A hidden gem, diamond in the dust, a Haven of welcome where regulars and impromptu visitors sit in the courtyard café, sipping an apéritif maybe with a slice of homemade quiche, while waiting for the next movie (or not) which they'll watch comfortably seated in the room lit by the beautiful lamps designed by none other than Jean Cocteau 🙏✨🥂💖 J'💕 Studio 28

It's wonderful! The atmosphere is amazing, the service is epic. You really feel comfortable. People talk to you even if they don't know you, just to talk about cinema. My experience here was incredible. Cozy!❤️

Although I was disappointed by the fact that we couldn't bring our drink inside the theater because the seats are not equipped with cup holders, I was mesmerized by the lounge area with a chic and intimate terrace where you can enjoy a glass of wine before or after the movie. I was really digging the hall, which it's smaller then what I am used to.

I love this theater, the staff are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is amazing. If you have a chance, try their quiche!

For me, this is the best movie theater in the world. There is a cinema expert who makes the program for this theater. There is one screen, but there is still a lot of variety each week. They often do a spotlight on a certain director and show his/her films for a few weeks. There is also a nice cafe and bar in the theater. It was featured in the movie Amelie for a few seconds during a montage of Montmartre.

This beautiful and mythical movie theater was built in 1928 and was the first to play Avant Garde movies. The splendid fixtures were designed by Jean Cocteau. Cette très belle et mythique salle de cinéma a été construite en 1928 et l'estuaire 28 fut le premier cinéma à projetter les films avant-garde. Les luminaire de la salle ont été dessinés par Jean cocteau.

This is the best neighborhood movie theater on the planet! I spent my childhood and teen years watching all kinds of movies there: Many Hollywood classics, Grease, Hair, obscure sci fi flix from the 50s and 60s, etc... It's not as cheap as it use to be but it still offers a unique movie going experience. If you live in Montmartre and love movies, you can't pass this up. Please support a little independent cinema that's been around since 1928!

My boyfriend and I recently visited Paris and were staying just around the corner from here. We went to watch a brilliant movie here and had a drink out on the terrace before it began. We wish that we had dinner here before also as they serve quiche and salad it looked amazing. What a brilliant venue, wish we had something similar back home.

A lovely parisian cinema in the montmarte district of Paris - Cosy comfy and traditional - Well priced and friendly helpful staff - personally recommended! I watched there will be blood there in May this year
