Stromma Canal Tours

We did the Hygge boat tour with guide Tony. Me & my son were the only ones who had booked on - so had it to ourselves. The boat was very comfy, even had heated seats and blankets. Tony was great, told us lots of facts, was funny and entertaining. It lasted approx 1 hour. One of the highlights of our trip to Copenhagen. Glad we chose the Hygge trip.

On our very first day in Copenhagen in early September, we hopped on the canal tour from Ved Stranden 26 with Stromma and it was such a lovely way to start our trip; the sun was shining, the city looked beautiful from the water, and we instantly fell in love with Copenhagen; we couldn’t stop imagining what it would be like to live here! The tour lasted about one hour (for the classic route) and during warmer months they also offer a longer 1 hour 45 minute version that takes in even more. The cost for the basic tour starts at around DKK 169 (about AUD 40) and includes sights like the Little Mermaid, Amalienborg Palace and the winding waterways through the city. The guides were lively and funny:) Our host welcomed everyone with warmth and humour. When the tour finished we returned to the exact same spot and stepped off right in front of a lovely wine bar called Ved Stranden 10. Perfect for a post tour tipple. If you’re visiting Copenhagen I highly recommend this boat tour; seeing the city from the water like this is simply one of the nicest experiences.

We loved the canal tour, the lady who was our tour guide was funny and friendly. We were lucky to go on a dry day so could get some great pics on the way. The boat was also lovely and warm with a cover over (winter months) We used the discovery card to cover the cost of the trip, you just need to scan it at the ticket office to obtain a ticket.

My experience with Stromma Canal Tours in Copenhagen was absolutely brilliant! Our guide, Jaz, was fantastic. She was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the city's history and landmarks, and had a wonderful, funny sense of humor that kept everyone entertained. What truly surprised and delighted us was her unexpected talent for singing – it added such a unique and memorable touch to the tour! I will definitely be using Stromma Canal Tours again on my next visit to Copenhagen. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an engaging and fun way to see the city from the water!

If i could give it a 10 stars experience riding on the Copenhagen canal, i would. The experience is very well choreographed from the route selection to the accompanying narrative whenever we pass by an interesting location. The staffs truly enjoy their jobs and was super excited to ensure all the passengers were assisted and questions answered.

I usually don’t go on a tour like this when I travel but this one was included in the Copenhagen Card, so I gave it a try. The tour was about 1 hour, and I really enjoyed it even though it was super windy at some point. I suggest you do it on the first day to get the bigger picture of the city and some info of the places.

I was on the fence about taking this tour but it was included with my Copenhagen City Card, so I decided to do it and I’m so glad I did! Not only was it a lovely relaxing way to spend an hour but it taught me a lot about Copenhagen in one compact tour. I would recommend doing this when you first get to town. It’s a great way to learn what else you might want to do!
