How to take a sauna in Stockholm if it’s your first time - SilverKris

"Tucked under a high-end shopping centre, Sturebadet feels like a luxury health club: beyond the standard gym facilities it offers a large hot tub, a stunning pool, heated stone seats and a large sauna, plus a health food café and complimentary fresh fruit for guests — perfect if you want a detox day." - James Wong

Of all bath facilities I've been to in Sweden this was the most "European". People are nice and friendly. Talking to each other. Good food. Food staff. Clean and fresh. Everything. One exception: there's a trash can in the F sauna/steam bath. That's disgusting. Anything else super good. Loved it. Here's some photos & go try it out.

We had a very enjoyable time at Sturebadet! The lunch & cocktails were tasty before we headed up to the hammam. The sauna was small but nice. A highlight was the cold pool. Very nice! Pro tip: if you’re staying at The Bank Hotel, you can have the front desk email to get a complimentary visit.

Sturebadet is a hidden gem in the heart of Stockholm! Very relaxing place to enjoy the spa and get a massage. Great little restaurant for a bite when relaxing - you can also get a membership like a gym! Instagram TOAST to the weekend, let’s relax at the spaaaaaaa! 🥂🍞🍤🥗🥟🥠🦞🎉 📸 Toast Skagen 📸 Sturebadet’s Shrimp Salad 📸 Bao @Sturebadet Sturebadet is singular because there is no other place like this exclusive and historic spa in the heart of Stockholm 📍Stockholm 🇸🇪

We were greeted by a warm, friendly, knowledgeable and delightful woman. She explained our package, gave us directions and didn’t disappoint. The facilities are more than we expected. Beautiful! Workout, relax and/or rejuvenate, the choices are many. The food was tasty and filling. The surroundings, serene. Next time in Stockholm make an appointment, you’ll be glad you did!

The sauna and hot tubs were all closed, which is why we went in the first place. Clean, nice gym otherwise but not really a spa.

Nice central location in the city. Was my first trip. Went with a friend and we had a lovely few hours, nice dinner and just relaxed using the facilities. A little expensive 🫰I would say, but it is central Stockholm and I can't compare to other places. All in all nice service and a good vibe throughout my experience!

Not sure how I felt about the lunch, but the Turkish bath part was refreshing and rejuvenating. Even the simple touch of having cold drinking water right there outside the saunas was a nice add to keep you refreshed while doing hot and cold alternations

A charming spa getaway! My friend and were looking for a spa to spend a day in while on vacation in Stockholm. We knew this is no Budapest when it comes to spas, but I've read a lot about this place, and decided to try. We went there for a Spa Day on a business day, and it was totally worth it, the price wasn't really high, and it wasn't busy. We came at 10 AM, were greeted by the lovely stuff that gave us towels and bath robes, and instructed us where to go. We went upstairs, figured out how to lock the lockers (really easy!), and went to the pool. For some time there were only us and charming senior people. We spent wonderful 6 hours there, swimming, bathing, chilling, relaxing in aroma room and really liked the Turkish bath too! Sometimes we had to wait for some spots in hydromassage bath, but that's okay. We have also had a nice lunch when we got hungry (the portions were huge and they had vegetarian options), and coffee and tea were also included. You can pay for the meal by card on the spot, or just put the bill on your guest card and pay for it later as you check out from the facility. That's pretty handy! There was drinking water almost everywhere, and complimentary fruit and nice tea selection. All in all we felt great and had an awesome experience. Totally worth the ~60 EUR.
