I just got my nails done there a couple of days ago. Got an amazing green tea spa pedicure and a gel manicure. I loved the attention I received from the workers and felt very happy I found this place. Would definitely recommend!

Nila is absolutely amazing. She makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. Her massage (vacuum and hand massage) skills are phenomenal. She does a great job of listening to me and working on the areas that are bothering me the most. She has such a positive energy, which is most important for a massage therapist. I will definitely be a regular !!! So happy to have a talented therapist in Studio Diva ! 💜

I went in for partial highlights. Said over and over again that I just wanted a few highlights to frame my face. Very few. Could not have been more specific. I had an appointment with Bella who you could tell wasn't really listening. She pulled up hair in the back to color treat and I told her I don't want any highlights in the back, just around my face. She scoffed and ignored me and colored the hair. Needless to say, I ended up with ALOT more highlights than I wanted. It was a classic case of a hairstylist not listening. On top of everything, the highlights were a bright coppery orange! I've been working to fix them and my hair is paying the price. Go if you are ok with a hairstylists who thinks they know best but doesn't. So frustrating because I was so clear about what I (the client) wanted!

Myself and two friends had made appointments for mani pedi on a Friday afternoon. It was pretty busy but they started on our little group right away. I had to wait a bit but was checked in on a few times if I wanted anything while I waited. Very pleased with the service and care.

Used to go to Bayridge to get my hair done and they would charge me over $285.00 for half head highlights. Went to Studio Diva Salon and the owner Michael was very accommodating as well has I only paid 100.00 for half head! It only took him 1 hr to do and I used to wait up to 3 hours for the process in Bayridge. They also offer a discount on Kerastase! I will now be going to Michael as this salon is very sweet and gives you a welcoming vibe when you walk in! Love it here!!!

She is sweet and kind. Gentle when it comes to pedicures, very clean, and because of the location pretty empty (which I like). Support this small business!

Michael did an outstanding job. You can tell that he truly cares about the result and the client's opinion. Michael listened carefully to my needs and went above and beyond to make my hair look fabulous. The pricing was unbeatable for the quality highlights and haircut. Just moved to NY from Boston and I have procrastinated getting my balayage done because everywhere is SO expensive. I found Micheal here and only saw 2 good balayage pictures but I decided to take the chance. The physical salon is no frills. But I am ECSTATIC with how my hair came out. Speaks for itself. BEST full balayage for $300 total, very competitive for NYC pricing!! I immediately referred my friend who went 4 days later and hers looks even better! (See last pic) Thanks Michael. BEWARE I wish I read the reviews from their other yelp account. That's probably why they made a new one. Immediately as I got there, the red hair lady grabbed something from her bag and brought me downstairs. I realized what she was carrying was the wax cloths and an old bag with tweezers. I get inside the room and the wax pot is just sitting there with no lid... She puts powder on me (didn't wash her hands or wear any gloves) and then proceeds to wax me. Immediately after the first DOUBLE DIP, my whole mood changed. I froze. I was too scared to ask her to stop since she already started but I was so uncomfortable that she would did it back into the communal wax pot! I told her I just want to wax the top please don't go in (I had originally planned to do Brazilian but after seeing her double dip, I didn't want any bacteria or blood born diseases from that gross pot of double dip wax) . I should've just stop her right there !! I just wanted it to be over with she was only doing the top cause I told her. And she wanted to tweeze a few hair I said no thank you. They probably don't sanitize the tweezers....this is a HEALTH HAZARD. someone can have an STD or blood illness and using the same wax pot double dipping is DISGUSTING. The wax is not hot enough to kill bacteria. I feel so sick to my stomach. Literally waxing can cause bleeding and the lady is just reusing the same stick to dip wax in. I paid but I told the man in front that what she's doing is gross. I hope nobody comes here for waxing.

Sandy has been cutting, coloring, and highlighting my hair for many years. She is a true artist, and I cannot say enough about her incredible work! She has an amazing talent to make my color look extremely natural - which is a real gift. Studio Diva is a great location with convenient hours - everyone is very friendly and relaxed. I highly recommend the salon overall and Sandy's haircuts and color are not to be missed!

i really like this place and the vibe is great there but today I got a hair cut from a different person today thinking they all were good at cutting hair but this person did not follow simple instruction, i told this lady to take a bit of the top and she took tons of the top of my hair, and could'nt follow simple instructions to cut my hair.

