You can pick Apples, take a walk in the beautiful Orchards, have Apple Cider Donuts and Fresh baked Pies too! Bring the doggo and kiddos! A beautiful farm that has been here since 1828!

This is my third year visiting this farm for apple picking, and I love that there’s no admission fee and free parking. They offer a great variety of apples, and while they’ve recently raised their 'pick-your-own' bag prices, it's still reasonable given current price increases/inflation. As long as they keep their pricing approach, I’ll definitely keep coming back. One tip I tell everyone, get the large bag. (If you compare the small and the large, the small one is not worth it)

My family and I visited Stuart’s Farm on Sunday and it was an amazing experience! We went apple picking and they require you to buy a bag from them- $20 for a small bag and $30 for the larger bag. The apples were juicy and ripe, although some trees are beginning to rot. The highlight of the farm was the bakery! The lines are long but worth the wait! We bought a dozen fresh apple cider donuts and they have been the best donuts I’ve had from a farm! We also had the apple turnovers and the apple cider, which were just as amazing. We also got to do the corn maze, which was $5 a person. Overall, I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to go back again!

Google
Stuart’s farm was a magnificent time for my family. The parking was free and there was plenty. My two year old son was able to run all around and the staff was friendly to him. The orchard was easy to navigate. Apples were everywhere on the ground and in the trees. There was some bugs but easy to get around. The best part is the apples are delicious. The store was reasonably priced.

Google
This was our first time at Stuarts Farm and we had an amazing time! There were plenty of apples to choose from and to pick off the trees. The branches were low enough that our 2 year old daughter was able to reach and pick a few apples. She was quite proud of herself! There are no admission fees to the farm. You must purchase the farm’s bags for apple picking. You can choose between small and large. We got the large and was pleased with the amount of apples we could fit inside. The bakery was a delight for the senses! Walking in just made your mouth water. We purchased some apple cider donuts and they were so delicious! I think these are the best ones we’ve had. We plan on making Stuart’s Farm our annual tradition 🥰. They accept cash and personal checks, no credit cards.

Open 7 days👍 No reservations required🙌 Juiciest apples😋 Delicious bakery😍 Sold at their stand: homegrown tomatoes, salad dressings, honeys, jams (some items from their own farm, other items made exclusively for them) and other products too - but these items I bought and tried so I know are good. Tip: if you planned on making a day of it and don’t mind the beautiful scenic drive up another 5 to 8 miles - there’s a town called Mahopac with a plethora of stores and awesome restaurants to finish off the day. You’re welcome😉

Google
Fun outing for the family. A lot of other orchards charge entrance or parking fees, glad Stuart doesn't. The pick your own bag prices have gone up, honestly I think everything here has raised prices. If anything, the donuts are amazing. The apples are pretty good.

Google
It was very nice. Very family oriented. You had to wear mask and it was well organized. Had a great time with the family apple and pumpkin picking. Get ready though if you want to order from the bakery things like apple pie, apple cider donuts etc...That line is never ending lol.

Yelp
Cash only, no frills. Produce varieties well labeled. Responsive on the phone. Apple variety was still abundant when we came early Nov, lady manning the storefront was efficient and friendly. 35 for a large bag that we split among us, easily had 40+ apples across a ton o different varieties - golden delicious, honeycrisp, fuji, red delicious, jonagold etc. Donuts were great, as was hot cider. Did not have pie but would highly recommend the scones as well - hard to find a scone that isn't too dry and the blueberry one we had was moist and packed a punch. Came at 12nn or so and the parking lot started to fill up an hour or so after. Farm is very walkable and saw Christmas trees a little farther along too. Other activities included a pumpkin patch and corn maze. We did not partake in either. There is only a portalet.

Yelp
There are lots of apple trees with a variety of apples to choose from. They are all labeled. There is a bakery and a store. There's also a small pumpkin patch area. The prices were really reasonable. It's $15 for a small bag of apples. The pumpkins were 99c a pound. I got scones, an elephant ear, doughnuts, and a muffin. They were all yummy. Mrs. Stuart was very nice to us. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there were bees everywhere! Hundreds. It was very overwhelming. There were no indoor bathrooms. It's cash only.

