This restaurant is off the chain one of the best. As a guy who a student of the culinary arts, I would have to say this is just an amazing high class, traditional Hungarian restaurant. Don’t come here because you want cheap food or goulash, even though their goulash is good too. These are fabulous, well presented meals and very good portions. And, don’t leave without eating the strudel because it is absolutely amazing. Please make sure you ask for Alex, who was our waiter, as he was one of the best attendants we had while we visited Budapest.

Bedt Strudel in Budapest hands-down. Also the best value for your money, half the price of the strudels @ the Xmas market stalls, you pay 1,000HF per strudel piece vs. 2,000HF @ the markets. I got 3 different flavours: Apple, plum, and sour cherry with poppy seed. And yes, I ate all three 😄, were soo soo good! My favorite was the Apple (classic), then the plum and then the sour cherry, but all 3 were very good and highly recommend. They did have on the menu a strudel with cabbage which I found interesting and unique but did not have the courage to buy and try 😅, maybe next time.

We had a 3 course menu and it was so delicious! I especially enjoyed the sweet raspberry strudel with cottage cheese - absolute delight! Service is exceptional. Atmosphere is also very pleasant. Though the ventilation inside is terrible. It’s both hot and smelling oil, so consider that your outfit will have that smell afterwards 😅

We stumbled upon this cute spot and were pleasantly surprised. Had coffee and strudel—both were good and hit the spot. The interior design was fantastic: cozy, stylish, and full of character. We didn’t try the full menu, so no comment on the food, but the vibe alone makes it worth a visit.

Recommend by the concierge at the Kempinski Hotel. Lovely atmosphere. After a long flight we wanted a quick bite and loved the atmosphere so much we made a reservation for the next night. Highly recommend the goulash, and especially the sour cherry strudel with sauce (the sauce is a divine chocolate!) They upsold us to the most expensive wine on the list.. but hey.. we are on holidays!!

We had a strudel and hot tea here. The atmosphere is very cosy, the service is friendly and fast. The strudel itself is ok. It was tasty, but not delicious as I expected from a strudel place.

Good strudels with different flavours but they are overpriced. You get one smaaaaall strudel for about 3 euros. If you come only for desert here you need to eat at least 3 strudels to be enough.

This restaurant has changed a lot since my visit last year, and unfortunately not for the better. The food wasn’t served hot, and we had to request bread. The Apple strudel had less flavor and the topping wasn’t as nice as before. Our table was set in an uncomfortable, high-traffic spot, which took away from the experience. After three visits, I think I’ll take a break from coming back.
