. Save your money and go to Bandon Dunes.

Yelp
Hidden gem. Beautiful location. Amazing golf experience. Delicious food. modern and classy design. infinity Pool.

Benjamin C.

Yelp
Very solid stay and play resort. The golf and customer service is top notch. Super fun golf courses. The food is decent at best. Pretty pricey all in but definitely worth it. We had MJ and Wifi as our caddies for the weekend. Both were awesome. Phenomenal in all aspects. Highly recommend both of them.

Amy H.

Yelp
My husband and I just got back from playing the Red and Blue course at Streamsong and had a great weekend. The golf course is very challenging and it doesn't seem like you're in Florida with all of the hills and varied topography. We had a fabulous caddy named Eddie who gave us lots of advice to improve our game. He was great with picking clubs and was encouraging when we hit bad shots. Our room was very spacious and comfortable and we loved our food at Fin & Feather as well as the tacos on the Blue Course. All of the staff our extremely friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this resort - an unexpected gem in the middle of Florida!!

Yelp
Sorry but absolutely not worth the money. I have played municipal golf courses in much better condition than this place. I appreciate the location and the tranquility with exception to the other foursomes playing in front and behind us drinking and screaming all day. That's fine they payed their money also. I've traveled the country playing golf and this place just isn't worth the money in my opinion.

Yelp
What an amazing and hidden resort. If you like golf, spas, privacy, or are looking for an interesting place for a corporate meeting, this is definitely a place to put on your short list. The only challenge is finding this place as it really is located in the middle of nowhere and I had to check my GPS multiple times just to verify that I was not lost. Seriously, there is not even a gas station or anything for miles and this resorts just pops up from nowhere. Once on the property, there is a nice winding road to get to the resort and then - BAM, you see an absolutely beautiful hotel resort building that looks like it is out of Architecture Design magazine. There is valet parking up front, the staff is super friendly, and the design of this hotel is stunning. It is a very modern minimalist design that is super cool. The bedrooms are huge, has a really nice bathroom, cool wooden window shades, comfy bed, great television, and is a real pleasure to stay inside. The bars and restaurants are all top notch, the rooftop bar is stunning, the spa is UNREAL. They have at least 5 different whirpools with different temperatures ranging from 102 to 90 to 80 to an icy cold plunge pool. The colors and design are very impressive. The outdoor pool is a 4 sided infinity edge design, the grounds are perfect landscaped, there is an awesome lake view, and the architectural design is just stunning to walk around. The real star here is the Golf courses and they are all links design and very challenging. I did not play, but went to check them out. If you are serious about golf, you will LOVE this place.

Hitpreet K.

Yelp
I don't write too many reviews but I am compelled to write this one to educate the golfing community. Folks, you have a ton of better options to play golf in Florida. I am a FL resident and an avid golfer. Lot of golfers from the Northeast US and the Midwest make golf trips to FL during the winter time and this review is for you all those visitors. We want you to come to Florida and we love it of course when you do but avoid Streamsong like a plague. I played Streamsong recently and I will tell you that the courses at Streamsong are nothing to write home about. Apart from the golf itself here is a bizzarre story I will share. Before the round even started, without my approval they switched my clubs and moved all my clubs into another bag. I was shocked. Reason they gave me was that the other bag was easier for the caddie to carry. Who does that? I have my own way of setting everything in my bag and without my permission they moved all my clubs to another bag. Moreover the caddies here are not good at all. I have played at a lot of courses around the globe where you get a caddie but this is by far the worst caddie place I have experienced. You are forced to get a caddie who carries your bag but they don't do anything that you expect from a caddie. We all can get distances with our instruments but the caddie is supposed to tell you the nuances of the course and also read the greens. At Streamsong the caddies have no clue. The one I was assigned was drunk at 11 AM when we started the round. I could smell his liquor breath from 5 feet away. This is not what you expect from a $500 round. I want to spread the word in the golfing community through reviews on various sites and also through word of mouth. Take your money to a better place where you get the value and can have much more fun.

George M.