Yelp
This is a family owned farm with great options for apple picking. The apples are huge & so tasty!! It is just a short walk from the entrance. This is an ideal place to go with small children since it's a close orchard and not hilly. Despite the fact we came at the end of October there were a lot of good apples available. I wish their were bigger signs & labels to identify which apples were ready for picking. The woman who owns the store is very sweet & helpful. Bakery has some nice pastry options that you don't see at other orchards. Fair warning this is a CASH or check only location so be prepared.
google avatar

Jaimee A.

Yelp
This was a decent apple orchard, but the only thing to do is the apple orchard. In early October the trees were full of apples and it wasn't too hilly. They don't have much else other than apples. The bakery line was way too long. They don't have hayrides or any of the fun and games the other orchards have.

Yelp
Fun farm to apple pick. Lots of diversity in apple trees. Apples all tasted pretty good. Loved the apple cider and pastries sold in the bakery. The apple pie was quite tasty, and the apple donuts were delicious. Overall a fun day trip from New York City! A short Uber ride from the metro north station!

Yelp
Great farm in WestChester! CASH ONLY! They have tons of fall activities; apple picking, pumpkin picking, corn maze, hayride and lots of baked goodies. Apple picking is $30 for a large bag (1/2 bushel) and $15 for a small bag. We got the large bag and probably had over 50 apples. It was very organized with a gigantic map of all the varieties. Pumpkins were laid out for you to pick. Small pumpkins were $5 or less. Larger ones were weighed and then priced. Most of the baked goods were good. I was disappointed the apple cider donuts were not warm; $1/donut. The pumpkin muffin $3 was delicious! The Apple strudel was not worth it; not stuffed with enough filling. No issues with parking mid day on a Saturday. Overall, great stop for families or friends looking for fall festivities!

Yelp
This year was my second year that I planned a field trip to this farm for my school. Last year, we came and went apple picking and were told by the older lady which whom I spoke to on the phone beforehand (I believe based on other reviews is Mrs. Stuart), that our students could also take home pumpkins. It was an amazing experience. This year, I spoke with Mrs. Stuart on the phone while scheduling the trip again and she asked if my students were also getting pumpkins. I said yes and we confirmed the price for each student was $15. When we arrived at the farm, I met with Mrs Stuart and paid for my students and everyone had a wonderful time up until it was time to pick pumpkins. Staff from my school were telling me that this young woman was being rude and saying they could not get pumpkins. It was the way she said it to them. She even approached me with a rude attitude saying our students have to pay for pumpkins. There's a way to speak with customers and the way she did to me was disgusting especially with students around. I understand if there was confusion. We had 31 students on the trip. We are a big group. Why would we try and steal pumpkins?! I was never told of a separate price for pumpkins. If so, I would have included it in the overall price for my students when I planned the trip because my group consisted of students who are in special education. As a result, some students did not bring money with them. I would have prepped the parents to send in money with their child. Please trust that I will NEVER visit this farm again with my students or anyone else. Mrs. Stuart is amazing. I thank her for her kindness for the past 2 years. The young woman with the long brown hair is the reason we will no longer plan field trips to this farm.

Yelp
My husband and I had a great time apple -picking yesterday. This farm has two sweet dwarf tree varieties e.g. Honeycrisp & Ginger Gold (beyond the light grey building) and 18 tart varieties (across the field). The tart section was clearly labeled with signs on posts but the sweet section was pretty easy to figure out even without signs being that there were two varieties. Most of the ripe trees were abundantly full of apples even in late September. Just be aware that the ground is uneven in some spots and there are fallen apples around so watch where you step. We took home a big heavy bag of apples worth $35.00. We paid at the main store and enjoyed a short walk to the apple sections. The quality of the apples are great- delicious and a good size. We didn't need poles to pick apples but it's helpful to have a tall person in your group . Even if you don't, you'd still be fine. The farm stand had a good variety of stuff from other fruit and vegetables besides apples, soup mixes, spice mixes for your apple cider, sweets, preserves, and gifts. Be sure to visit their website if you'd like a preview or call. Mrs. Stuart is super friendly and helpful. The bakery was full of awesome desserts. I was tempted to buy one of everything . They also sell coffee and cider etc. My husband and I loved their apple cider donuts. They were flavorful and fresh. We didn't purchase any drinks this time. We'd love to visit this farm again soon to explore the other apple varieties which ripen in October. I would have loved to go peach and nectarine- picking but we missed the cut-off though the farm stand does have them for sale still. There is more to experience on this farm but we were really there just for the apple -picking experience. Highly recommended! Great for families or groups but if you want to avoid the crowds, we highly recommend visiting on a weekday like we did.

