We had a quick coffee break on the way back to Ayers Rock from Alice Spring. Staff were welcoming and friendly, coffee was fresh and nice, we bought some chocolate cake too and it was surprisingly good. There was plenty of seating to relax for a few minutes. A great little spot to take a breather on a long drive.

$150 got us a clean room and a super comfy bed — perfect for a night’s rest. But the real winner? The feed and the bar.|Chilled bar bloke, great music, awesome atmosphere… and the biggest beef schnitty you’ve ever seen. Seriously — check the pic, that’s a 6’4” bloke with a 61cm head for scale. Thing needed its own postcode.Food was spot on, beers were ice cold, and it made the long drive feel like a holiday. Absolute gem of a spot

Great stop! The staff were lovely and the chef nailed the special ,super tasty. Toilets are a bit old but very clean. Chill vibe, good food, and a perfect place to break up the drive. Would stop again!

Has been turned into a complete dump. It's lost all and any of its previous charm and character. Don't expect a warm, country welcome as the service is poor, at best. Most of the time you are made to feel like you've interrupted the staff from doing something more important. The bathrooms are filthy and stink of urine. The showers, $5/person, are utterly gross. The Camel Burger was absolutely the most disgusting and inedible thing I've ever eaten. The meat was tougher than crocodile hide. Tasted like it had been boiled, microwaved, deep-fried then grilled to death. Do not eat here. No 91-octane available. But trust me, buy the 95 and keep going, anywhere but here.

Fantastic service and great location. Stayed at the free camp with our bus and had plenty of space to choose where to park. Staff were friendly and serve great food. One stop shop if you’re passing through or wanting to stay the night! We will definitely be back

Great place. We free camped in the free camp area. Plenty of space, level, great little roadhouse pub to have a beer. No phone service (optus) but free payphone out front.

Thanks to my hosts Rhino and Laura for a great restful stay at Stuarts Well Roadhouse; I stayed 4 nights because I could access some great sights nearby: Rainbow Valley, Chambers Pillar and the Napwerte/Ewaninga Rock Carvings - the a great starting off point for Lambert's Centre of Australia and eventually Mount Dare and Dalhousie Springs. |Rhino kept us entertained and the kitchen kept us fed: Great meals - pork spare ribs one night, fish another, and the best lamb shank I've ever had - certainly the biggest!|Great shady powered campsites and a dip in the pool on a rest day was just whayt was needed. |Rhino & Laura have had the roadhouse for only 6 months and created a welcoming oasis for travellers. Worth the stop and a few days lay over.|Thanks to all the staff along with Rhino & Laura. |John from Geelong - Mid April 2025.

We stayed in an ensuite cabin - been refurbished but was freezing at night. A doona would sort that out - rather than a bed spread. Shame about the Roadhouse itself. You need fuel or a pie? Stop and get it, then move on. 100km south to the lovely facilities at Erldunda - 80km north to Alice Springs where there are secure sites for camper vans. No traveller should have to encounter the rudest, most entitled gen zer at the counter, as we did. All people "our age" are racist (not that he knows what that means). Because I asked the young lady there if she was on holiday from Europe. He was very abusive to us, we are interested in talking to people from other countries. We are presently living in Alice Springs and will make sure to spread the word - about the disgraceful treatment. Go on to Erldunda we'll advise. Also dinner was a disappointment. I got the seafood basket and ordered salad with it but got roast pumpkin with it and other roast veggies - must be an Ocker shocker. The place looks like something out of a bad 70s movie. An American idea about what an Aussie roadhouse would look like.