Yelp
The worst golf trip of my life. I've been on over 100 guys golf trips and this was.the first one where they wouldn't serve us in the bar after the round. Instead, they had big goons standing behind us with ear pieces in intimidating us with nasty stares. All this in spite of the fact we were all staying there and had no intentions of leaving. Save your money and go play Kohler, Bandon Dunes, Pebble/Spyglass. Anywhere but this dump

Yelp
Absolutely top notch resort which caters to golfers....it truly is Golf in the Kingdom!! I visited Streamsong with my wife as a bit of a scouting mission for an upcoming guys trip in Feb/March. GOLF - First, let me start with talking about the golf courses. Red, Black, Blue, doesn't really matter which one you choose, because each one it simply better than the next and there was not a SINGLE hole that was a poor hole. Stunning vistas all over the place, but you do need to bring your "A" game, because these courses do not suffer fools or hackers lightly LOL. My only concern here is with the greens, because not only are the undulations insane, but I believe the greenskeepers need to tone it done a bit in terms of speed of the greens. Augusta plays about a 14/15 on the stimpmeter which is lightening fast, but the greens on ALL the courses at Streamsong felt faster than that. You could literally have a 10 foot putt, and take the putter back just enough to get the ball started and then end up 10-15 feet past the hole! And this was true for all of us in the group, and kinda took away from how great the golf courses are and heard the same from a few of the groups at the bar after our rounds each day. The price of caddies at Streamsong needs to reconsidered and a bit of haziness on how much tip to give. Basically the cost of a caddie for 2 people is in the range of $260-300, which is damn spendy! Stated price is $90 pp plus tip, but tipping seems to be all over the place here. I played with one group who said anything less than $300 for 2 golfers is not great and others who tipped about $240. I'm very familiar with tipping at high end golf courses and resorts but $300 for 2 players is a bit rich even for my blood. Also need to have more toilets on the course! Not a huge issue for men for obvious reasons (LOL), but for women, a true test of bladder control going on here! Hotel Rooms; just SUPERB. Large and well appointed rooms. We ended up with a 2 bedroom suite which was huge. A couple suggestions: need more drawer space (only had 2 drawers for 2 bedrooms!) Also, would have appreciated more waters in the room each day. My own personal pet peeve would be to have a shower with an actual shower door that closes versus the open style shower. I love a very hot shower after my golf but that was nearly impossible with half the door open each time I showered. Restaurants: we ate at every restaurant on the property and I would have to rate them as "good" not "great". So basically, we did not have any meals that I would return, but food was just OK at each of the restaurants. Staff need some hospitality retraining though, because each night we ran into a service issue. Bone Valley...as crazy as it sounds, we quite literally got attacked by hundreds of mosquitos and couldn't finish our meal at BVT. Look, mosquitos are attracted to light and yet they have the outdoor lights on all night long. Then the constant in and out of golfers using the Gauntlet putting green coming in and out all night long and you have a millions mosquitos now invading the place. I would strongly suggest that management a) turn off all outside lights (no need for them anyway) and b) lock the door at the bar side of the Gauntlet so that golfers have to come through the main entrance by the pro shop. This was truly a downer of a night to have to get all bitten up and it was quite literally hundreds of mosquitos. Spa - I decided to get a foot massage and it was a BIG disappointment. First, you pay $90 (after tax and service fee) for a whopping 25 min massage which is outrageous to begin with. Then the massage basically consisted of the masseuse wrapping my feet with hot towels and putting some cream on them and then said, "thanks, hope that was OK for you"!. WHAT??!! What about the foot massage?? I then say I would like to use the jacuzzi and they say "its too late and we close shortly." I say no problem, I will come tomorrow. They say "sorry, you can only do the jacuzzi on the day of your treatment". UNREAL. Cmon guys, the jacuzzis should be open to ALL guests at all times the spa is open. A very kind front desk gentleman took care of things for me, so I was ultimately able to use the jacuzzi but I hate fighting for things that should be easy or expected at a high end resort. Overall, and in spite of some issues, I love Streamsong and hence the 5 star rating because in the end, its all about the golf. As a side, note, I met the GM of Streamsong who was very engaging and a complete gentleman. I will be coming back with a group of friends in another 2 months and looking forward to that! One final note: Streamsong management should be aware that someone is selling new Red, Black and Blue scorecards on EBay. Obvious one of your employees are stealing cards and then selling on eBay which is theft and prob should find out who that is.

Yelp
If I could give a 0 star I would have. The Streamsong resort management has "left the house" The facility as a whole is dirty. They have used Covid as an excuse to cut basic services. They no longer come in the rooms to make beds or clean unless requested. I asked for them to change out our towels while we were at dinner and they dropped a bag of towels inside the door. They didn't even take our used towels away. The hallways had grass and leaves everywhere. The lobby area had bits of trash on the wood floors and a horribly stained carpet. But the crowning glory was it took them 35 minutes to bring up our car through the valet. They mistagged our keys and left us standing as they took care of 20 people ahead of us. The only reason we got the car at 35 minutes was we finally insisted they take us to the parking lot to identify the car. We asked for a manager at the 20 minute mark and we were informed there was no manager present. All in all a miserable experience. Save yourself some serious frustration and go to Kohler or Scottsdale.

