Only three beers on tap but they were all pretty good. No real views of the lake from the bar and the private beach behind it has been closed to patrons.

We paid a visit to the Strong Rope Taproom while vacationing in Blue Mt. Lake. It was a very short walk from our cottage and well worth the visit. We had many memories of Potters' Resort restaurant from years ago, but had never been in the taproom. We were delighted to meet the owner and learn the history of the place, made even more charming by the signatures on the walls and the slide show on the screens. Our family ordered a variety of draft beers from their small selection (ipa, dark and blonde brews) and found the bartender and guests to be very friendly and welcoming. The food truck and outdoor seating looked inviting. Summer is a short season. We are glad to see Blue Mt. Lake, Potters and Strong Rope thriving!

I have visited 100+ breweries and have found Strong Rope to be one of the best. Using all NY ingredients, their beers are consistently flavorful and drinkable. Not all IPAs, like many. And not all standard brews, like most. And definitely no non-beer additives like some. They are constantly experimenting, so be sure to return again for the latest!

What a gem! We found SRB by way of Google Maps, had never heard of it. So glad we chose to stop there. Our food was all so delicious. It came out piping hot and we all said it was some of the best reuben/wings/onion rings/turkey blts we’d ever had!

Pleasant and friendly. Good IPA. Outside only but the weather was friendly. Only two more weekends to go for this season! Can't wait for indoors to open; it looks pretty cozy.

We vacation in Blue Mountain every year and the taproom is the first spot we go to! We love the selection of local beers and the atmosphere is always laid back. The food trucks and kettle corn are always a fun addition to our visits! To the best of my knowledge dogs are allowed outside on leash!

Wonderful tap room with a great history of visitors. We had the Rhubard Sour and the IPA. Great taste. Friendly bar tender who took time to explain the history of the place and the name for the brewery. Well worth a stop to quench your thirst after a hike, bike or kayak in Blue Mountain Lake.

Yelp
In the ADK for vacation and stopped by just 24 hours after their grand opening - so happy we did. We tried their IPA 7%abv and it was great ... hoppy flavor that lasted unlike some IPAs that start strong and have no finish. Cozy interior, the brewmasters wife was pouring and filled us in on the history of the spot - no food on the menu but they had an amazing antipasto tray that we nibbles on...

Yelp
Good place for a beer. Good beers too. Really solid IPA. Not many beers on top. Snack options could be broader.

Yelp
I wish this had a view of the lake unfortunately the view outside is of the route 28 and 30 intersection and the gas station across the street. The place only takes up part of the main building. I was surprised when I walked in as to how small the place was. The interior was nicely decorated for the Adirondacks. With tables and chairs. There were about 5 stools at the bar. The bar is also small. When I was there all five stools were occupied so it was slightly awkward to order over the other patrons shoulders. The beer selection was limited to about 5. Mine was good. I did enjoy drinking outside but wished I would be looking out over the lake. There is no food available. I like to support businesses in the Adirondacks as it's difficult to keep busy/open for 12 months. I only wish I could see the lake I would have stayed all afternoon.