Love my haircut and full highlights by Tanya! Great experience here and will be back. They were able to fit me in for an appointment same day. Salon is full of friendly people, both clients and stylists who all seem to know each other. Salon has personality and character, not sterile-feeling like many other "chic" salons out there.

I do not recommend this place for balayage, ombre, or anything related to highlighting if you do not already have blonde hair. I provided Michael with balayage picture that I desired and said he could do it. Turns out his whole technique of balayage is not balayage at all but basic highlights as he used foil instead of hand painting throughout my hair. Once the so called balayage was done I saw that parts of my hair was orange and had to ask Michael to tone down the orange. He definitely toned down the orange though was not detailed and left sections of orange. I was charged full price for balayage which is more than than highlights. The color in my hair is not blended at all. I will say the shampoo lady is very polite and the complimentary coffee is pretty good.

Esther gave a great wash, cut & blow dry. Micheal took my appointment on the same day & I felt like a million $$$ when I left. Clean & sleek salon. Everyone was nice & friendly. Parking is tricky so if your driving I recommend atleast 20 min to find it! Also $25 for a kids haircut & small children get to sit on a toy looking in the mirror! After I went and got a manicure. The manager did a great job and they have a special 32 for mani & pedi. (Too bad o had just had the pedi). I will return!

Wonderful experience with Tanya. She cut all of the dead ends off of my hair and gave me a fabulous haircut. I had no idea my hair could have such movement and bounce. It perfectly frames my face. She really has an eye for what looks good with my face shape, and the layers look great. I also had a manicure pedicure while waiting for my hair to absorb a conditioning treatment. My nails and toes look fantastic! I'll definitely be back!

AVOID THIS PLACE. I waited a half hour to have my hair done by an incredibly rude woman. She did the job and turned my previously blonde hair literally yellow. I look insane. I have to go have it corrected at another salon. Despite my calling 3 times and asking for something to be done I never heard back. Finally today they said they'll do nothing tfor me. the response is true, I did say I wouldn't come back. If your hair looked as yellow as mine you wouldn't either. I also live out of town as I expressed which is why I can't come back. Further I said I wouldn't review you at all if you did the right thing--but you didn't. Still no excuse to do someone's hair that way.

Ask for Zoya if you want to color or bleach your hair. I have very dark hair and had never tried out being blonde before, but she did an overall lighter color base and then full head of highlights and somehow she made it look completely natural. She works magic! And she's a very pleasant person too. The only reason I didn't give the salon a 5 is because of the upcharge for using a credit card. I forgot to bring cash the second time I came and had to pay more.

Just needed a simple guy's hair trim. What I got was, "hands - down", exactly the haircut I've always wanted but never quite got. Getting thick, wavy hair to behave is not easily accomplished. Michael knows hair. He tamed my usual lumpy mess in a way that I did not think was possible. Just plain WOW. Needless to say, I'll be back.

What a great experience today! Michael did my color after almost a year without retouching my color! He did an amazing job!!!! My hair wasn't in a good condition at all and he did an amazing job with the color and the hair cut! I totally recommend him. The hair saloon is very pretty too! and the staff very friendly and helpful! :) I will definitely going back!

I've been going to this salon and seeing David for over a year, who was wonderful. When making an appointment this week I was told he no longer works there. As I have very thin hair and like to keep it long I like to get my hair cut every 8 weeks, so I took an appointment anyway. I saw Tanya who cut my hair very unevenly as you can see in the below photo and will not be returning.

I've been going to Studio Diva Salon for a few years. Mario is my stylist. He does amazing color (excellent with high and lowlights) and chose a very flattering warm blond shade for me. I have never had such great haircuts. Mario takes it to the next level, and is truly an artist. He also does Keratin treatments on my frizzy mess for the summer months and it looks great. The staff are professional and courteous and I've never had to wait but I always make an appointment. I think the prices are fair for a salon in Brooklyn Heights. I would give 10 stars if possible!!

After having a previous haircut completely butchered, I found this place on Groupon and bought their haircut package (note, all haircuts are cut by David). I cannot express how much happier I am. David listened to exactly what I wanted, helped fix the haircut, and even gave some opinion on what he thought would look good/bad/etc. I am definitely much happier now with my haircut and will definitely be coming back. Note if you do get the groupon, I was charged an additional "$5 groupon processing fee"

Ester accommodated me last minute and fixed a terrible hair highlight situation just 2 weeks before my wedding. She's kind and talented and listening to exactly what I wanted! I already have my next hair appointment booked with her!

