Harbor Springs, Michigan Is the Best Small U.S. Town for a Lake Vacation in 2024
"A three-mile stretch of picturesque shoreline prized for its impossibly clear water and wide sandy expanse; visitors are often advised to arrive after lunch so the shallows have time to warm, or to climb nearby sand dunes for a warm-up before a brisk dip. An inland route via State Road can shave about 15 minutes off the coastal drive and passes a well-known local restaurant en route." - Leilani Marie Labong

A rural, natural beach. We spent hours here and loved it. We looked for Petoskey stones and other beautiful stones. By far, our favorite beach of the trip!

Just wow. This beach is isolated and remote but it's worth it. The sand dunes are beautiful and the water is crystal clear. It's very sandy, barely any rocks. It's peaceful here. The Internet says there's a bathroom here but be warned, there is no bathroom. Plan accordingly.

Quite the Lake Michigan beach ... for a long, long walk, a swim (some rocks and stones), or nice quiet moment to reflect. Rustic. Dunes. Deer . . . and a log or two washed up on the shore. Been a few times during fall, winter, and early Spring ... beautiful.

Amazing views. Very buggy and no dogs.

Pack your chairs, snacks, and drinks. This is a super cute little beach. Not super rocky, mostly sand. This is a "rustic beach" out in the middle of nowhere, so don't expect amenitiess like a state park. Worth the visit.

This is our FAVORITE beach in all of Michigan! Lots of room for swimming and beach walking. Can't wait to go back!

Great place to walk along the shore, skip rocks or have a beach picnic. Limited parking along side of the road. Water crystal clear and cold.

So pretty. We showed up just as everyone scattered due to the encroaching storm. It felt like a dream. Very special.
