Greenmarket Fixture Rick Bishop Retires

"A restaurant whose breakout-hit potato-chip salad relied on a specific farmer’s potato chips as a secret ingredient; the kitchen is now scrambling to source a replacement after the grower announced his retirement, calling the loss a genuine crisis for that signature dish." - Chris Crowley

Nick Morgenstern Debuts Dairy-Free Soft Serve at Bananas

"At a new pizzeria from Wylie Dufresne, a banana-based soft serve arrives as a nostalgic-but-playful dessert, paired with babka crumbs and a peanut-butter “magic shell” that adds crunchy, confection-like texture to the frozen banana base." - Tammie Teclemariam

I attend Orangetheory and recently had the pleasure of experiencing a stretch session for the first time with Mauricio. From the moment it began, I could feel the blood flowing throughout my body, especially along my IT band. It was an incredibly refreshing and energizing experience. I’m already looking forward to booking a full one-hour session here in the near future to enjoy the complete benefits. Highly recommend!

This was my second session with Mauricio at Stretch Lab. He is so amazing ! Love that he has a background on ballet and Yoga, that makes me feel that he really understands how to push or retreat on different body muscles. Very knowledgeable, and helped me pay attention where I may have unbalanced flexibility through out the body. The next day it feels like you had a workout class, or a deep tissue massage. Highly recommend the stretching sessions with Mauricio 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🙏🏽

Don’t recommend their memberships but if you get one make sure to read the small print and start with the lowest one available despite their recommendation. Therapists availability is very limited compared to other studios. A solid three star studio when paying for sessions individually. Highly recommend Fatima.

Both Devin & Juan were extremely knowledgeable and helpful during my first session. Juan took the time to explain the process and walked me through my stretching routine, always being attentive & explaining what to expect. I’ll be back again soon !

As someone who spends a lot of time at a desk but also stays active with regular gym sessions and running, I’ve come to realize how essential stretching is for overall wellness—especially as we get older. My experience with StretchLab has been excellent. I’ve noticed a real difference in how much tension I carry and how much better I feel after each session. Huge shout-out to Alex for making every visit so effective and enjoyable. I always walk out feeling 10 times better. Highly recommend!

Beware of fraudulent billing practices. I canceled my membership and provided written notice due to a medical condition (a herniated disc). Despite clear communication and zero appointments scheduled, this business continued to charge my credit card without my authorization. They falsely froze my account instead of canceling it—something I never requested—just to keep charging me. When I asked for a refund for the services never rendered, they refused. I’ve had to escalate the issue to my credit card company and am considering legal action. If you value honest and ethical business practices, I strongly recommend staying away from this place. There is a place a block away that offered far better services for half the price!!!

Great solution for tight and stiff muscles. Sometimes even better than a massage. Juan is great! Highly recommend A session with him

Yelp
06/12/2024 post date This review is from four to six months ago. I forgot to finish and post. Hopefully, the comfort and space issues are much better as well as the stretcher's focus on customers. This studio was super small-a little uncomfortable. It was overcrowded with different machines for other therapies. I asked the stretcher about the crowdiness of the studio and was told the studio was going to be expanded but only to add other services only. She did not speak about the space for the stretching being expanded. Although the stretch was great and much needed, I think it would have been even better if the stretch table had straps to restrict the body from moving, and also if there was more space between the tables. After the stretch, the stretcher asked me how I felt, but she did not inquire about another visit, speak about memberships or about me potentially signing up. This was due to, I believe, a familiar guest that walked in, and the stretcher was no longer focusing on me. I was disappointed and just walked out. Also, there was no seating during my appointment; three people stood around after they received some type of service.