I decided to call this place after noticing a sign advertising a special for a 60 min massage for only $48-in Brooklyn Heights?! I am a member of Massage Envy, and missed half of my appointment due to Uber Pool, and wanted a continuation. They took me immediately, and as their last appointment of the day! Irena from South Russia was wonderful, and has apparently been with the salon for 16 years, which, to me, says something! If they hold this price, I may cancel ME, which has a $40 addl surcharge in NYC! So, ME, is now $80 before tip!

I saw Michael today for partial highlights (just to lighten the front) and blow-out after he gave me a very much needed cut about two weeks ago. After hunting for a new salon/hairdresser in my neighborhood for over 2+ years I couldn't be happier with the results and the service from Diva Salon. Michael and his team have been nothing but gracious, welcoming and accommodating - on top of delivering amazing results. I was hesitant to write this review because when you find something great in this city, most of us are fearful to share. That being said, I couldn't be happier for discovering this hidden gem :)

This place is the worst!! DONT GO HERE! I rarely would ever post a review but I couldn't believe how badly I was treated here. I bought a groupon for the Balayage and haircut. She rushed to do my hair and told me she even did more then she was supposed to but All I'm left with is a bunch of blonde bleached streaks. I'm embarrassed to go out like this. She says toner is not included and I don't really need it. Looks horrible!! Plus to make it worse I called back told I may need to pay to get it fixed and I won't get a refund. In response to Michaels reply: This wasn't bought on Groupon, you gave me the Groupon price. I should have so at least I'd get a refund from them. So in fact you didn't get half of it. I manage a spa in the city and I know exactly how Groupon works, and this is terrible customer service. Regardless of the toner (which btw isn't posted anywhere that it's not included) it's a terrible job done either way. So to blame it on the toner is in fact showing how bad you/staff is experienced. It's not even evenly distributed and it's completely yellow. I don't know how you manage a hair salon this way and then have this kind customer service.

My worst experience in this place, I had purchased a discount coupon and made my appointment, I was not asked if I had a coupon or not, apparently there was a difference on who will serve you. I was denied service (even dough the colorist had no one since I was her appointment) because of y method of payment, I explained, gave the time and name of the person who took my call and made my appointment, but they claimed it was a new receptionist. Well after I showed them the promotion where there was no mention that this was for their new stylist ( to practice and get new clients) the owner agrees to do it ( now the colorist will not touch my hair) then I asked for an eyebrow job, when the colorist told me she was an expert and would do it for me ( really???? NOT) I also wanted to add some highlights, so I inquired about the price, again the colorist wanted to do it. At the end the cut was done by the new stylist, who was hapy and tipsy they will offer you a selection of drinks ( which stylist mentioned some was gone, due to a team lunch) It is probable that some of the services can be good, but by their way to treat new clients, they end up losing many. If you are think your too good to attend new clients with coupons, THEN DO NOT advertise IN THESE SITES, you are doing more damage than getting new clients

I went in for an appt in July 2020 with Michael. It was an incredible experience. He did a root touch up, cut, and style. I have naturally frizzy/coarse hair and he blew my hair out like I have never seen anyone be able to before! It looked beautiful. I will be returning. Also, in light of COVID, some things in place: temp check upon arrival, wore masks, socially distanced, hand sanitizer available to all. It was safe and healthy. I can't wait to return. Also, price is very affordable and worth every cent. Thanks, Michael!

I ended up going back despite the initial pricing situation, because of the quality of service and proximity to my house. The price is basically the same so the Groupon really wasn't a deal, but for regular pricing it's quite good, especially for the level of skill. Tanya really is a great colorist, and she is now my go-to. She's also nice and kind of funny. The last time I went we did a haircut as well which was fine but we sort of ran out of time at the end (the assistant was very ready to go home), so I didn't make any revision requests once dry altho I ideally would've asked to touch up the front and go for shorter side bangs. I went back a couple weeks later midday for that touchup once I was back in town and she wasn't in but Michael kindly trimmed up just the front for me for free (of course I tipped). It took like 5 minutes and looked perfect. I think I'll start going to Michael for cuts and Tanya for color. Overall it's a very good value. The place itself is no-frills (which I like), and I still don't understand the Groupon thing, but the skill level is A+, and they're very nice.