Yelp
Visited the farm today for the first time and I asked for handicap parking and was told to park in an area in front. There was another car with a handicap in their car so we thought we were ok. We proceeded to pick out apples and were very pleased with this farm until we put out apples in the car and were going to visit the bakery when a very rude older man told us to move the car. We told him we were told to park there. He then threatened to put his tracker in front of our car. We went up to the girl and said why were we told we could park our car there and she said who told you. We were like the girl that was here earlier. My husband proceeded to park the car in the parking area and a worker told my husband your not handicap. That was it. How dare anyone question a disability. We left and will never return. People at this farm need to know how to speak to customers. All this rude man had to say was "I'm sorry you can't park here". There was no need to be that rude. Remember the customers are keeping your farm up and operating. So I advise any one who is handicap not to go to this farm. Other farms accommodate handicap people.

Yelp
Ideal apple orchard/pumpkin patch outing. Only negative was the mud that two weeks of monsoon weather offered. Aside from that, great prices, lovely farm, amazing day trip!

Yelp
Great spot for apple picking, amazing apple cider Donuts and the people are great and apples

Yelp
We were turned away from Wilkins farm down the road as they were already full thirty minutes after opening. This farm had free parking and free entrance. We purchased the 15 dollar bag of apples which was more than enough. Had to walk a bit to hit JACKPOT trees but understandable as it was late in the season. People were adhering to COVID restrictions and rules. CASH ONLY. pumpkin patch is cute. My Only drawback is that there are a lack of hand sanitizer stations or places to wash hands!

Yelp
Humiliating experience. Visited today with my family - husband, two kids, grandparents. We have been coming here for 5 years now and I was honestly shocked at how poorly we were treated after our prior relatively positive experiences. What happened: tried to buy some bakery goods using Zelle, got the green check in the app with the cashier standing next to me, the payment showed as completed and accepted on my end with a confirmation number, yet she kept saying that she could not let me have my goods until she saw it as received in HER bank - despite her witnessing the green check and seeing the status reflected as delivered and a confirmation number in my app, because she was watching me send it. At that point I was in a catch 22 - I had already sent the money and could not leave without my goods because I couldn't take my money back, and she was not letting me have what I paid for. So, I was forced to stand, being advised to call my bank, when my bank was clearly not the problem, while she went back to help other customers. After about 20 minutes she showed up again and finally gave me the stuff I paid for, saying the money just came through. I feel so humiliated that I will never ever bring my family again. If you, as a business, have made the decision to take Zelle as a payment method, and you have witnessed a customer paying you on their phone with the green check showing and a confirmation number, that should be sufficient. The fact you have delays, which are clearly on your end, should not mean that you humiliate your customers by refusing to give them what they paid for. And mind you, I was actually one of their "paying customers" because we were foolish enough to also pay $70 for two apple picking bags at the beginning of our visit, as we do every time we go there. We saw multiple other guests getting out of their cars carrying empty USED Stuart's Farm bags with them and they headed directly to the field to fill those up - I guess the general understating is that if you pay for a bag once you could use it all season, because that is what everyone else seems to be doing. So, way to go Stuart's Farm - you just lost one of your loyal paying customers, I hope you enjoy the others who come without paying for what they pick. I hope this is a lesson learned not just for me, but for any other reasonable person. Please take your kids and money elsewhere.

Yelp
I just wanted to update on the pies we got from here. The coconut cream pie was good. The apple pie was beyond amazing! One of the best apple pies I ever had. Loved it!