Yelp
On paper, Streamsong sets up to be a great concept. In practice, there's much to be desired. The bottom line is that Streamsong's value is poor. Nice courses situated in the middle of nowhere, Florida with virtually nothing else to do. As Florida residents, I met a couple of friends there for two days. Our conclusion was that Streamsong is a bad deal. Golf is expensive, rooms are expensive and food and drink are expensive. We agreed to meet at Bay Hill next time. The course is better, the lodging is cheaper and being near Orlando, the nightlife runs circles around Streamsong. If money isn't an issue, try it once. If it is an issue, you're not missing anything here.

Yelp
When you pay $600+ per night, you should get great internet/wifi connectivity. The Wifi connectivity was piss poor. Hard to connect to wifi, and once connected it was so slow that ookla speedtest timed out. Totally overpriced.

Yelp
This resort has a lot of amenities for stressed business person to relax and regroup. It's the perfect place to get away from the daily hustle and bustle. The people there are very attentive to your needs and are very helpful. There wasn't one person with a poor attitude at all. Every worker there knows your name and always asks about your day The views on the golf course are awesome and they are much better than the flat courses in south florida. Also you can watch the sunset from the rooftop bar while having a delicious cocktail. I highly recommend this place if you're looking to get away and relax.

Yelp
Unlike any Florida golf course I have experienced, Streamsong is a unique and beautiful golf destination. This really is a destination golf resort as its not close to anything, but is within an hour or so driving distance of Tampa. The lodge and clubhouse are magnificent and comfortable. Set on the site of an old phosphate mine, Streamsong has hills and elevation changes that are unique for this part of the country. I played the red course and found it plenty challenging. If recommend a caddy. While I didn't have one, we did have a caddy in our group and he offered a few helpful tips. I tipped also to return the favor. The course is long and demanding but the layout is gorgeous. Stay in the fairway though or you'll pay a price. There is a barbecue shack that is an absolute oasis at the turn with cold drinks and smoked meat. It was 90 degrees and felt like 90% humidity when I played, which really took it out of this Seattleite. I was pleased to see lots of drinking water on the course which made the round a little more enjoyable. They continue to build new golf courses here so in a few years there will be multiple 18's to play. Put it on your wish list. It's worth a trip.

Yelp
I chose this resort for my boyfriend as a Christmas gift. He loves golf and they offer two unique courses. They are in the process of building a third. The room was beautiful! I've never seen a room so large and designed so well. The bathroom was also very large. There was a refrigerator in the room that you could use to put your own items in- not the kind that's already filled and if you touch anything you automatically get charged. There was a double sided TV of sorts where you could watch TV from the couch or from bed. The bed was comfortable I believe they had down pillows. My only complaint about the bathroom is the open door design of the shower. I realize this is a design trend now but I prefer to be able to shut the door and enjoy a warm steamy shower. The golf course requires you to have a caddy. This is about $50 more plus tip. You cannot play the course without one, this is their rule. From what I understand both courses are beautiful. The blue offering higher dunes but wider course and more forgiving. Where the red was less forgiving on your driver but easier on your putting game. The spa was small but pretty. They have several small pools at different temperatures. They have an insect problem. There were ants in most of the pools and on the tiles. I forgot my bathing suit and they only had large one pieces in their shop. They also offer a steam room and sauna. The massage treatment rooms are directly on the spa floor. The spa is cave like and echoes quite a bit I can't imagine how loud it would be in the treatment room if there were a lot of women in the spa. Luckily for me I was the only person there. The massage I had was really good but expensive. $160 plus tax and tip for 50 minutes. We had dinner at the Italian restaurant and the food was ok. The restaurant was completely empty. Streamsong is located in central Florida. It's very secluded and you literally drive through fields on corn on the way there. There appears to be little to no civilization on the way. I would suggest filling up on gas, getting your tires checked, pack snacks and taking a restroom break while you can. We drove from delray beach florida to streamsong about 3hrs and a lot of rural driving. Then streamsong to Orlando which was about 1.5 hrs and mostly highway which was nice. Lakeland is about 40minutes away and tampa about 1-1.5 hours. This is a great place for a bachelor party or men's getaway. Besides the spa there is very little for women to do unless they play golf. They offer shooting and fishing trips. There are no close malls or movies theatres. They have so much land at the resort they could really benefit from adding more options for women. We would've stayed longer if there were more options for me other than sitting in the hotel room. Most people don't want to pay to go to the spa every day and the spa doesn't offer much. They could offer cooking classes during the day at the restaurants that are closed, free transportation to Lakeland mall etc.

