I can't remember the last time a hotel had me in tears but this place achieved it. The room was sad and tired, the bathroom (well loo and shower, wash basin was outside in room) was grotty and stained. The bed linen was clean and the air con worked, are the only good things I can think to say.||||Breakfast was included they said, well this just did it for me. Breakfast is a very, very loose description for what was on offer. I have never seen a clear glass jar of nasty looking coffee, one of sugar, one of powdered milk and a hot water thermos on a breakfast buffet before, not that I could call it a buffet there was nothing else on the table. The waiter approached us and showed us the Western breakfast was toast, juice and coffee, we said okay. Two sad piece of nasty white toast, a pat of butter and pat of red jam arrived along with a glass of what tasted like pure orange sugar arrived.||||I really am not a princess, I have stayed in grotty places when I was a young student, but not now I am on the wrong side of 50, I have to say this place had me in tears.||||Location wise it was away from everywhere you want to go in Chiang Mai, unless of course you are a doctor, the big Maharaj hospital is right at the top of the street leading down to this hotel.||||We found another hotel to move to after that hideous breakfast, the hotel said they would cancel the rest of our stay but their English was so poor I don't know if that will happen, but to stay there another night would have finished me off.