Bee J.

Yelp
Zero stars. Our family called the farm first to make sure they were open (they were!) and then drove an hour and a half with two little kids and a dog, only to be turned away at the entrance by a traffic cop who said "Farm's full, parking lot closed, move on." We weren't told to wait or find parking elsewhere. They just refused anyone else to enter. Big mess - go elsewhere.
google avatar

Marie B.

Yelp
The Donuts so good! ! Fresh, warm and delicious. Have to go back and try some cider and their pies.

Nicole M.

Yelp
Zero stars. They let traffic build up all the way up & down granite springs road just to tell you they're closed. We waited for a half hour just to get to the front of the line to see they were closed. They should have had that sign at the beginning of the road instead of wasting peoples time! What a mess!!!!!

J Z.

Yelp
Farm looked scenic. But the fact that they don't sell own fresh pressed cider is a deal-breaker for me. How can you be an apple farm and sell cider from some company other than your own? On top of that, there is no option to buy a cup of cider. You've got to buy a relatively large bottle of it.
google avatar

Jackie B.

Yelp
This farm is lovely and the apple picking was great. Several varieties to choose from and there's a map to show you what to pick and where. They also had a huge bin of apples at the exit of picking in case you didn't pick or what you wanted. I thought $30 for a bag was a little pricey but you just walk out with your bag instead of having to weigh it like some places. Real star of the show is the pies. We waited over an hour in line to get cider donuts and the people in front of us said it was very worth the long wait -- especially for the pies. The apple crumb did not disappoint!!!
google avatar

Kisha J.

Yelp
I have went here for years and have enjoyed myself both times. Employees are very friendly and the donuts are amazing.
google avatar

Lex L.

Yelp
We had a great time here! We picked a bagful of Golden Delicious and red apples. The staff are friendly and helpful. The farm is well maintained. We also bought pies and apple cider donuts. Everything is delicious! They carry a nice variety of fruit pies and good coffee in the bakery. There is also a shop with homemade Jams and preserves. We highly recommend Stuart's Farm!

Josselin R.

Yelp
The place is beautiful, the apples were very delicious, very sweet, my family loved it, we will return soon, it is a nice place to enjoy and share with the people we love
google avatar

Ellen C.

Yelp
Price is good, compared to others this was only $15 a bag for small or $30 for large bag. Definitely will come again but earlier in September... there was no apples left on the tree when I went mid October... ended up just picking from the bin but thats ok! Worth the experience!
google avatar

Medina M.

Yelp
Really great place! Workers are very kind and the Dutch apple pies are the best!!! We went at the end of Apple season and beginning of pumpkin season!!
google avatar

Chipman W.

Yelp
This place makes my 10-year-old daughter happy. And my wife, too. Oodles of trees in their never-ending orchard of apples featuring various types and -- for the first time I know of, new this year -- peaches. Fill your bag for a flat fee, and make sure to hit the bakery and fresh fruit/veggie stores at the bottom of the hill. Free parking, friendly staff, and a corn maze you can skip.

L. S.

Yelp
APPLE PIE review ONLY. Want an apple pie??? well don't buy it here. It was one of the worst pies I ever tasted. Some of the apples were soft and some were hard. There was also a terribly sweet and terrible tasting syrup in the pie. They must buy these pies from somewhere else. It cost $22- for one terribly horrible pie. Save your money and go elsewhere.

T C.

Yelp
Must go! Make some time to catch the sunset on the way back around 6pm. The warm apple cider and donuts are soo delicious and the staff are warm and welcoming. Lots of photo opps
google avatar

Linda D.

Yelp
We came here early October and it was lovely. They have a huge bakery and a great selection of pies. However they ONLY TAKE CASH!!!

Ji L.

Yelp
Huge pick your own apple orchard that is chaos on the weekend. No signs to the apples, no help about where to go, no information about apple varieties, the line to buy bags right where the cars are leaving. The people here don't seem to care about much but selling you the bags. This could be a great experience. Too bad. And we didn't see one sign asking people to wear masks or maintain a safe distance.
google avatar

J C.

