On the Grid : KARAVÁN

"The first – but not last – street-food court in town gives off festival-like vibes due to its nature as a community garden. Two rows of food trucks serve up a pretty impressive selection to choose from: juicy burgers, cheese soups spiced up with bacon, additive-free artisanal popsicles served during summertime, vegan wraps and pastas, and even get coffee prepared in a Vespa-like vehicle. This convoy stands in one place all year long to serve the needs of hungry urban wanderers." - We Love Budapest

It is a great place, tho it seemed way too crowded on other days we passed by. It is a place with multiple food truck style restaurants. We had: 1) Langos Burger Great concept and a very impressive-looking dish. The lángos “bun” itself was amazing, but the meat and sauce were only average — similar to a mid-level burger place. Considering the price, it might be skippable, though it’s definitely a niche dish you don’t see everywhere. 2) Crunchy Chicken Good chicken fingers with a nice blue cheese sauce. Solid quality, but nothing particularly memorable.

The avocado bowl was extremely tasty, slightly spicy, and the meat was crispy. The wings were also delicious, but the sauce wasn't really that great. The cocktails we drank were also good. The atmosphere was cool and fun. Overall, it was something different and I definitely recommend it. We will definitely be back!

A street food extravaganza - lots of outlets, to cater for most tastes. We went for traditional Hungarian - very tasty. Outside seating, with limited patio heaters - prepare yourself if it's cold. Highly recommended.

Karaván Street Food is an essential stop in Budapest! This lively spot features numerous food trucks offering delicious street food. The place truly has a special, vibrant atmosphere, always bustling with cheerful people having a great time. We found the food to be absolutely excellent. It's the perfect mix of great eats and fantastic social energy. Highly recommended!

Nice atmosphere. A little pricy for some of the dishes, but the food was good. A few of the places have clearly marked gluten free options, though likely not totally safe from cross contamination if you’re super sensitive.

Tucked away in a small street, the atmosphere is lively and filled with joy. Food choices are mostly fried dishes, easy to grab. We ordered a dish with special request but the staff didn’t understand fully, they gave us the wrong order but it’s not serious. Came in the evening in late Nov so it was quite cold and there were limited seatings next to the fire poles. Toilets available.

It is beautiful, it is a nice place to take some pictures .... But there's absolutely no need to go eat there !!! Food is not bad, but it's waaaaaay to expensive and the portion are kind of small. On top of that, there's noting hungarian about this place, and you will not see a single local hungarian go there ! And there's a reason, it's only for tourists who are ok with paying bunch of money for something just average.... My recommendation is go there tale some nice pics and go eat somewhere else

Very nice Street Food alley, with loads of seating at the back. Nice cocktails (a little pricy), and good portions of food (the Nachos were amazing, full of vegetables!) The vibe was really nice - perfect for a fun date or a meeting with friends.
