On the Grid : Strobi

"Strobi ("Bistro" reversed, creative isn't it?) is the little neighborhood bistro that was missing in the street. It has quickly seduced the neighboors with an ideal concept: A formula “Gourmet” for the small appetites, and a formula “Gourmand” for the bigger ones. The menu changes every month with fifty references of wines. At Strobi, we chill in the sofas in front of a bay window that fully open during sunny days. Sunday brunches are a tradition in the neighborhood. The kitchen here is simple, honnest and very tasty. Strobi is a place where it feels good to be." - Brand Brothers

We had a good time with my colleagues yesterday. French restaurant with friendly service, nice food. The tables are quite tiny so we always bump into each other but it’s a common problem in Paris. I tried a cockerel, it was a bit dry. The team found a gluten free option for my dessert, kudos for that!

Great food, very friendly service, and fair prices. We had chicken, fish, and salad – everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!

The restaurant was recommended by the hotel we stayed in and it didn’t disappoint. The quality of food was excellent, the dishes had interesting combination of flavours, the service was attentive and friendly. I liked the concept of the same dish served in “small plate” and dinner size, it gave us an opportunity to try wider selection.

Great spot. The food was excellent and the restaurant has a cool vibe. My braised pork cheeks was soooo good. The large side of house fries was more than the 4 of us could eat!

Google
Amazing small bistro with a great way of tasting dishes. The menu is small (quality proof you know it) but with 2 different sizes. You can get the “gourmet” size (starter size), and “gourmand” size (main size). Which is great to try different dishes at once. I got the menu for lunch (20€), with 2 gourmet and one gourmet café gourmand. The beef was delicious. Sauce well put. Coquelet and its veggies also very well. My friends got the other dishes and it looked and tasted really good. I’m very pleased with the quality/price ratio. You eat very well, with a very good & friendly service. I’ll recommend this place 100%. Thank you.

Best ceviche I’ve ever had, nice intimate space that can also accommodate big party for 20+. Very nice hospitality, a great dining experience and the food is so creative, lots of local materials. Will visit again in the future, tucked inside a small alley but so worth it. Reasonably priced.

Yelp
Warmly greeted upon arrival! So friendly! Modern decor and seating. We got there right before it got crowded but we did have reservations which is a good idea! Great wine list! Of course, we are in Paris! They bring out water and bread immediately! Nice touch. We started with a Gazpacho that was superb! Then got the veal plate. All their dishes are served either a good size or huge. We got the good size of everything! The veal plate was wonderful! It was a thick slab of veal over eggplant with figs. Sounds weird but it was oh so good! For dessert we shared a Stroblerone! Really delicious and we got a Calvados with it. Yum!

Yelp
Charming bistro with a limited menu changing every month which can be a good or not so great thing if you love a dish. Staff is extremely kind and very knowledgeable in regards to food and wine menu. First time we went, everything was great. We had fish tartare/ ceviche as an entre and beef as main course. Extremely tasty and well presented. Second time around, I probably I don't know if it was me or the the choices I made but I wasn't quite as impressed. I ordered a variety of three fish appetizers to share, one of which was AMAZING but the two others were ok. The beef main, was also ok. One can't end a meal without dessert, their stroblerone is truly unique and a must-try. Price point is fair and overall good experience and would go back in the future when visiting Paris.

Yelp
Located a block from place Clichy in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. Each dish can be served either the mini (gourmet) or regular portion (gourmand). We had the grilled sea bream and baked sea bass in gourmet sizes to share. The grilled sea bream was definitely the star. For dessert, we stroblerone (looked like a Toblerone bar) and a play on apple tarte tatin, but with mango. Good presentation of dishes and a nice gem.

Yelp
Second to last night in Paris and decided to hope along and spy on a friends date. She decided to go to Strobi and we all discreetly tagged along... sadly she didn't get a table with her date... but we sure did. Walking into Strobi, super small but cozy. Lots of amazing wood work and friendly staff and servers greeted us by the door. Their menu is super small... but our choices were amazing. Tapas style dishes- we had the teriyaki meat along with duck with a purée pumpkin and a side of amazing fries with diced tomatoes. Paired with some fabulous French red wine... it was an amazing dinner. Everything was so tasty and fresh. They refilled our basket of bread and spreads for us... super yummy!! Don't be intimidated by the menu and this place fills up fast.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place for dinner before a show and our dinner was amazing! The service was really great, super friendly and attentive staff. It's tapas style but you can order the dishes in larger portion if you want a full meal. My friends and I did tapas style but we dod try the larger portions. We ordered the duck with pumpkin purée, pork ribs with beets and French fries. There was so much flavor in every dish and it was cooked perfectly! The pork rib was falling off the bone. The duck was the best duck I had while visit Paris for the weekend. Their menu is not so large but I can tell every dish is cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!

Yelp
On our 3rd night in Paris we found this gem. Tucked just off the lunacy of Place du Clichy, this quiet little bistro lacks for nothing. Fantastic menu (small to ensure everything is perfectly fresh), very nice wine list, and wonderful service. We had a variety of gourmet sized items including the risotto, artichokes, pork filet, and lemon sole - all were fantastic. And the service was excellent. Personalized, perfectly paced, incredibly helpful and very friendly. I would recommend this establishment to anyone.

Yelp
Great little place! Each menu item has a gourmet (small/appetizer) and gourmand (large/main course) option which is great if you want to dine family style. Their fries (wedges) are served with a yogurt sauce... that is delicious. We had a large serving as a starter! The Veal Tartare was amazingly fresh and flavorful. We also shared a small Kefta roll. Not traditional but really tasty. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating as he welcomed us for dinner even though arrived late -- 10 minutes before closing time. The space is welcoming, warm, and opened. Very clean restroom. No AMEX... :(

Yelp
Excellent service as well as food. They make you feel welcome. Menu was available only in French but the guy took time explaining each and every item. They have small and big portions for everything, so you can order as per your liking. The onion and seeds sauce he brought with bread as complimentary was really good. I ordered fish - Merlu Mi-Cuit au Beurre Citronne - and must say have never tasted such delicious fish. The fruit cheese cake was apt to finish it off. Once again can't praise the service enough. They even provided me access to their wifi network without asking.

Yelp
Very friendly hosts and creative dishes made this a memorable evening. All the dishes come small or large. We tried five dishes including halibut steamed in a pastry, gambas, arugula and romaine hearts with whipped beetroot, and minced meat in pastry. Everything was delicious and is heartily recommended for a fun and romantic evening.
