Great budget hotel. I love these old hotels. Big rooms and a small balcony. Clean bedding and towels etc. Good shower. Solid old style wooden furniture that doesn't fall apart in 5 minutes. Lovely smiling receptionist and friendly night person. Convenient for night market, Indochina market and 7 11 across the road.

A really Nice hotel in every Way. Very clean and spacious rooms. Incredible service at the reception always with Big and welcoming smiles. Just opposite a 7/11 and 2 min walk to the Indochina marketstreet. Also just 1 min walk from the clocktower in the city center. I would come back any Day to this hotel cause it really Got all you need

Check-in was difficult, reception staff didn't have our reservation. We had already paid for the room, and it took a while to communicate this, with staff trying to take payment again. Room was nice and clean, but the bed was very hard. The water in the bathroom was piping hot with no way to change it. Location is very good, although if there is live music in the nearby square this can be heard from some of the rooms.

Room is big and clean. Nice towel. Good water pressure. Nearby is the night market. Parking available. Good for staying 1 nite. In the morning you can hear people checking out. Check in staff 'Lat' was very helpful.

This is no resort, but it is clean and cool. The cleaning staff was great! The desk was not cheerful, but not rude. Then free WiFi never worked, but they said it would soon =). Close enough to walk to all the places we wanted to go. The bed was not too hard or too soft, but you could tell where heavy people had sat in the past. Needs a foam topper to be nice. Someone had broken the towel rack off the wall and it was barely hanging there. There were the 2 normal bottles of water in the refrigerator, and the small lobby had hot tea, chocolate and coffee if you wanted it. All in all it is good for the money. I don't know how you could expect much more for the price. The other hotels in the city are not that nice for the extra you will spend in my opinion. Ploy Palace is considered the best by the locals. There are to levels of rooms 100 baht apart. The difference is a refrigerator.

I don't normally give five stars, but for me this hotel gets right 100% of what I want from a hotel. It's clean and bright looking, the air conditioning is good, the water in the shower is hot, a little refrigerator, enough hangers, a balcony to dry clothes on, and look down at the 7/11. I've stayed here 5 or 6 times over the last 6 years, and it still looks good. If I was to complain, the wifi was a bit slow, so I just use my own data. Update: I knocked it down to 4 stars after my latest stay, Mayl 2024, I was on the 5th floor and I guess the water tank is on the roof but the water from everywhere was absolutely scalding hot. I turned off the electricity to shower water heater but that had zero effect. And the a/c really needs to be replaced, it's getting old.

We spent only one night at the hotel and got what we expected. Pretty large room, clean and quite comfortable with adequate bathroom.||There is a kettle in the reception area for hot water - it comes handy for a morning coffee / tea.||Overall, we were happy with our choice. Submukda Grand Hotel delivers good value for its relatively low price.