Yelp
There are two big components of this so will do the hotel and three golf course review separately. We played the Blue, red and Black courses on three separate days. Hotel: for the price, amazing value. Rooms are all very new and bathroom and beds are great. Staff was super nice and very accommodating (allowed 2pm checkout and was very nice about it). Food: we went to bar 59, Italian restaurant at the lodge and the bar at the Black course. All are nice but I would avoid bar 59 since portions are very small for the price (food is really good though). Best food is at the Italian restaurant on the lodge hotel property but also the most expensive. Golf: I played with another scratch golfer and we walked and carried our bags for all three days. Even though it was in the summer, it was manageable with lots of water. The staff at the blue and red course (talking about rangers) was much nicer than at Black. Much more positive and made sure to meet us on at least every three holes. Black pro staff was super nice as well but bar staff and Marshalls were not as nice at Black. Hard to say why, but they only came up to us every 8 holes or so with water etc. If you can just play one course, would recommend the black or Red ( buy yardage book if not using caddy for black). Only criticism bedsides marshals on black would be nice if the resort had newspapers for the guests and didn't have to pay 20 to use the spa.

Yelp
I stayed at this resort for 5 days for work. Outside of room service, the overall service at this hotel is terrible. I literally was hung up on multiple times while trying to contact the front desk with a question about my bill after spending thousands of dollars there for the week. I was also charged for laundry service I didn't ask for. Unbelievable! I'd give 0 stars if possible. If you're into golf, go for it. Otherwise stay far away.

Yelp
They are absolute thieves here. Been to Golf resorts the last 28 years in US and Europe. Great courses but the management here will nickel and dime you for at least a thousand more for garbage. The brand here has been destroyed by their pettiness. Welcome to streamsong. 808 dollars for your three night stay for incidentals. Welcome to streamsong. 4 burgers for room service - 130 bucks. And your medium is raw. Welcome to streamsong. You have ten guys playing golf? Our manager says we charge an additional 5 bucks a day apiece for an outing charge. On top of 37 bucks a person for a golf cart. Welcome to streamsong. You paid for three of your crews carts? They will have a muscleman come to the first tee and challenge that each of your people didn't pay for carts. Welcome to streamsong. Your breakfast order will be no less than 30 minutes. Welcome to streamsong. Happen to have a tee time at 730 or 830? We will have you wait 29 minutes for a shuttle. Want a pack of nabs? 7 bucks. Welcome to streamsong. Your package included a repeat round? Well they don't care unless you show the email that says so. Pay or don't play. We showed them the email they were copied on. Celebrate failure I suppose. Never be here again and will do best to share the darkness and utter greed of the management crew here.

Yelp
Beautiful golf resort in central Florida, great place for a getaway because there's nothing around for miles. The resort was built on a phosphate mining operation using stone, wood and glass and has excellent dining options and one of the most interesting golf courses in Florida - the terrain is hilly and sandy and although the lack of trees means there's not a lot of shade, it also means you don't lose too many balls. The caddy nicknamed Wi-Fi was professional and funny but the caddy Mike lacked a love of the game and it seemed that he didn't really want to be there. Aside from that, StreamSong really delivers for a golf weekend getaway. The blue course was our favorite, it's stunning.

Yelp
This place is a rip-off. The rooms are adequate for a high end resort but we had no WiFi in the room. I thought the staff was average for a high end resort. That is where the niceties end. The golf was very average and super expensive. Add in the cart fee to the caddie and add the greens fee, you are around $300. The courses are pretty for Florida only. The greens are really tricked up. I am a good putter and averaged 5 three putts a round. Moguls are better on ski slopes. Koehler, Pinehurst, Pebble, Arizona are way better and all but Pebble, less expensive. The food ranged from below average to acceptable but way, way overpriced. But, they have you captive. Just avoid 59 and you will not feel that violated. Skip this place. It deserves to be avoided.

Yelp
Amazing views, gorgeously decorated and designed interiors, & very nice staff! What else can you ask for? Nothing! 5 stars all the way! You can golf, lay out at the pool, go to the spa, archery, clay shooting... the list goes on and on! This place screams luxe and relaxation the minute you drive onto their 16,000 acres! Will be back!