Yelp
Went apple picking today before the rains and overall pretty solid ! The bag costs 30 dollars and holds a ton of apples which seems to be about average price The corn maze was 3 dollars a person and my six year old loved it They advertised a hayride but never found it ? No worries though because the apples were plentiful and quick and easy to get to ! This was exactly what we were looking for as we were in and out in two hours ... if you are looking to spend an entire day probably not the place for you but to avoid crowds and still have some fall fun it's just perfect The Apple cider donuts were just ok but the bakery has tons of other goodies that looked amazing and a great farm stand :)

Yelp
3.5 Stars. Me and a group of 15 friends drove up to Stuart's Farm from Manhattan to go apple picking in the fall. It was my first time apple picking so I didn't know what to expect. They charge by bag, not by pound. A bag to pick apples is $15 for a small bag, and 25 dollars for a large bag and you can fill it up as much as you want or as little as you want. We all got the large bag for 2-3 people, and it was definitely harder to fill up than I thought. We went in Mid-October but found most good apples already picked. There were plenty of apples on the trees, but a significant amount were rotten. A ton of rotten apples were also on the ground surrounding the trees. I think that's why it took us a while to fill out our bag - to search for non-rotten apples. There were also different varieties of apples to pick from, but I found the fields a little confusing and disorganized as the farm barely any signs to label what apples we are picking from. The views were beautiful - especially in the fall. Overall, our group had a great time apple picking here. We filled up our bags and took home pounds and pounds of apples!
google avatar

Gigi S.

Yelp
So here is the problem. You wait a bit for parking, they guide you to your parking spot, then you unload your kids out of the car, walk up a hill which, although not the farms fault, was so muddy everyone was slipping and falling. When you finally reach the apple trees, there are no apples left to pick. Bummer. We were sad for a minute but then cheered up thinking we'd go over to their bakery and grab a couple of pies, some doughnuts and apple cider for the ride home. Not! The line for the bakery was insane. Not worth the trip at all here today.

David C.

Yelp
Drove an hour to get here after calling to make sure it was open, however when we got here there was no signs of activity. I called to see if someone would pick up again and no one picked up. Highly disappointed and would never recommend this place. They even left the store unattended.
google avatar

Mike T.

Yelp
Very tasty appple cider doughnuts, they were fresh & had a nice light texture, though a bit small. The apples were good, though expensive. Also saw various jams, jellies & spreads, things such as Apple Butter which were more fairly priced. Oddly enough they even sell packages of bacon from a different farm for $12 !? 1 package of bacon for 12 friggin' dollars ? I don't care how fresh or artisinal it is, that is outrageous & just plain greedy.

Ellen C.

Yelp
Our family has been coming to Stuart's for over 20 years. We always enjoy picking apples, and the cider donuts are great! We have fond memories of hay rides and pre school tours there. This year, they went above and beyond! We brought our son's therapy pet, a green chevron parakeet, with us on our trip to Stuart's. Although his wings are clipped and he usually stays on my son's shoulder, he surprised us by flying off into the trees! All the staff at Stuart's were so kind and helpful. It took hours to get him back, and we were there till long after dark. A special shout out to Bill, whose patience and perseverance finally helped us get our beloved pet back...Thank you so much!!! Love, the Cuomo family

Yelp
I used to live in Illinois and there were farms everywhere. Corn, strawberries, apples, blueberries, mushrooms (but not the freaky kind that let's you see Jesus), etc. You name it, they got it. Wisconsin was also around the corner...so picking fresh produce is no biggee for me. Damn, they have the freshest cheese... Now my take on Stuart's Fruit Farm is that they are making a killing getting city folk from NYC to come drive down here and a pay $10 for a bag slightly bigger than a Ziplock freezer bag...then you can pick your own apples. Also, all the food items like apple cider and dried fruits aren't even made on the farm, but shipped from somewhere else. :-/ Feeling ripped off, yet? It was semi-fun...but man, those apples were expensive. Everybody was nice though. Worth the experience if you've never done it before. For the love of God, avoid the porta potties at all costs.

