Sudamala Resort, Sanur

The resort has a very paradise, tropical oasis style to it. It has a very unique large garden, which makes the whole place very spacious and comfortable to be in. In addition, the poolside area is quite large and stylish and even if there are other guests you do not feel bothered because the space. |The staff is beyond professional and very kind, approachable and helpful. We felt the staff was also one step ahead in accommodating our needs, which made the experience even better. |The room was quite large and spacious and clean. Considering the bathrooms open to the outside, one could think of providing mosquito citronellas to prevent mosquitos from entering. However, it was not a problem to us. |The breakfast has a lot of different and healthy options and we were very pleased with the standard. |Finally, the location was within walking distance to the beach - and even though the beach is public, the resort provided sun beds, umbrellas and towels to the guests for free. Same goes for the use of bikes, which was a nice touch and cool way to get around Sanur. ||We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

First time staying at Sudamala however not the first in Sanur. We have always preferred the other end of Sanur, but now total converts. Location is good, short distance to the beach, lots of eating places nearby, good walking options. Hotel is traditional Balinese in design but plenty of modern touches. Huge pool - albeit a tad too warm but I’m sure that isn’t all year round. Staff are lovely, very accommodating and friendly. We will definitely return.

This hotel is fantastic - the Balinese-style decor is lovely, and it's perfectly situated near Sanur's restaurants and bars. The staff are super friendly, and the rooms are roomy and spotless. The coffee capsules in the room are a great touch, and the non-buffet breakfast is surprisingly good, with a great selection from starters to desserts. My only issues were the mosquitoes in the room, which were a real nuisance, the saggy mattress that made for an uncomfortable night's sleep, and the poorly designed bathroom floor that doesn't drain water properly.

This was the best hotel we stayed in during our trip to Indonesia. We felt very comfortable there and came home feeling completely relaxed. This hotel was actually a replacement for us, as our original hotel was undergoing construction. Luckily for us! We were there in early September. The rooms are nicely furnished and spacious. It´s a quite small hotel, has a beautiful big garden and is a peaceful oasis in the middle of Sanur. The pool area is also very nicely laid out and is almost always empty. |The beach is nearby — about a 5–7 minute walk at a slow pace with two children. There are hotel loungers with towels provided on the beach. If you stay at one of the beach hotels and your room is at the back, you will probably have to walk the same distance to reach the beach. The beach is very wide and fairly empty. Near the shore, there is seaweed (but this is the case throughout Sanur). The benefits of this part of the beach were that the further you walked to the right (just 20-50 meters), there was less and less seaweed. |The food at the hotel was delightful. I don’t understand why they haven't received a Michelin star yet. The menu includes Indonesian and European cuisine. And the prices in the restaurant were normal. We only ate once at another restaurant, in a beach hotel, on the first day – the food there was OK, but nowhere near as good as the food at our hotel. There was simply a class difference. Even our very picky children tried different dishes there every day (dishes they would never have tried elsewhere). We and our children miss the restaurant very much.|That was a wonderful time for us in the Sudamala Resort, and we cannot see any negative aspects.

Sudamala has all characteristics of grandeur, Giant Rooms, Spacious Pool, nice greenery. But looking closely it does not offer the level of quality I was hoping for. ||||The lay-out of the room was such that you are lying directly next to the hallway while trying to sleep. Not only it feels odd, people wandering the tiled halls or going up the stairs. Starting at 6.30 in the morning by staff (with some crisp walkie talkie noises on top) made we wake up early every day.||||The restaurant was overpriced for what we got.||||Secondly the bathroom was experiencing severe moisture issues.

My first impressions of the Sudamala Resort. Wow !|Meticulous grounds & gardens.|Had the pleasure of staying in a garden villa and then later, upgraded to larger poolside villa. Both were very, very luxurious, comfortable, beds comfy, quality rooms.|Staff were top notch, best I've come across, nothing was a drama.|Arus Restaurant out front, aircon section or garden area had both traditional & western food, liked everything on the menu it's that good.|There is a reserved beach section close by, beach loungers & umberallas on Sanur beach. Good place to relax day b4 flight home.|Just GO !

My daughter and I enjoyed an exceptional week staying at the delightful Sudamala. Exceptional staff, beautiful rooms, wonderful pool and great location. It was so nice to walk out and feel like we were in a little village rather than straight into tourist central. Yet only a short stroll away and you’re in amongst the action of the beachfront of Sanur. A perfect balance. The staff were particularly kind to leave a gorgeous Happy Birthday offering in our room for my daughter. Such a lovely surprise and so kind of them. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely beautiful accomodation. First time staying in Sanur. Beautifully designed hotel on the main trip of Sanur (not beach side). Close to shops, restaurants and a short taxi ride to the beach or about 20 min walk to main beach strip. The staff are so lovely. The decor is stunning. The included breakfast was amazing.Such a gorgeous hotel and definitely recommend this for your upcoming stay in Sanur.