They no longer use Aveda even though their info says they do - called them today to check. Not commenting on how good they are as I have not tried them because I only want Aveda products.

My first time here was in May 2020 with Mario, upon recommendation of a good friend who has been a patron for many years. It was right after hair salons were allowed to reopen after the COVID lockdown eased. They have good safety protocols in place: temperature checks, all employees masked, patrons required to wear masks, chairs extremely well socially distanced (it's a large space too), hand sanitizer easily available. I felt (and continue to feel) comfortable going there. Mario does a wonderful job cutting my hair, is fun to chat with, and the cost is very reasonable for Brooklyn Heights. I highly recommend this spot.

I went in for the Aveda botanical hair and scalp treatment and what a rip of that was. Before the treatment even started I showed the owner of the salon what the whole process entailed and I use to get it done at my old Aveda salon. He assured me that they would do the same treatment. So I went for it but it wasn't even close to the same treatment. All they did was wash my hair, spray some conditioner on it and keep me under the lamp till my head was on fire. No scalp oil massage or conditioning mask like the treatment requires. So that was a completely fail. The only positive at this salon was Adam who blowdried my hair and did an amazing job at it. Awesome blow dry and I loved how honest he was with me when I asked him questions in regards to getting my hair colored. If you must go here, just go and get a service like a blow dry. Anything else would be a rip off.

Never go there!! Went for upper lip waxing and they burn my lip! Avoid at any point going there for any type of service.

Thanks to Yelp I found this gem of a place. It's the best blow out, highlights, & color in Brooklyn Heights! Also just got a facial from Nila and my daughter had her legs waxed, so gentle. A perfect all around salon/spa. Michael, the owner, is fantastic and he has an amazing staff so it doesn't really matter who works on you. Thanks again to Yelp.

I called to ask if they had any appointments available prior to buying a groupon for root touch up and blowdry. They told me to come in that evening, but asked me not to buy the groupon and that they would honor the same deal if paid them directly. I agreed. I arrived early and they took me in right away. Bella was my hairdresser, we talked about what color to use and worked together to figure out the best option. The woman who washed my hair was really thorough and the best part of my visit. After the wash, Bella told me that if I want my hair blow dried it was extra. I explained to her and the woman who I spoke with that the groupon was for root touch up and blowdry. Her response was "no this is for the old ladies who only have 4-5 hairs. Your hair is long and this is extra." I showed her the groupon, but they said no. I never should have trusted them to purchase in person. If you're going in, buy the groupon so that you're not tricked like I was. I ended up walking out with wet hair, not able to see the color of the touch up. I'm really disappointed because I was looking for a place that I could come monthly for touch-ups, but this is not it. Also, they charge fees for using a credit card. Instead they want cash and direct you to their ATM machine. Would not come back.

I had my hair cut by Micheal after cross-checking the salon's reviews on Groupon and Yelp. I've been looking for a place to cut my hair well for years without charging me a fortune, so for $60 for a wash, cut and blow-dry I was extremely happy about the quality of service, value for money and the final results. The lady who washed my hair was very friendly, kind and cared about what she was doing. Micheal was great; we discussed what he was going to do and I got exactly what I wanted and I'm so happy with my cut. Although Friday is busy, I was able to get a same-day appointment. I was in and out within an hour.

I came into the salon at 11am with several pictures of a brunette ombré I wanted. Michael took a look and said he could see me later in the day. He was great - professional, polite and gave me a great color. Very happy with final look and he put in a really pretty beachy wave. 5* experience.

Definitely going to come back here. It's clean, spacious, the staff is friendly and professional, and it's reasonably priced especially considering the neighborhood. I came here for a trim and color on my very long hair, David took such good care of me, I walked out feeling like a million bucks.

I have been a customer for over 11 years. Bella is the best stylist, a genius with scissors and excellent Colorist. I strongly recommend Studio Diva Salon and Spa. The staff is friendly and warm as well as Competent! I wouldn't go anywhere else.

