You can either sit outside in the very cute courtyard, or walk up a narrow staircase and find yourself in a cozy space. The pastries are delicious, and English is spoken here. Free cold water is available, and the general ambience is very relaxing.

One of the best cafes in Stockholm, probably no1 when it comes to atmosphere. Has nice meatballs which you can grab for lunch, or enjoy a nice baked bun.

One of the oldest restaurant of Stockholm, really lovely with these old type chairs and rooms, quite cosy but can be really busy. Loved the chai latte and the kanelbulle there! You have enough space for small groups of 6-8 people if you're lucky!

Lovely old style design inside and beautiful garden outside where you can seat down and chill with a cup of coffee ☕ Prices are kind of high: bun and coffee around 8 euro.

Very pleasant place! Super cozy and mega friendly staff. You can sit and work here, take a coffee with a gang of friends, take a lonely coffee and just feel the vibe of one of the more relaxed parts of Östermalm. Even a pretty good place to date at and still it doesn’t feel like a tourist place. The 4stars is only because of the price. 39kr for a black coffee...

The place is hidden and has alot of rooms, very comfy ambient, I was surprised to find this style of cafe in central Stockholm. It's pricy but it's quite authentic Swedish fika style. I would recommend it to people to try, especially when there aren't so many special Swedish fika placera to try.

This place was so incredibly cozy! Very cute and old school stairs up to the café where you could sit in a living room setting with old wooden floors. The service was great and the pastries and the coffee as well. Keep it mind that it's a bit pricey though, but totally worth it! Around 50 SEK for a latte and 40 SEK for a saffron bun.

One of the oldest coffee places in Stockholm. Cozy and great desserts, although the Americano is way too strong))

Yelp
Sturekatten is one of the 'secret' treasures of Stockholm's. It is located in Östermalmstorg (might be a bit hard to find) but totally worth it to spend some extra time trying to find it, you won't regret it! A taste of the Swedish culture where you can find two floors of old paintings furnitures and Swedish history, all an experience! There's also a terrace, I can't even imagine how nice it must be during the summer(looking forward to go there next summer!) They serve food, warm drinks, soda, smoothies, sandwiches, pastries etc and everything seems pretty fresh. I had a smoothie and it was perfect, not too sweet not too bitter. The service is really good, it's usually full, the staff work none stop but they still manage to keep it clean and going. If there's something negative I can say about is that there's no wi-fi, but that's a good excuse to enjoy the experience by taking a break from the social media haha! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did;)

Yelp
First time in Sweden, first time in Stockholm, and first time eating semla! When I travel, I don't like going to touristy places. I like going to places that only locals would know. So here we are, taken by our local friend in Sweden, to his secret spot in the city :) The cafe was cozy and homie, definitely a place with culture and history. Bookmarked this place and will be back again. Meow!

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, a little bit Hipster style, with old furniture and acceptable coffee. Although the close at 6, they did not immediately kick us out. This is such a nice thing for a swedish restaurant. Thumbs up.

Yelp
I always go to this cafe because it is so quaint and has a cosy atmosphere. I liked the fact that I could hang my coat on the hanger they had. The only downside is it is a bit small and the prices are pretty high but I guess that is expected. However the quality of the food is really good and I guess it's nice to treat yourself once in a while.

Yelp
I absolutely adored the look of this cafe and wanted to come here since I first arrived. I came here for fika with my partner and it was just delightful. Your enter the cafe from a the twisted stair case and order your food from the counter. They had a beautiful selection of cakes and coffee. The decor of the actual cafe is really beautiful and old. Reminds me of a grandmothers living room, very cute furniture, floral pieces, carpet and heavy curtains. I went for the princess cake and coffee where my partner has the passion fruit cheesecake. Both very really really delicious. The cheesecake won for me because it was so light an creamy. We sat outside in the courtyard as it was a nice day an the decor inside I thought would be very girly for himself haha. The courtyard however in my option is even nicer, it got loads of seating, blankets of you get cold and a lovely rustic view. My only criticism was the lack of waiter service, we had to carry our own drinks and cakes downstairs, without a tray which felt a bit dodgy as the steps are a quite uneven. A lot of people sat down in the courtyard around us expecting a waiter to come by too as It just feels like the type of place that would have that so its a bit unexpected. Otherwise I give it a full 4 stars!

