If the German artist Anselm Kieffer would ever open a showroom/gift shop this would come close. A monotone palette of cool grays spelling gloom and doom, an upside down crucifix, a scale to rival opera sets (Faust comes to mind) and an overpowering theatricality. A serious gallery vibe that accepts no humor or signs of everyday life.
Luckily we were waited upon by a warm, friendly sales woman and when I inquired about who Oliver was, the designer himself suddenly appeared like the ghost of Christmas past, overheard my question but walked past by us oblivious to any basic courtesy.
The two gray dogs, (of course they matched the overall palette of the interiors) , were also possessed by the owner's self importance.
The only information I was able to get is that Oliver apprenticed under Tage Andersen, which if one has visited his flower shop (at København K- Helligånds), everything Oliver does now will make sense.
The applejack afterall does not fall far from the tree.