Yelp
Stayed here for a weekend conference. I've stayed in Ritz Carlton, Waldorf Astoria and Four Seasons properties and this place impressed me more than any other. The architecture is inspiring, designed to maximize views from every possible vantage point. Uniquely designed spacious rooms and comfy beds are perfectly appointed. The food is incredible, and the personalized service makes every moment ideal. For a company or association conference, you couldn't make a better choice.

Yelp
Summary: This is a tough review because they did get a few things right, and then so much wrong...went there with a group of golf buddies that I've been to Ireland, Bandon Dunes, Kohler, and many other golf destinations. Let's start by saying this doesn't even belong on that list. The courses are nice enough, especially for Florida, and a shout out to "BD", the best caddie this side of the Atlantic. The rooms and facility were new and first class. But I could not recommend this place until they get some basics down, like realizing there are guests, and acting mildly interested in their needs helps - maybe just a little? What they did right: -Food: We did the "stay and play" package that included breakfast. Impressive that you could order anything you wanted off the menu, even though there was a buffet, and whatever you wanted was included in the voucher. "59" at the course had incredible lunch and the service there was good. Overall excellent quality of food! What they really need to improve: -Upon arrival we unloaded our vehicle, clubs, bags, etc., loaded onto the carts - you know - the carts the guys that help you load and take to your room? And pushed them to our room. We walk right past the front desk, checked in, and continued to push our carts. We didn't mind this but wondered why nobody even offered to help or do this for us? It was an omen of things to come... -After the first day of waiting 20-30 minutes for our breakfast, even though there were few guests, we beat the system the next few days by a few of us going early and ordering for all. Should this ever have to happen? Our last day we were the only diners and it still took 30 mins. -The wait staff at the main hotel were not only slow, they gave you the impression you were bothering them. Not good. -On the 2nd night a typical Florida storm blew through and took out the electricity to the entire resort. Not an issue, the backup generators kicked on to light the hallways. Nothing else, just the hallways. We left the room to head down to the bar / restaurant that surely must be powered by the generators (the building is only 3 years old). There were a few lights in this common area, and now the rude wait-staff was in full "you're lucky I'm even talking to you" mode. We dined on breadsticks and drinks until we asked "don't you have anything like lunchmeat or something you don't have to cook?" They said we could get smoked salmon. Weird. So we had four plates of smoked salmon with breadsticks. Note they didn't suggest this - was had to ask "what's in the fridge that's edible? Just a strange situation overall. And the next morning there is no mention of it from anyone. What's impossible to improve: -Logistics - the golf course is a 10 minute shuttle ride away although it seemed further because there was never a shuttle ready. We joked about writing the management and suggesting "why not keep one shuttle ready at your TWO locations". It's really not that complex. If became a joke - but why did it have to be - this is such an easy fix. Oh - once at the course, you need to (wait for it) SHUTTLE TO THE DRIVING RANGE. Whoever laid this out must have also designed the backup generator system. -Where are we? This place is in the middle of nowhere so you're stuck on property or can drive 30 minutes to Lakeland which did have a few nice places and sports bars. -"It's 95 out again but it's a wet heat". I've concluded golf in Florida is clearly meant to be from November to March...our fault for coming in September. To summarize, I wouldn't return unless I had a work event there, and would be fired for not attending, and really liked my job. There are too many other golf destinations with better courses and certainly better customer service!

Yelp
Upon arrival at Streamsong resort we were greeted by Janessa at the front desk! She was warm, delightful and professional!! She went out of her way to make sure that we knew that she would go above and beyond to make our stay special! Janessa is a fabulous symbol of a wonderful resort!! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Very very very disappointing. They employ an external booking agency which just botches reservations. Then when you realize you haven't been sent confirmation numbers, you call to follow up. This becomes a 4 day process to correct THEIR error and lack of professionalism. Then you are re-routed to departments who treat you as if you are caller number 242 at the DMV. Then they continue to botch golf reservations after you've spent 4 days of giving them more information than the IRS, for them to still get it wrong. Covid is not the culprit. Their bad staff is. Jacob in reservations is an exception I must say- poor guy has to pull the weight for everyone else. Golf shop has attitudes and the recreation department the same. They say they are a "Resort"- you get better service at EconoLodge. I would say enjoy your stay but it may be better to wish you "Good luck"

Yelp
Played golf for two days. The red course was great but it was a real factory in getting to and from the practice facility. The Black course has tricked up greens but less crowded. The hotel was average. Rated as luxury but less than Marriott service. Our room wasn't ready until 5:30pm. Housekeeping doesn't come until 5pm. Then it is just a quick make of the bed and refresh towels. Great for guys looking for a fun time of playing golf and comradely. Not so great for couples looking for more than golf. The place is in the middle of nowhere, so help might be difficult to get.