Yelp
Housed in a building from the 1700s is a strange cafe where all the interior seems to be from the beginning of the last century. Note that it is a few floors up and the only way to get there is to use the narrow winding stairs. There have been a lot of reviews elsewhere about how arrogant and rude the staff are. When I visited the staffed seemed OK, but not particularly helpful. The prices are quite high, a coffee is 26 SEK but all you get is reheated brewed coffee. Pastries are OK, but nothing special, they were not that fresh. Go for the interior if that's your thing, otherwise try any of the other coffee places in the area that will have better coffee, pastries and service.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to take friends from outside Sweden. I think I have been here at least 4 times. It's sooo cozy. It feels like going to my great-grandmas house - never had one but still. It's a very well visited place on two floors. I had this time vaniljbullar with hot chocolate. Hmm so good. We sat next to the window and on the other side was a dagis/kindergarden where the kids were practicing Lucia. so cute. I will definitely come back here. Plus, I would have never find this place if my swedish friend didn't show me.

Yelp
I just moved to Stockholm with my wife ad she wanted me to experience a Konditori which is apparently harder and harder to find. This is a very nice (cozy) converted building with an old world charm. The food is very good (sandwiches, coffee, desserts) and I would highly recommend it for a lazy afternoon fika or even a casual business lunch. Very good!

Yelp
Wow what an amazing place! Delicious sweets and sandwiches. The restaurant looks like a massive version of my grandmothers house, combined with a dollhouse. There are many rooms where you can take a seat and enjoy the goodness. Funny place and must see!!

Yelp
It is indeed a hidden treasure. If you want to go to an old house with lovely cosy rooms with a nice early 20th century feeling and have a nice tea with cakes or pastries, go there it is well worth it. My daughter and I went there one afternoon and had very good tea and nice typical swedish pastries, not the best in town but good nevertheless. A sort of trip back in time

Yelp
I don't know how I went so long before discovering this place. The alley entrance to the winding staircase to the cozy, old rooms where your grandmother lives. I love the atmosphere here. Absolutely perfect place for a Sunday morning fika. It's questionably expensive and so very, very average in every way possible for everything they serve, but it hardly matters. It feels old and used in a well-worn, loved sort of way. I imagine what Stockholm used to be, before the bright white tiles took over and the facade of being somewhere else. It reminds me of the places that feel like home. The genuine, authentic feeling you crave in the morning before you can deal with the complexities of the modern world. Start a conversation; feel alive.

Yelp
Very friendly staff and great food. Try the ham and chews focaccia bread and the carrot cake. I wouldn't recommend the chai latte. Also on hot day in the summer make sure to sit outside.

Luasal C.

Yelp
This is a FANTASTIC place. I loved the Raspberry pie and cheesecake - highly recommend those. Also the apple pie is great. Coffee: I had espresso (great) and also Americano, which is a totally different experience than a real American coffee. Americano has free refills - a bonus!! Tastes very close to espresso - for you, coffee lovers! I have been here every day and will come again!

Yelp
Konditori Sturekatten is like going to visit your great-grandmother. The interior is so kitschy/old which I suppose is unique. Expect to burn a few calories going up their winding staircases prior to indulging in buns, sandwiches or a slice of princess cake. The coffee wasn't the greatest and it was self-serve. I was surprised that the staff was kind of aloof, as this is supposed to be a pretty well-known konditori. Next time, I'm going to Vette-Katten.

Yelp
One of top bakeries in sthlm! it s busy so it s hard to find a seat and the staff is sometimes confused. If you can't deal with all the people, get a take away. Try the princess cake for something local. The cinnamon buns are one of the best in town too. As to The previous review. Prices are sthlm prices. Count 80-100 kr for a coffee and a cake, pastry. If you want it cheaper and are not bothered about the quality go to 7Eleven or pressbyrån.
