Su Nuraxi di Barumini

Su Nuraxi di Barumini is a place where you can truly feel how powerful this land is. Walking through this Nuragic complex, you sense the strength, intelligence, and resilience of an ancient civilization deeply connected to earth and sky. The stones hold memory, the silence speaks, and the landscape amplifies the experience. More than a historical site, this is a place that awakens respect, presence, and a deep connection to Sardinia’s ancestral roots. Absolutely unforgettable.

This place is unique and worth visit. However local guides should warn the guests about the steep stairs and narrow stone corridors. These are very risky for older and non-athlethic and plp with Claustrophobia. That was not the case in our group, hopefully no worse accident happened.

UNESCO world heritage. Very interesting historical place to visit. Very good guided tour (eng) at this +1500 years old fortress. Be prepared for narrow and steep walkways within the structure.

The past can be touched and felt. Amazing piece of history. The tour guide was very kind and funny. No question left un answered. But note: The pathways inside the tower are really narrow and steep. Good footwear needed ...not for claustrophobic people or when afraid of hights.

Beautiful important archaeological site. The tours are every 30 minutes and they last 1 hour. Tour is available in English too, price is decent and includes the museum in the village ahead of the site and other activities as well. Highly recommended.

Interesting former fort. An archaeological experience although much reconstructed. Tour takes you up the remains and into the narrow tunnels. Inside isn't for information or claustrophobic! Fascinating site and location. Tours are required and run every half hour. Unesco interest.

It's a good experience since you learn a bit of the history of Nuragis, also the archeological site is quite impressive due to the rock sizes, however, it is a short visit, no museums or any other interactive experience that will explain or show more about the history of Nuragis besides what the guide explains. Short experience, it's worth to visit if you are driving through.

One of the most unique experiences that you can have on the island of Sardinia. The place can be only visited with a guide, but it will be well worth the visit. If you are visiting during the summer time, make sure that you will have some umbrella or some long sleeves so that you will be protected from the Sun. Sunscreen is definitely a must. The guide will explain the entire history and will give some interesting facts about the structures. Overall, this is definitely one of the must visit places on the island and with one ticket you get to visit two more places.