This place has good reviews, but we'll never know why. I bought my wife a Swedish massage and one European facial (2hrs) to help her recover after she ran the marathon. But booking has been a nightmare. They wouldn't take reservations over the phone or on the web, nor would they allow her to use the gift card on weekends, even though the fine print mentions nothing of the sort. The Fine Print Limit 1 per person for 3-pack option. Must activate by expiration date on voucher, 3-pack of services expire 90 days from activation date. Appointment required. Limit 1 per person, may buy 1 additional as gift(s). Limit 1 per visit. 24-hour cancellation notice required. Unless it's a walk in, i'd avoid this place like the plague.

I had my first appointment with Michael yesterday. Moving from a demi-perm to permanent color I wanted professional help, and Michael was great. After a consultation and reviewing a few photos, we decided on a base color and a style of highlights. The results are wonderful and I would recommend this salon. They use great products (Alfaparf for color) and did a really good job.

I had a Living Social deal for an hour massage & facial & both were Amazing. Nice venue, clean & intimate. Nila really knows her craft. She took her time & explained everything she did. She removed blackheads that had been embedded for years in my face with intricate care. My face was bright & glowing when she finished. The massage was the Best Everrr!! If I could have given a 10 I would have seriously.. I definitely will be treating myself every few months.. Lori

This salon is very warm and welcoming. David was my stylist today. He was so kind and attentive. He listened to my concerns and how I wanted my hair. The finished product is amazing and I am so very happy! Thank you David. The rest of the staff was very friendly as well.

I got a gift certificate to try Diva Salon and I was very pleased with the highlights and haircut I got. I've also gotten a massage from Nila which was great. The people are very nice, professional, the place is very clean and the prices are reasonable.

I moved to the neighborhood and I was recommended to Diva Hair Salon. What a find!! Very professional, great haircut and coloring. The staff is so polite and accommodating. I really recommend this neighborhood gem.

Ester, the stylist, is fantastic. She listens to what you want and then executes it beautifully. She is very well liked by her customers and is extremely reliable. And in addition to cutting, coloring and styling hair, she also does excellent beard trimming!

I am giving this Salon a 2 stars for their poor customer service. I bought a gift voucher for their Body Message at 2 separate occasions. Every times when the person who received the gift voucher went for the massage and ask for sport massage they insist that he has to pay $15 more. In their web site the price they advertised for the Swedish Massage is the same as the Sport massage; in addition that when I ask for the gift certificate I am not ask what kinds of massage you want, but always when the person present the gift certificate he is told oh this gift certificate was bought at a discount for the Swedish Massage. ( They should probably be reported for false advertising?) That is not limited to gift voucher, it applies to all their services including their hair cuts with Michael (the owner) as well.I recently find out he has been charging my neighbor that I referred to his salon 45 while charging me 52-56 and that is without blow drying and hers include blow dry. So go figure out. As I said, it is not the service, it's the uncertainty that has been a common practice at the salon

I had been coming to this salon a few times for just a trim but over the weekend went in for a drastic hair cut (my hair was quite long) and full head highlights. The process took a while, as expected, but they did all they could to keep me comfortable. I was nervous about coloring my hair but Michael did an amazing job. He got t exactly as I wanted it. I'm naturally blonde and just wanted to brighten things up for the winter. He was even patient with me as we cut my hair almost inch by inch to ensure I was ok with the shorter length. It was an incredible experience and definitely consider this salon as my regular place. Michael was amazing and the rest of the staff was so accommodating. Thank you!!

After reading the reviews on Yelp I decided to risk it and attempt my 6th visit to a salon within 2 months. I have fine, thin hair and have always wanted a pixie cut. I had been to 5 salons in Bay Ridge, nearly called out sick from work each time. From butchered cuts to orange/yellow coloring I was helpless and hopeless. I came across Studio Diva Salon on Yelp, a salon close to my office. When I walked in my first words were "help me" and right away Michael and his staff got to work. I had no appointment and looked like a train wreck and they all welcomed me with open arms. Michael toned down the awful highlighting job that instead gave me a brassy yellow/orange look as well as shaped up the my hair style to the actual photo I showed 5 hair stylists prior. No more Salon searching. Michael @ Studio Diva Salon will now and forever be my go-to. Thank you thank you thank you!

I've been going to Diva for many years and have never been disappointed. Michael always does a wonderful job. My friend also had her hair done by Bella and she was very happy with the results. The ladies who wash your hair are also great, they make me want to fall asleep as they wash my hair. Go here, you'll be happy you did.
