Strudel House Budapest, Első Pesti Rétesház

We stumbled upon this cute spot and were pleasantly surprised. Had coffee and strudel—both were good and hit the spot. The interior design was fantastic: cozy, stylish, and full of character. We didn’t try the full menu, so no comment on the food, but the vibe alone makes it worth a visit.

We had a 3 course menu and it was so delicious! I especially enjoyed the sweet raspberry strudel with cottage cheese - absolute delight! Service is exceptional. Atmosphere is also very pleasant. Though the ventilation inside is terrible. It’s both hot and smelling oil, so consider that your outfit will have that smell afterwards 😅

Overrated place, had much tastier strudel and goulash in other much less expensive places in Budapest. Place is very crowded, service is slow and prices are big for what they offer. Nice interior, clean, no reservations needed. All in one a 4!

Delicious strudel and great coffee We stopped by for coffee and strudel and were really impressed. The strudel was beautifully light and full of flavour, and the coffee was excellent. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere warm and inviting — the perfect place to relax and take a break from exploring the city. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely return.

We came here for the famous Strudel, but ended up having also the most exquisite lunch! I am very picky with food, didn’t have any expectations, but it was absolutely delicious! I will recommend this place to everyone and definitely will be coming back when in Budapest !!

We only tried the strudel and it was tasty as aspected. Before i got there I heard about the live making of strudel so i hoped i could see it in live action. Our timing was great cause we had a desk besides the baking area and a pretty good view at the scenario. It was a pretty short experience cause he made the strudel like in 2 min but i think it was totally worth it. I would recommend the strudel with vanilla ice cream. 950 Ft + 850 Ft is totally fine for a tourist stop.

Every detail was amazing. The beer and wine were good and refreshing. The soup, entrees and desserts were so delicious. The strudel making demo was enjoyable. I highly recommend Strudel House Budapest.

Just like we remember 8 yrs ago. We had to visit twice this trip as they had run our of plum strudel ( it was close to 10pm at night) so of course we had to come back a second time. Each time was just as we had expected - amazing!! Our recommendation - Plum, Sour Cherry, Cheese + Apricot, Apricot, Cheese and last but not least Apple If you go during the day you can even see one of the chefs making the strudels. Elegant interior and service is the just the icing on the cake