Yelp
This review is for the cut your own Christmas trees not the fruit picking. I really wanted to like this place as it's smaller then some of the "factory". Cut your own operations we have been too. Unfortunately the trees were not well kept (pruned). I other words didn't have good shape and many had vines/weeds growing in them. Also not much variety in terms of varietals. To boot, The guys who bailed and tied the tree to your car were unpleasant (others were nice enough). Prices were on the high end so not much redeeming quality. Overall we will not go back.

Ann W.

Yelp
So glad they had beautiful Christmas trees! Had several choices and the owners were right there to help us choose one, get it trimmed, wrapped and tied to our car. Good service, good price and their donuts are fresh and delicious. Excellent time on one of the last REAL farms in Westchester. Will be happy to return, especially in warmer weather.

S C.

Yelp
Great apple picking orchard!!! The Honeycrisp is so sweet and fresh. Price is right. The donuts line had 50 ppl lined up, but worth it. A great way to spend a beautiful autumn day....

Yelp
I've come here several times in the last 5 years with my family and we love it. We come from the city and it feels peaceful here. May move near by soon, and definitely will be a regular. The people here are so nice, and welcoming. The apples and pumpkins are great and the treats are even better, pies and donuts even coffee, my fav.

Ammiel C.

Yelp
I thought it was a great idea to bring my kids to the farm and enjoy our Saturday. Everything was going good until I was walking back to the car to unload the apples to reuse my $30 large bag to purchase items at the bakery. I didn't realize I was being watched. As we were heading towards the bakery with my bag in my hand, one of the workers stopped me and said loudly "excuse me you can't reuse the bag to pick more apples." I found it strange because we were heading to the direction of the bakery not back to the field. I said to him we were not heading there but I will be purchasing items from the bakery. At this point, he knew he was in the wrong and couldn't give me a valid response. Then he said just put the bag back in the car. I complied and place it back in the car. He isn't discreet about this. People on the farm starting looking at me weird, probably a thief. I felt soooo embarrassed. I drove 2 hours to get there and after thinking this situation out, I will never return back to the farm. Btw the pastries were on point!

Cristina C.

Yelp
NEVER AGAIN!! Well this was the first and last time i will be picking Stuarts Fruit Farm for a day of apple picking. I have gone to many different orchards over the years and this was by far the worst I've ever been to. The staff, from the parking lot to the apple orchard were nothing but rude, unhelpful, and miserable. The chaos and inefficiency of the parking lot and the apple orchard itself made my experience extremely unenjoyable, not to mention the mostly barren apple trees. The charge $30 for a bag that could barely be filled with the shortage of apples in the orchard. They offer a lot less than most apple orchards/pumpkin patches do. Theres NO bar or food. The bakery line was up the hill into the orchard for only a variety of 2 pies, apple cider donuts, and muffins... And "the market" is a garage with produce surrounded by tools and metal. There are a ton of great apple orchards in Westchester County and Stuart's Fruit Farm is definitely not one of them!!!

Yelp
Expected charming family fun - Got over-crowded, over-priced, over-farmed, over-run paths with weeds and poison ivy, over-hyped and under-delivered miserable day. This place used to be quaint. A nice local farm to spend a few hours walking outside, smiling at the other few families taking pictures in the pumpkin patch. Now? It took us 20 minutes to wind our way through the farm just to park. No help with directing you what to do or where to go after that except to get shuttled to the guy holding the small plastic $25 bag that you have to buy even if you only pick one apple. And that one apple? Good luck finding it. It's Columbus day weekend - i expected a few more families than normal but I also expected - wait for it - APPLES. Ummm... Plenty on the ground. Plenty smashed, crushed, decaying and very easy to slip on. Almost none on the trees. Let's talk about slipping again for a second - the rains bring mud - LOTS OF MUD. I expected some - it's an orchard - but the wet muddy 3' wide wooden board they have to cover the two acres of mud you have to trek through to find that one apple is ridiculous. Wear Hip Boots! Seriously - i sunk in almost up to my ankle at one point. I also slipped on the 3' wooden plank trying to cross a mini-stream to get to the one apple tree that wasn't picked clean. I slipped, landed on my knee and arm and being me, yelled out "F#$K!" as loud as I would if i were at home - forgetting in my pain and anger that there were literally a hundred families with strollers, toddlers, infants, and wholesome non-cursing people nearby - i did however say "sorry" quickly though as i trudged uphill - in my soggy sneakers and wet-knee jeans to make this old-fashioned family fun day awesome for my kids. Ok - we all cracked up about that part later which made the whole trip worth it but still - those other families prob. got more entertainment than they bargained for. All said and done - STAY THE FRICK HOME. Better yet - go to the supermarket - give each kid a bag and say - first one to fill it with apples wins the right to carry the heavy apple bag to the register - where you'll prob. only pay about $5 and can still grab cider donuts from the end-aisle display.

