Wowee! Visiting from the mainland and was blown away by this place! Band was cranking, food was everywhere with such a range of choices and beer/gin flowing. Atmosphere was electric.

Came here with a large group of friends on a Friday night and it was the perfect choice! There were so many food choices and we all enjoyed trying each others’ picks. The prices varied, there were some cheaper options as well as more expensive. They had live music and we all danced to it after eating. It was a lovely way to spend an evening. (It’s also hyper-local and zero waste!)

The paella was amazing, the best I've had actually. I feel as tho the general seafood you get here is very high quality. May need to line up for a bit is the unfortunate reality so make sure you grab a friend or speak with the friendly locals :)

Great choices for all appetites! Love how it’s a ‘no waste’ event and everything comes in compostable packaging. Band was great and it drew such a friendly crowd. Sweet tooth highlight: Brownie Cheesecake.

Loved the squid ink paella ❤️ I would definitely go back for it. Also had a grilled octopus stick which was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend a visit to this market, plenty of food options for everyone!

Yelp
Franko night market started just in time for summer in Hobart and I am here. For. This. Market. It's a new venture for the crew behind the Farm Gate Market, so I shouldn't really be surprised that I'm into it, because we all know I'm a Farm Gate fanatic--when I can get out of bed early enough. Which isn't often. And now I don't have to, because of the night market? Am I in heaven? It's not all the same stalls, of course--no fruit and veg or fresh produce like you get at Farm Gate, all just booze and ready to eat food. I have yet to go past the Pad Thai from the thai street food stall, despite their ridiculous queue process (line up forever to order, then wait another 15-30 for your fresh meal; I honestly think I waited longer to order than I did to pick my food up on my most recent visit). I have also yet to go past the Spirit People cocktail stall, despite their silly pricing (I am weak, ok, I see cocktail I must cocktail). Ask any local who's been to Franko and they'll have their own must-get item to recommend you. Here you go, you've already got mine. See you there.