Yelp
The golf is amazing, incredible, unique. I went down in February with 15 other guys, and it was a trip to remember for sure. When I returned, I told everyone I knew that it's like a Bandon Dunes, but on the east coast with potentially better weather. The resort itself was amazing too. Comfortable rooms and good service/food. HOWEVER, we have returned (after settling up upon our departure) and almost all of the 16 guys who attended have been hit with bogus credit card charges. Bogus charges ranging from $800 to more than $1000. Charges that were keyed in...indicating that something is shady. Each of us have called down to dispute charges and it has been a true hassle. It wasn't a cheap trip to begin with, and these fraudulent charges are ridiculous. It's a real shame that such a beautiful resort is tarnished by such shady practices. I will never return, I will tell everyone I know to never go there, and if you're planning on going, either pay in cash, so they can't screw you, or get a new credit card number upon leaving. Criminals...

Yelp
The service was terrible pretty much across the board. I visited the resort for a conference and my firm had to call FOUR times to make my reservation under the group rate. My room was prepaid by my firm, but that didn't stop Streamsong from charging my debit card $570 (over $120 in excess of my final bill, including the prepaid amount for the room), which I didn't notice until the day after I returned home. Upon calling the resort to find out why I was being charged, I was told that they placed a hold on my card (which I was told would only be used if I incurred incidentals) that wouldn't be released for another few days. The food and drinks were unremarkable except for how expensive they were. The bartender at the restaurant/bar, who had very little to do when I stopped by, was aloof, entered the wrong food order, and did not give me napkins, silverware or condiments to go with my sandwich. The rooms are spacious and pretty and the valet and maid were very nice, but otherwise there was little about my stay that was positive.

Yelp
Streamsong Red 11/29/2017 Tuesday afternoon. $251.45 greens fee/cart...mandatory fore caddie $40+$10. entire foursome thought course OK but not memorable...no return trip. greens sanded down with no before play notice or consideration. caddie rode back of cart entire round, could not read his GPS (he guessed at yardage)...greens knowledge minimal...made top 5 worse caddie list. Half-way house closed early...course does not return to clubhouse after #9...parched...sent caddie to reopen...4 cocktails/4 subpar tips sandwiches $150. Cocktails after round @ Fragmentary Blue...expensive...short pours. Dinner @ Sottoterra food/service terrific...saved the day. Valet returned our vehicles at dusk with windows open allowing clouds of some local flying insects that ate us up. NuWayRay

Yelp
6 Months have now passed and I've been quiet on the subject because after the entire groups Social Media attack we were met by Director of Marketing Thomas Parke at our Golf Club this past April. At the time it was a sincere apology to the complete breakdown of the resort and specifically the food & Beverage issue that forced us to write such a scalding review. Mr. Parke indicated he would like to have us all back as his guests when it was convenient for everyone to return. You can't ask for something more than that as we were not lobbying for a free trip but the fact remains it was offered and we accepted. Fast forward 6 months and we notify Mr. Parke of our desire to return on November 8th for 1 evening and 2 rounds of golf. This is the Response. "The Lodge guestroom for Grande Oaks will be $189+tax per room per night; our normal price for this time period is $299. The golf is based on the members using a golf cart for 18-holes @ $115+tax per player per round; our public rate is $145. I have Streamsong Red reserved on 11/8 at 11:15a and Streamsong Blue reserved on 11/9 at 11:10a. I am providing breakfast on 11/9 on a complimentary basis (full breakfast from the menu at either P2O5 at the Lodge or Restaurant Fifty-Nine at the Clubhouse) and well as the special pricing for room as my gesture of thanks to Grande Oaks' members. Further, I have reserved the Cork Room on 11/9 at 7pm for the entire group. If you would like a special menu prepared, I can arrange this as well. Hope you find everything to everyone's liking. Best regards, Thomas Parke In Short we went from being invited back as his guests to a return visit with a small discount on our rooms and small discount on golf with free breakfast. I don't know weather to laugh or be so appalled at the audacity of such an offer after being invited up free of charge in April. I guess a few months and they think we will forget or perhaps season is rolling in now and it is no longer cost effective. Just another reason to avoid this place at all costs. A complete an epic failure has now turned into a running joke. AVOID!!!!!!