Yelp
I probably had the wrong idea about apple picking. I figured it would be a hundred folks at most and a nice old timey farm. Instead, it was probably close to a thousand people, cars parked in all directions, chaos, long lines, dust, crying children, etc. It was more Space Mountain or a day at the DMV than rural charm. Then I find out they have apples at supermarkets this whole time!

Yelp
We were excited to have a place to pick apples that was within 30mins of our home. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed by our trip to Stuart's farm. 1) Mainly, we were upset because there was poison ivy everywhere. And we mean EVERYWHERE. Basically anywhere near the apple trees was covered by poison ivy, and it was under almost every tree. We saw whole families and toddlers roaming around in it, and were nervous that tonight will be a painful experience for them. I've attached a picture of the common poison ivy scene at this farm. It's dangerous. 2) As others have mentioned, they make you purchase a bag for $25, and then no matter how much you fill it (say, you don't want that many apples) it's still $25. I guess these are Westchester prices, but after the dangers of poison ivy, and finding many many worm-affected apples, it's just not worth it (for instance, we heard one young boy yell out - "I found a good one"!) 3) No credit cards, no atm. Just cash or check. Should have done our research. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Yelp
A great spot in northern Westchester County for both apple and pumpkin picking excursions. This expansive farm has been around for ages and is run by nice, hard-working people. The apple orchards are beautiful and fun to browse, and the apple trees are laden with fruit. They grow several types of apples on the premises and you can have your choice of many favorites. The apples at Stuart's are obviously crispier and fresher than what you'll find at your local supermarket, and it's definitely fun to pick them off the trees yourself. The pumpkin patch is also quite extensive and boasts beautiful, charming pumpkins - although a huge spider once crawled across a co-worker's shirt while she was browsing the pumpkin patch at Stuart's, so be careful! Stuart's also boasts nice views, a variety of items for purchase (think ciders, pies, Indian corn and other fall-themed items), and a fresh, country atmosphere. It was overcast and blustery the day I visited, but in my opinion that only added to the joy of the day. Stuart's is far enough north in Westchester so that visitors get a sense of the charming and almost-rural nature of the place, yet close enough so that it's within an easy drive of most sprawling suburban destinations. It's a great place to spend a fall afternoon.

Yelp
I love this farm. Close to the city, though far enough away to feel like you're in the middle of no where. The apples are delicious and they have a large selection of different apples. The donuts are SUPER good. Oh and they're dog friendly as long as you have your pup on a leash and clean up after it.

Yelp
Came here mid-morning on the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend with the whole extended family, kids ranging from toddlers to teens. There were plenty of apples in great condition and a fair amount of trees, we wandered around for over an hour at a leisurely pace to gather all toes of apples available. A laid back, relaxing atmosphere. As for the complaints about there not being a lot to do, it's a farm for apple picking, and there were plenty of apples. There was also a hayride and there were small play places for little kids. I mostly liked that it was a real farm and not a circus-like atmosphere staged to entertain kids and bring in more money. BTW, the baked goods we sampled were ALL delicious, and the pumpkin selection was great. Definitely come before 10-11 if you want to avoid lines for everything from parking to the portapotties.

Yelp
Visited the farm not to bad, but I question if what they are selling on the stands are actually from their farm! Products ship it for sale the bake shop is out sourced way to many flys and prices
